How do I import projects from my iphone 4s to my Mac's Garageband 2011??
I've just recently got my iMac fixed. I haven't been able to use it for the past 2yrs, so I've been kinda left behind. My iMac's operating system is OsX Ver. 10.6.8. I'm having issues with seeing my Garageband Projects and even iMovie Projects from my iTunes App Manager window. I need help...
Have you updated to GarageBand 6.0.5? That is needed for compatibility with IOS GarageBand projects. http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1507
To be able to import video from your iPad you need at least upgrade to iMovie 9.0.4 http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1412

Thanks,Connect your iPhone to your Mac with the USB cable, then in Aperture do Cmd-i (Import) and you'll see your iPhone listed in the upper left corner. I'd suggest enabling the "Do not import duplicates" feature in Aperture so that you only get the new photos each time you do an import. It works great.

Before you transfer your purchases, make sure that your computer is authorized with the same Apple IDaccount you used to make the purchases. Learn how to authorize your computer using iTunes.
If you bought the iTunes Store content on your device using multiple Apple ID accounts, you'll need to authorize the computer for each one.
To transfer purchases from your device to a computer:
Connect your device to the computer. Wait for its icon to appear in iTunes.

Choose Transfer Purchases from [device name].

My old iMac was having HD issues when I became concerned about my iPhoto library, with several thousand pics. I backed up my old HD, then when I got my new iMac, I restored all the files, but not all the apps, since I think old apps were slowing things down. When I opened the new desktop, I found an iPhoto 1 library, that had popped up on my old Mac. I don't have any sign of my original iPhoto library, with the thousands of pics. However, I still have my pics on my phone, and I'm sure they must be on my backup drive. Any idea how I can import photos from my phone, or from a backup?

To move an iPhoto Library to a new machine:
Link the two Macs together: there are several ways to do this: Wireless Network,Firewire Target Disk Mode, Ethernet, or even just copy the Library to an external HD and then on to the new machine...
But however you do choose to link the two machines...
Simply copy the iPhoto Library from the Pictures Folder on the old Machine to the Pictures Folder on the new Machine.
Then launch iPhoto. That's it.
This moves photos, events, albums, books, keywords, slideshows and everything else.
Then import your photos like you always did. -

Or, tedious but works way, 'share' them off one device by e-mailing them to yourself, open that mail on your iPad, and then save them to your contacts from there
