How do I import pictures from my iphone 5 to my pc windows 7?

How do I import iphone5 pics to pcwindows7

Connect the iPhone using the provided USB cable. Making sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.
With that done, your iPhone should show up as a Camera. And either the Camera connection Wizard should pop up, or you can access the iPhone through Windows Explorer and copy the pictures off like you would with a camera.

Photos that were synced from a computer won't show for copying to a computer. If you want to copy them back then you will need a third-party app on your phone such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to a device, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer (e.g. their dimensions might be different and their colours may look a bit different).

  • How do you import pictures from an iPhone to a Mac?

I know you can import using iPhoto but I do not care for the applications one file approach. Meaning, importing via iPhoto just adds them to the overall library file, not individually where they can be easily moved around.
Typically, when I only had a PC, I just connected my iPhone and copied them straight from the device.
On the same note, is there a way to expand the iPhoto library to more than just one file? I would prefer no file at all, just a collection of individual pictures in my pictures folder. I know there is a way to keep your existing files in tact but it seems to double up on the HD space since iPhoto still wants it's own copy.
If I am not understanding the way iPhoto works or can be manipulated, please let me know. I am new to the application and Macs in general. I am coming from a PC mind set and still use them consistantly, moving files between computers on our home network.

Ah, I did not know about that application. Like I said, I am new to Macs. That's basically what I am looking for.
Am I correct that there is no way to have iPhoto maintain individual files when importing?

  • How can I import pictures from my computer to iTunes without losing my iPhone pictures?

    Hey
I'm wondering how I can import pictures from iTunes to my iPhone. I have taken pictures with a camera, not my iPhone camera. And I got the pictures on my computer, just don't know how to import them to my itunes and then to my iPhone. And I also don't want to lose all my iPhone pictures in my camera roll when I do this.
    Thanks

Camera Roll is the folder on your iPhone which kept all the photos taken from your iPhone Camera or Photos received and saved from your email attachments.  They will remain in that folder until you delete them.  You may, however, import these photos to your Computer if you want to.
    Refer to this article:
iOS: Importing personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Now the other way round, if you want your Photos from your Computer(whether it's taken from other Digital camera or photos already on your computer) to be transferred to iPhone, you have to sync them over like I mentioned in the first reply.

Put tick on sync photos with iPhoto (Default you can also choose Aperture if you buy this)
In the panel below you can choose to sync All libraries or Selected events- this opens an inspector panel displaying the folders as they appear in iPhoto (Aperture) with tick boxes to select differing collections/images
Now click the apply button in the bottom right corner and your choosen images sync with to your iPhone.

How do I move pictures from one iphone to another?

Photos in the Camera Roll are included with the iPhone's backup. You can transfer the backup from one iPhone to another which will include all data included with the backup.
Photos and videos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer. After importing from one iPhone, the photos can be transferred to another iPhone via the iTunes sync process.
Photos in the PhotoStream on one iPhone running iOS 6 can be made available on another iPhone running iOS 6 by creating a shared PhotoStream album, or if the same iCloud account is accessed on both iPhones, the PhotoStream album will be identical on each iPhone.

How do I move pictures from old iphone to new iphone

If you want to transfer your camera roll photos, along with text messages and other data and settings from your old phone to your new one, back up the old phone then restore the backup to your new one (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2109).  If you only want to transfer the photos, import them from your old phone to your computer as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083, then put them in a folder and sync them to your new phone by selecting the folder on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and syncing.  (Be aware that photos synced to your phone using iTunes can only be deleted later by syncing them off again.  They can't be deleted directly on the phone.)

  • How do I access pictures from my iPhone saved in iCloud so that I can delete some of them from iCloud selectively?.

How do I access pictures from my iPhone saved in iCloud in a computer so that I can see & delete some of them from iCloud to free up the free 5GB?.

What Mac model do you have? What system version and iPhoto version are you running?  Do you meet these requirements:
The following is for this Apple document: iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
What do I need to use Photo Stream?
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
PC with Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.1 or later
You can still use Photo Stream without Shared Photo Streams if your devices meet these requirements:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel v2.0 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later
If you do then sign in to the same iCloud account that's on your iPhone on your Mac via the System/iCloud Preference pane as shown in this screenshot:
Next setup iPhoto's Photo Stream preference pane as shown in this screenshot:
The photos on your iPhone must be in it's Photo Stream so make sure the iPhone has enabled Photo Stream as shown below:
Now you can select a photo in the Photo Stream section of iPhoto and control-click on it to delete it:
