How do I import mails from Outlook into Mail on my McBook Pro ?

Hi there,
I'm running Outlook:mac 2011 on my MacBook Pro and I would like to import all of my mails (with all the folders) from Outlook:mac 2011 into Mail. I can't find the appropriate format neither in the export formats in Outlook nor in the import formats in Mail. I would like to use only Mail in the future but I can't afford losing all my actual mails.
Thanks for you help

For a quick look, or are you trying to migrate?

  • How do I import an .eml file into Mail

I have a .eml file, which was orginally an email message in Mail, which I saved onto my desktop, "saved as" a raw message source out of Mail a while ago. Now I want to import it back into my Mail program but it won't accept it. Does anyone know how I can get the file back into Mail?
    null

If it's saved as Raw Source, it's not a .eml file anymore. Unless Apple changed them again in 10.5.x, Mail saves messages as .emlx files.
So, you can download this tool, emlx to mbox Converter to convert individual messages or whole groups to mbox files and import those into Mail (you need to choose Other when the dialog window asks "Import data from").
If the Mail file format really did change in 10.5.x to .eml, here's a similar tool to convert multiple eml files to mbox format: eml2mbox. This is a Ruby script, not an application.

  • How can I import pictures from aperture into iPhoto

Since moving to mountain lion OSX, I can't find a way for importing pictures from aperture into iphoto. There used to ba a tab under archive in iPhoto where you could view the aperture library and select pictures to import them into iPhoto. This tab has diappeared. Could anyone tell me how it's done now?

I noticed indeed that you can change the library under "archive" in iPhoto but when I choose aperture library I can't find the same structure of albums as in aperture.
Sorry I don't understand this. What is "archive"?

  • Importing emails from Entourage into MAIL with Leopard

Went through the importing procedure but only 20% of emails imported into MAIL and then all emails were deleted from Entourage. Any similar problems or ideas on how to retrieve emails in Entourage?

I had this problem with 5 years of saved mailboxes. I figured out a way to get around it. After importing to macmail from entourage to set up macmail, I opened the import folder in macmail and deleted all the mailboxes as some had mail but most did not (I did not want to sift through >25K mails to make sure I did not miss one). Keep both macmail and entourage programs open. Create a temporary subfolder in the inbox on the exchange server using entourage. Move all the mailboxes containing mail to this subfolder in the inbox through entourage. Once everything is moved to the inbox, switch to macmail. Highlight all the mailboxes containing mail that are in the temporary folder in the inbox on the exchange server. Drag them to the import folder in macmail.
I can now discard Entourage and its clunkiness.

  • How do i import emails from outlook 2013 on windows 8.1?

I'm using the tools: import but i get the following error after i select the type of file that i would like to import (i select outlook):
Microsoft Office Outlook. Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.
I checked my windows settings. it says that outlook is the default mail client and outlook is running when i do this.
    What is wrong?

    Hi Willimo,
The main issue is to install the graphic driver software ,right ?
There are two ways to get the driver, automatically update from the windows update or manually download the driver from the manufacturer website and install it from the device manager.
Please refer to the following link :
    Download and install drivers

  • How to export my contacts from outlook to mail ?

I have bought an Imac and I have to migrate from my PC to the mac....everything is done excepting my outlook contacts that I have to export to my mail Mac.
Could you please help me ?

In Outlook Contacts, select the contact you want to send as a vCard or select all to send all, and then on the Actions menu, click Forward as vCard.
All contacts will be added to a new message created as separate vCard file attachments. Send the message to an email account you are accessing with the Mail application on your Mac.
Create a folder on the Mac desktop or in your location of choice and save all vCard attachments received via email to this folder.
Launch Address Book and at the menu bar, go to File > Import and select vCards navigating to the folder that contains the vCard files sent from Outlook.
The contacts in your local Address Book will be synced with the .Mac online address book.

  • How can I import/translate thunderbird filters into mail rules

    Hi
I'm a new Lion user and I'd like to import all my thunderbird filters
into mail rules. I've tons of filters and I'd like to avoide to duplicate
    all of them inside mail.
    Can you help me?
    Bye
    David

The export function from iCloud creates one single .vcf file with all the addresses in it. If you click on it on the desktop, it starts displaying each and every address as a separate vCard. However, "Tools/Import...Address Books...vCard file" doesn't do anything.

  • HT4489 how do i import Vcards from outlook to Icloud contacts

How can I import 400+ vcards form outlook and microsoft livemail to contacts on Ipad or Iphone or the Icloud

If they are in a compatible vCard format, you can import them as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfba7399f.  If they aren't, you may have to try importing them to Google contacts, then export them from Google as a vCard that is compatible with iCloud.

  • How do I import addresses from Word into Address Book?

I have all my addresses formatted as a label document in Word (so I can print on Avery labels). How can I import this information into Address Book?

You will need to convert the file so it appears something like this:
    LastName<tab>FirstName<tab>Address<tab>City<tab>State<tab>Zip
    Aalberg<tab>The<tab>3451 Avon Way<tab>Burbank<tab>CA<tab>91564
    Jones<tab>Sam<tab>11112 First Ave. NW<tab>Atlanta<tab>GA<tab>30022
The above is the general format required. The typical way of doing address labels in Word is to create a mailmerge database that would be formatted like the above. Then you create a mailmerge document in which the fieldnames on the top line of the database are inserted in the desired format. You then create the output file by doing a mailmerge. Apparently you are doing it the brute-force way.
I hope this makes it clearer for you.

  • How do I import images from Aperture into Lightroom 5?

I've just installed Lightroom 5 onto my Mac.  I waited for it to ask me which image management software I wanted to use as default (I currently use Aperture); then I went looking to find the 'source' to enable me to import images.  It doesn't recognise Aperture or the 3000+ images held in its folders.
How can I import the images?

Have you tried some of the online articles?

  • How do i import photos from dropbox into iphoto?

I have several photos in Dropbox that I am trying to import into iPhoto and use in a iPhoto book.  Is there a way to do this and bring in batch photos at one time?

To get them into iPhoto you must Import them from a physical location on your drive. If they are "in the cloud" them you need to download them to your computer such as the Desktop. Or they may be in a folder in the Dropbox folder in your Home folder or in your Pictures folder.
