How do I import multiple images (from Aperture) to multiple pages in Pages?

I can select and drag multiple images from Aperture to Pages, but they all are inserted on the same page. If I have 100 images, can I force Pages to insert one image on each of 100 pages?
Thanks,
Rick

Burn for what purpose? To share with others?
Export the photos to a folder on the Desktop. Burn that with the Finder. Result: a folder of images that any computer can read.
Using iPhoto's Burn command creates an iPhoto Library on the disk and is suitable only for others also using the same version of iPhoto.
This User Tip
https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4921
has details of the options in the Export dialogue.
Note that rewriteable disks do not necessarily mean that you can append files to them, and require special burning software to do so.

  • How can I import selected images from a folder instead of the whole folder in iPhoto 9.5.2?

    Hi there,
    I was trying to help my parents import some photos from a folder they have created with photos from their holiday. They only want to import select images from this folder into iPhoto. I said it would be easy and they can do it in 2 ways. First, they can drag and drop selected photos from their folder into iPhoto - and this works for them. However, more convieniently, they can click file>import to Library and then select the photos they want by going into the folder... Well that's how it works on my iPhoto '11 at least. When they showed me their screen via Skype (they are running iPhoto 9.5.2), when they click import to library, and try to go into the folder containing their photos, it imports the whole thing and there appears to be no way that they can enter the folder to select just a few photos from what I could see.
    Does anyone know anything aout this problem?
    Cheers.

    What view are using in the Import dialogue. Column view might be easiest to navigate.

  • How do I import RAW images from Sony NEX 5-R to iPhoto?

    I have Mountain Lion 10.8.2 and iPhoto 9.4.2 and have installed Digital Camera RAW compatability update 4.01 but still can't import RAW images from my new Sony NEX 5-R digital camera.. any ideas? I also have Photoshop CS6 - should I import through that if iPhoto isn't a feasible option..?

    This is the list of currently supported cameras
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5371?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
    The Nex5-R is not on the List and so that Raw format is not supported at this time.
    Note: The Raw from every model of camera is different. Note: that's every model not every brand. So, the NEF produced by a Nikon D40 is not the same as the NEF produced by a D60, the CR2 produced by a Canon 350 is not the same as the CR2 produced by a Canon 400.
    Therefore the Raw for every camera model needs to be added individually. If yours is not supported then let them know you want it:

    You know you can access your Aperture Library in the New Message Window in Mail on 10.5?
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
    You can then drag multiple pics over to the Window.

  • How do I import iPhoto images from time machine

    Hi everyone!
    Before buying a new iMac I backed up my old iMac on time machine.  I used migration assistant but iPhoto doesn't seem to have come across.  My question is how do I import photos from my time machine (which is synced with my old iMac and not this new one) into this new iMac?
    I've attempted to open the library on the time machine with the alt key on opening iPhoto but it tells me that I can't do that!
    Many thanks in advance!
    Aleks

    you do not import form Time Machine - you use TM to "ReStore" files
    if you still have you old computer availab ethe best solution is to copy the iPhoto library over
    Migration assistance does not handle the iPhoto library well sometimes - the best way is to drag the bad iphoto library from the pictures folder on the new system to the desktop, connect the two systems together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old system to the pictures folder of the new system and launch iPhoto on the new system - it will open and convert the iPhoto library as necessary and you will be fine - once you test the iPhoto library you can delete the one on the desktop

  • How do you import iPhone video from Aperture into FCPX?

    I need to import some iPhone 4 video files from Aperture into FCPX. For some reason there seems to be no way to do this. Please do not suggest I import the videos directly from my iPhone. #1 the videos are already off my phone and #2 I have no desire to import all my iPhone videos separately into FCPX when I am already importing them into Aperture along with my photos.

    You have to drag them from their location, (finder or iPhoto etc) into one of the events in the event list of FCP X.

  • Importing RAW images from Aperture into iMovie

    Have just gone through the sequence again - using file - open and then locating the aperture library via applications.  The message I get is that adobe does not recognise this type of file.  I am sure I must be missing something, but cannot figure out what it is - any ideas.

  • How can I get an image from Aperture to PS?

    When I execute the command Open in External Editor (set up in the Preferences as Photoshop CS) Photoshop opens, but the Aperture image is not there.
    (This started happened after I had to re-install Aperture.)
    Any advice on how to fix this?
    Thanks, Susan

    If you do Cmd+Shift+3 you'll get a full screen image saved to your desktop as a jpg file.
    Also, you can use Cmd+Shift+4 and you'll get a cursor which you click+drag to draw a box. When you release the drag the boxed in area will be saved to the Desktop as a jpg file.

  • Display multiple Images from a DB on a JSP Page!

    Hi all, please give me your solution, thanks. I have many images, stored in Oracle database (BLOB), How to display all of them (images) on a JSP page? I have a working solution that only shows one image based on the specific image-name passed. But if no image found in the Database with that image-name then I want to show all the images at once on a JSP page. Can someone help please. Follwing are the code snippets:
    Here is the JSP page that calls the servlet to show the images:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=windows-1252"%>
    <html>
      <head>
        <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
        <title>untitled</title>
      </head>
      <body valign=center>
          <table>
            <tr>
                <td>
                    <img src="/test-testimgs-context-root/servlet/test1.images.servlet.GetImage">
                </td>
            </tr>
          </table>
      </body>
    </html>
    Here is the code that resides in the service method of GetImage servlet:
    public void service(HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws ServletException, IOException
        OutputStream stream = response.getOutputStream();
        Blob imgBlob = null;
        ResultSet rs = null;
        byte[] imbBytesAry = null;
        try
            ImageTest imgtest = new ImageTest();
            rs = imgtest.get("img1.tif");
            if(rs != null)
                while(rs.next())
                    imgBlob = rs.getBlob(1);
                    int len = new Integer( new Long( imgBlob.length()).toString() ).intValue();
                    imbBytesAry = imgBlob.getBytes(1,len);
                    if (imbBytesAry.length == 0 || imbBytesAry == null)
                        noImageFound(request, response);
                    else
                        stream.write(imbBytesAry);
            else
                noImageFound(request, response);
        catch (Exception e)
            noImageFound(request, response);
    Here is the code that resides in the get method of ImageTest class:
    public ResultSet get(String fileName) throws DatabaseConnectionException, SQLException, Exception
    Connection connection=null;
    ResultSet rs = null;
    ResultSet rs1 = null;
    Blob imgBlob = null;
    try
        connection = new ConnectionProvider().getCConnection() ;
        connection.setAutoCommit(false);
        Statement stmt = connection.createStatement();
        String sql = "SELECT IMG FROM IMAGE_TABLE WHERE IMAGE_NAME = ? ";
        PreparedStatement pstmt = connection.prepareStatement(sql);
        pstmt.setString(1,fileName);
        rs = pstmt.executeQuery();
        boolean flag = rs.next();
        if(flag)
            rs.beforeFirst();
        else
            sql = "SELECT IMG FROM IMAGE_TABLE";
            rs1 = stmt.executeQuery(sql);
            boolean flag_all = rs1.next();
            if(flag_all)
                rs1.beforeFirst();
            else
                rs1 = null;
        return rs;
    }As you see in the JSP page I am calling GetImage servlet, whose service method does all the processing i.e. calls ImageTest get method that queries the database and returns the result. Eventually what I would like is to pass the filename along with other parameters from JSP page and the servlet returns the images based on that. Currently I have just hard coded a value for testing puposes. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

  • How do I import images from Aperture into Lightroom 5?

    I've just installed Lightroom 5 onto my Mac.  I waited for it to ask me which image management software I wanted to use as default (I currently use Aperture); then I went looking to find the 'source' to enable me to import images.  It doesn't recognise Aperture or the 3000+ images held in its folders.
    How can I import the images?

    Have you tried some of the online articles?
    e.g. http://lightroomsolutions.com/articles/migrating-from-aperture-to-lightroom-where-do-i-beg in/

  • How do I remove images from aperture?

    Totally new to apple and aperture so I apologise if this seems like a somewhat noob question but how do I remove images from aperture (using the latest version, 3.4.1)? Coming from a PC and using lightroom I'm used to being able to remove images in two ways:
    - removing the image from the "library", so that it no longer shows up in the program at all but is still on your hard drive (when I say removing it from the program entirely, I mean entirely, i.e. not sitting in a trash can or some other place where it's still taking up memory)
    - deleting the original image off the hard drive
    Is it possible to do either of these things in aperture, on both just a single image or a selection of multiple images, and if so how? I've tried googling this already and am getting a bunch of mixed solutions, none of which have really worked so far, so any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

    The answer partially depends on whether you have a managed or referenced library. Since you're totally new to Aperture, I'm assuming you have a managed library since that's the default.
    FYI: Managed means Aperture handles image files and places them inside the library file. Referenced means you manage the image files and Aperture only points to (references) them.
    For a managed library, select an image you want to delete. Type command-delete. (That's the reverse delete key next to the "=" key). (You can also right-click an image and choose Delete Version) That will remove the images from their Project and place in the Aperture Trash. They're still taking up space in the Trash. If you really want them gone for good, right-click the Trash in the library pane and select Empty Trash. Poof.
    For a reference library, I forgot the exact details since I don't use this type of library, but you'll be asked (or can check a box) to delete the original file from the disk.

  • How can I manually attach images from my photo booth (imported into iPhoto) to emails? Auto function, in photo booth has my photos lying sideways?

    How can I manually attach images from my photo booth to iCloud emails?
    They are imported as 'events' into my iphoto library.
    Auto function, in photo booth has my photos lying sideways when placed in 'mail' emails?

    There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:   You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    (Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)
    You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    There's a similar option in Outlook and many, many other apps.  If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
    If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
    If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running:
    For users of 10.6 and later:  You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation  which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu.
    Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
    For Users of 10.4 and 10.5 Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    Drag and Drop: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    File -> Export: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    Show File:  a. On iPhoto 09 and earlier:  Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.    3.b.
    b: On iPhoto 11 and later: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

    1. Get it from the database.
    2. Display it.
    Part 1 has nothing to do with part 2.
    You must solve 1 before you solve 2.
    Finally generically there is no such thing an "image" but rather there is binary data which is represented in such a way that it one of many formats that represent an "image".
    Knowing which specific format the "image" is stored in will at a minimum be helpful and could be required.

  • How do I get images from Aperture into print shop for mac?

    Friends,
    I have Print Shop for Mac and Aperture. How do I get images from Aperture into Print Shop? I'musing managed images with previews. Is there any option besides exporting to the desktop and importing?
    Thanks!
    Steve

    if you have previews turned on in Aperture and they're all genereated, you can simply drag-n-drop them into any application (just about). drag-n-drop is essentially the same as copy/paste as long as the application is setup to accept "drops" onto its windows.
    otherwise, if you're running Leopard (10.5) as your version of Mac OS X, when you import (or whatever it is in PrintShop), you should get a file selection dialog. from here, scroll down the left-hand side bar set of icons. near the bottom is a group called "Media". click on the triangle to open the group, choose Photos, and from here you should see an Aperture icon. click this and you'll see your whole library (or at least the portion of it that you have previews generated for. select the photo you want and viola!
