I have purchased a licensed Dreamweaver CS5.5 Middle Eastern version along with the CD. Now, I have lost the CD but I still have my license serial number for the activation. I searched in your website but I only found the standard version (Not Middle Eastern version).
how can I download it?
(Some times the Middle Eastern version is referred to ME.)
in case there is no way to downlod it, will I be able to activate the standard vesion with my ME key?

How do I hide sub menus in Dreamweaver CS5.5?

Hi - I'm at the very beginning of sorting out my first web site in Dreamweaver CS5.5. I'm using a vertical menu with sub menus. The submenus are permanently visible. I was earlier able to make them only appear when you roll over them with a mouse...but the sub menus then stuck way out into the next column.
What I'd like is to have submenus that are hidden until you roll over them with a mouse. I'd like the submenus to be indented slightly from the main menu (like they are now, except that they're not hidden right now).
I seem to have changed a preference in Dreamweaver, because now when I delete the vertical menu and start all over again, I end up with the same formatting in my new menu. I can no longer end up with a hidden submenu items at all when I insert a vertical menu. I can create a horizontal menu with hidden submenu items, however, so I don't think I've changed the preference related to horizontal menus.

How can I resurrect a non-responsive Dreamweaver CS5.5 application?

     3.2GHz Intel Core i3
     8GB 1333Mhz SDRAM - 4x2GB
     1TB Serial ATA Drive

OS X updated to Mavericks in Sept 2014
Problem: my Dreamweaver CS5.5 has ceased to function
Steps taken:
1. Did a reset NVRAM / PRAM
2. Shut down; restart — no difference
3. Disk Utility: Repaired Disk Permissions, Verified Disk Permissions, Verified Disk
4. Restart — no difference
I am not on the Creative Cloud.
I have a back up of the application on my external drive.
I have my serial numbers.

The problem was the Adobe Dreamweaver Preferences file. As soon as I tossed it, Dreamweaver opened. I did get the following message which I will investigate further:
Unable to find file CHOMBACKEND.htm in the Configuration/Floaters directory. The floater will not be shown.

If you want a PHP/MySQL-driven gallery, buy David Powers' book, 'PHP Solutions' and follow the tutorials. It is an excellent walkthrough on PHP and MySQL, and the best part is, it shows how to build an online photo gallery.
As I was told a long time ago, it's best to learn to hand code. As the other post said, there are many ways to do this, many of the slickest ones are run with jQuery. Still, if you want a dynamic gallery, you need to learn PHP and MySQL.David's book is such a valuable resource and he is an excellent teacher. I was able to follow the book and build my own gallery. I can not recommend this book enough

Now we have CS5 and we don't know where we can find the tools to do this. I cannot find the layer ID.

We had an old version of Dreamweaver (DW-MX) in which I have found the layer. It apears to be an image made in Photoshop.
The way I solved the problem now is that I deleted the layer in DW-MX and made a new background image. I am no pro, just an amateur

How to upload a custom button on Dreamweaver cs5?

     I would like to add a custom "View Cart" button onto my website. I went onto a random website where I was able to create a custom image for my view cart button. The button I got was called button.php. I checked the document properties and collected some information on it. The type of file is: Adobe Fireworks PNG File (.png). It is said to open with: Adobe Fireworks CS5. I made a copy of this document and put it in Dreamweaver by opening a blank page and pasting the image in there. I saved the page and published it.
Then, I went onto paypal and put the link to this published page where it was asked for. I received a code that I pasted into dreamweaver in the section I wanted the "View Cart" button to appear. When I save and publish this page, the button never appears. Paypal's name is what appears and when you click on it, it goes to the cart.
So the problem appears to be with how I have uploaded and saved this image/button on Dreamweaver. Can anyone please tell me the proper way to upload it so that it appears on my website?

I have found myself in another problem. Initially, I inserted the paypal "View Cart" button and code in my header. However, since there is a logo present there, and the code was lengthy, the PayPal button appeared right below my header and right above my navigation menu. I deleted it because of the awkward location it ended up being placed in. However, for some reason, it did not completely go away. If you visit www.Ziyah.com, you can see the "button" (which really did not even appear to begin with) in its place it says "Paypal the safer easier way to pay online!"
I have made several attempts and checked the code so many times. However, I do not see that original code I pasted from PayPal anywhere inside of my Dreamweaver code, so I do not know how to delete that "button" or tag line and get rid of it. I do not know where it is hiding, but it has to be somewhere in my code. I fear having to delete and re-do the navigation menu just to get rid of that.
Is there any way I can get rid of it? Again, here is the Paypal View Cart Code that I originally pasted into Dreamwaver. Please take a look and see if you can see parts of this code somewhere in my page code, because I cannot find it and hence, have no way to get rid of it.

How to remove automatic file associations in Dreamweaver CS5?

When installing Dreamweaver, I chose to associate a broad array of file extensions with the program. I would like selectively remove some of these automatic file associations (e.g. .php). I have found this question posted several times, but never answered. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I should have been more specific that my ultimate goal was to have .php files not automatically associated with any program (so that I could modify the file extensions of some .php files). I don't believe this could be achieved by changing the automatic association via the operating system (because you must select another program to automatically associate with a given file type). However, my particular problem is resolved because I discovered that I could just deselect "hide extensions for known file types" in the "view" tab of "folder and search options". This way I could change the .php extensions even though they were still automatically associated with dreamweaver. Although this may be an obvious solution to many, I thought I would share it here in case anyone else finds themself stuck in the same way.

Do a Google search on "jQuery Slideshows" Behold! A wonderland of slideshow plug-ins!
Cool this is about jQuery slide-shows is that they all work basically the same way, so once you go through the learning curve of implementing one you'll be able to use any of them. This way you don't have to be locked in to a particular look. You can use what will look best for each site.

Subversion and Dreamweaver CS5

my team and i are very confused with understanding how this architecture and integration works. from reading various websites it seems we need to setup subversion and create a repository. my immediate question is where do we install and create the repository? on all our local machines or on the DEV server that hosts our website running on Apache 2.2?
Also... today we all work in Dreamweaver CS5. each one of us created a site in Dreamweaver on all our local machines pointing to a mapped network directory we each setup on all our machines... and the mapped network drive (lets say Z:\) is our DEV machine with all our coldfusion files that we edit through DreamWeaver remotely.
i'm trying to understand the architecture we need to setup and if we need to make changes to the way we currently have our sites defined. there is a good link on Adobe TV showing how to compare and check in/out files with subversion and what the icons mean here http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/working-with-subversion-and-dreamweaver/
thats great but i see the presenter is working off a local C:\ drive. where does our mapped network Z:\ drive as mentioned above come into play?
