How do I hide the background color?

I am having trouble with backgrounds, I think. When I move a clip to the work area all I get is a solid red color I believe it to be the background color) with the sound still there. What am I doing wrong?

I'm not sure why you're seeing red. If anything, a background should be black before you add anything to it.
If you want a background behind a clip, just put it on the Video 1 track and put your clip on the Video 2 track above it.
If your clips are all coming out red, it could be that they're using an incompatible codec or that you've got a mismatch between project settings and your source. What type of camcorder did this video come from and how did you get it into your computer? What project settings are you using in Premiere Elements?

Themes work in Thunderbird - duggabe was not refering to Firefox.

How do I change the background color of a row in a table indicator? I know how to change the background color in a active cell, but that is not what I want. My first intent is to make the background color of the first row a unique color, such as green, just to highlight the top row of the table.

You can change the background display color in the playback preferences, either black, white, or checkerboard. This does not change the output color. If you want to add a color to the video, you have to place a custom generator underneath your video and change the color in the inspector.

How do I hide the background when I shape an image in 3D?

This is a problem that has cropped up before but I'm going to simulate it.
Say in this instance I want to overlay the picture of a kitten over a ball image. I've already extracted (roughly) the background from the kitten picture. I want to use 3D to warp it to the shape of a sphere but I've still got the ball's default background colour as well. How do I hide the background colour of the ball entirely so only the, warped, image of the kitten is visible to overlay over the ball image?
When I wrap the kitten image onto a 3D sphere mesh preset I get the default background
And when I try to overlay it over the 2D ball image the background prevents correct overlaying. I want just the kitten pic

I saved a Word document as a PDF and the background color is yellow. The Word document is white. On the PDF, the background is yellow and the inserted graphics and boxes are white.
How do I change the background color of the PDF? And is there a default setting for the color. This happens every time I need to create a PDF from a Word document.

Please check the following Preferences:
Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Accessibility -> make sure "Replace Document Colors" is unchecked.

Can I invoke a SubVI in an event? and how do I set the background color of a pipe to #0000ff?

When I click an image or a glass pipe(which belongs to Industry/Chesmitry category in palette), I want a SubVI to be invoked.
The purpose is to fetch an OPC-UA data from a web service and to write to it via the service.
We are building an HMI solution which displays an interactive water plant diagram.
When users click pipes and motors in the diagram, clicked devices should be turned on and off and change their animations or colors accordingly.
OPC-UA is for communication with devices.
I couldn't even set the background color of a pipe to "#0000ff", but setting it to "Red" or "Blue" was possible, and I don't know how to invoke SubVIs in event scripts.
The documentations in NI.com are confusing and lack depth.
Even silverlight references are confusing.
How do I do all of these?

How are you publishing your webservice? Is this also in LabVIEW?

Perhaps you (or anyone else!) can help me with this too: is it possible to change the color of the border styles that you choose for the thumbnails on a photo page? There is no "fill" option in the Graphic pane of the inspector when I select one of them. I love some of the styles but would like to be able to match the color better to my pages. Create a rectangle, and fill the whole page with it. Change the colour and then use text boxes to put writing on the background. Its a bit complicated because the background can move when your moving text boxes and making the rectangle bigger but you'll get the hang of it. I hope Apple can make this easier to do!
