An alternate email is not used for resetting security questions, your rescue email address is. You won't be able to change that address until you can answer your questions, if you don't have access to that email account then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset (these are user-to-user forums).

How do I hide HTML code for hyperlinks in blog commments? Here's the background:
I happily and easily include text hyperlinks all over the place in my website, using iWeb. I can even do this when creating a new entry in my blog. In all cases, the actual HTML code is hidden, and the hyperlinked text is, as usual, in a different color (to indicate that it's a link).
However, let's say someone leaves a comment to a blog entry, and I want to respond using the Comments box when I'm viewing the blog online, via Safari or IE or Firefox. And let's say I type a word that I want to also use as a hyperlink, that will take someone to another website.
So far, the only way I've discovered to add hyperlinks in a Comment is to actually type the HTML command right in the Comments text box (then add my name, URL, type in the secret image verification code and click "Add Comment").
When the new comment, with hyperlink, appears on the blog entry page, the hyperlink is active -- however, the entire HTML code also shows up. For example, here's what appears, on-screen, when I want someone to click "here" to get to my website landing page:
Click (a href="http://www.davidalanmoore.com")here(/a) to go to my homepage.
NOTE: I used parens instead of carats in the line, above, in order to show what actually happens in the real world... unfortunately, this forum is so well done that it actually read my carats, created a real hyperlink and hid the HTML -- which is what DOESN'T happen in the blog comments!

Yes, the http:// part does make it become a hyperlink, as in the example I noted in my question. That is, the hyperlink works... it's just that all of the HTML code that makes it a link is also visible.
For example, take a look at the following sentence, that includes a hyperlink -- a hyperlink for which Apple's Discussion Forums automatically reads the HTML correctly, hides the code, and turns the text for the word "here" into a different-colored hyperlink:
"Click here to go to the comments page where I'm having the problem."
Now compare that hyperlink to the way a hyperlink actually appears in a "Comment." Click the word "here" in the sentence just above this one. You'll be sent to a blog entry on my website. If you look at the fourth comment on that page you'll see what iWeb does to a hyperlink: it creates link that works, but it also shows all the HTML code (e.g., "(a href="http//..... etc., etc.).
I'm trying to make that code invisible in the Comments, as it is invisible on these discussion boards. (See two paragraphs above: a link, but no visible HTML code.)
I'm not sure if I'm making sense... I'm just trying to be thorough so people don't accidentally waste their time answering a question I'm not asking. Bottom line, I don't want the HTML code visible, on-screen, when I create a hyperlink in a blog comment.

I have several Windows terminals in my workplace waiting room which I provide for customers to access multimedia content. I want to have Quicktime Pro on these machines, but after I enter in my Quicktime Pro serial number, there is nothing stopping somebody from clicking Edit > Preferences > Register, and then doing a Copy & Paste of my registration code and emailing to themselves!
Is there anyway to hide my registration code? Why do Apple even bother making users pay for this software, when they make it so easy to compromise?

I don't want to be disturbed while I am working so I am trying to hide the number of unread mails in my dock-symbol. I remember, that - some years ago - I could switch my preferences to not show any mails in my dock, but with the new Lion, I can just select wether I want to show all the unread mails or just the unread mails listet in my inbox.
Any suggestions, how I can hide the number of unread eMail in my dock?

If you go to Settings>Notification Centre>Mail each of your email accounts will appear here separately. You can then change if Badges are displaye on the Mail App - which will show you the number of emails - or not.

I just hit "forward", then once in the message box, I delete all the previous messages, which included the former recipients. I just send the new current message to the one person I want to see it. Just make sure you don't hit "reply to all". . Good luck.

How can I hide a JPanel?

I have some JPanels and using the mouse motion listeners you can scribble on them. I want to be able to switch between these panels but the problem is the drawings get wiped off when I use repaint() and frame.add(panel).
Any ideas how else I could try doing this?

Hi,, i've got a question about, how can i hide an element of a view?, this element colud be a group, a label, an input field, any element that i can put in the view layout.
My view has an ALV, an inputfield and a Table with a button, so when i click on a line of the alv, it shows data in the table and in the inputfield, and when i click on the button of the table, i want to hide the table and the inputfield, until i clik on the alv again to make appear the table and the inputfield.

It can be done easily by <b>context binding</b> the visibility property of the table and input field UI element to a node attribute whose type would be WDY_BOOLEAN.
1. Initially the node attributes default value would be 'X'.
2. When you click the button in the ALV, in the event handler of that button change the binded node attribute value to ' '.
3. When on lead selection of the table again change the binded node attribute field value to 'X'.
4. Below is the sample code to read the binded node attribute and toggle the visiblity attribute to 'X' if it is ' ' and vice versa.

How can you hide a Continue button until all clickboxes are clicked?

I have seen similar questions to this one, but none seemed to be the exact situation as mine.
What I have: Several images on a screen. When a user clicks an image it is replaced with another image. I am using clickboxes for this task. I do not wish for them to toggle back and forth. Once they click the original image it should stay changed.
What I am trying to do: Once a learner clicks all the images (in no particular order) a Continue button appears that allows them to go to the next screen.
If anyone has some suggestions on this situation please let me know, thanks.

I cannot log in on the forum for the moment, so will try by answering by
mail. I was aware of that problem (have presented those solutions so
often), thought that since you left all images visible once the click box
was clicked it wouldn't be a problem.
Two possible solutions:
   1. Easiest one: add a statement in the Always decision that will Hide
   the click box just clicked. It has no sense to click it another time. That
   will mean that you still can do it with a shared action but that shared
   action will have two parameters now, the second one being the click box
   that has to adapted on each application of the shared action.
   2. If you don't want to make the click box hidden (which means at the
   same time disabled), you'll need a user variable for each click box,
   starting with a default value of 0, and toggle it in the Decision 'Always'
   to 1. The second decision will then need a condition that checks the value
   of all the user variables (with AND) and shows the Next button only when
   all variables have the value of 1.

How can I hide the borders and keep it as an option? I had someone go into the css I believe, and make it so there were no borders visible on the page (I could see the dotted outline while working on it, but when pushed, it wasn't visible (which is what I wanted). They called it "noborders." Since I had to reinstall, it went away. Help?
