How do I import tempo changes with midi file?

When I import a midi file in LE, I don't get any of the tempo changes. Tempo is set at 120 bpm every time. I get all program and other controller data, but not tempo. What am I doing wrong? Is there a button I need to check somewhere?
Thanks,
Ros

You have to use "open" for the SMF, as opposed to "import". Even dragging a SMF into the arrange window brings in everything except the tempo map. This has always kind of bugged me actually.

how can I import a change request into a system which is not part of the transport domain?

    Hi,
You can transport any requests to any systems even though they are not in the transport domain.
    1) Move the corresponding data & cofiles( in /usr/sap/trans/data & /usr/sap/trans/cofiles directories) to the same location in the target system.
2)Add the request to the queue from  STMS ->Import Queue ->Extras ->Other Requests - >Add.
3)The execute the transport as usual.

I bought Numbers because my Excel files would not work with Mavericks. How can I import a non-functioning Excel file into numbers? (As of now, the file NAME transfers but data does not.)

    HI Dave,
I'm surprised you get no message when you attempt opening the Excel document in Numbers.
I'm assuming Numbers 3.1, since you are running Mavericks.
Does the Numbers file that opens show any content?
    Does it contain a table?
    How large?
Does it contain more than one tab (indicating more than one sheet)?
Do those other tabs contain a table?
Have you checked those tables for data content?
There have been cases in the past of imported documents opening with white text on a white background, giving the appearance of containing nothing. Check for this by selecting a block of cells, then applying a Fill colour or a Text colour using the Format button (paintbrush).
I'd also suggest attempting to open the Excel files using LibreOffice, which can be downloaded from the linked website.

  • How can i import contacts from a csv file to "iCloud Contacts"?

How can I import contacts from a csv file to "iCloud Contacts"?

The only way I know of to import cells from a csv file is by creating a new file.  But then you can select the desired cells and copy them to the other file.  I just did it to be sure it works.
    1. Create the new spreadsheet file via the upload command.
    2. Select the cells (table) that you want to move to the other file and press command+C (copy).
    3. Close the new file and open the existing file.
    4. Select the top/right cell of the area to receive the copied "table" and press commant+V (paste).
I hope this is what you're trying to do!

  • How control tempo fader with midi keyboard

    hi,
i added a tempo fader in the environment window.  what are the steps to control it with a nob on my midi controller?
    thanks,
    dave

    Hi
There are several steps in this process:
    1) Since you want to control the Tempo Fader with in-coming MIDI messages, you need to connect the fader somewhere between the Physical Input and Sequencer Input  objects in the Clicks and Ports layer.
    2) By default, this fader is set to respond to incoming PitchBend messages (see above), so it should work straight away. If you wish to control this fader with some other MIDI message, you need to determine the exact message (MIDI CC usually) transmitted by your controller. The "Input View" object (or the main Transport should help here.
    3) Then you need to assign these values in the object inspector 'Input settings"
Most of this is described in the manual p1040 under "Using the Tempo Fader".

I imported a CD with custom settings for stereo bit rate, sample rate and channels. • Premiere CS5 import avi clips without sound. How can I import avi clips with sound without convert?

    Dear Adobe Forum,
I have the following problem, please help:
I would like to import avi clips in adobe premiere. All clips have the same avi codec. But unfortunately my adobe premiere does not import the sound of a few
avi clips. It is wired because about 10 out 70 avi clips which have all the same avi codec does not work with sound in premiere CS5. In the timline premiere import the video and audio line but there are no audio waves in the about 10 avi clips. additonally premiere plays the 10 avi clips in the source monitor without sound. Furthermore when I open the 10 avi files without adobe premiere they have sound, but with premiere there are no sound in the 10 avi clips.
What can I do, so that I can import all avi files with sound. I do not want to convert each of the avi files because then they have not a good quality and it is to complicated and it takes to much time to convert all files in this video project and in the other video project in my future.
Consequently How can I import all avi files so that they have immediately sound? Do I have to change some premiere settings?
    Thank you in advance
    Leonardo

Consequently, as you can see, they have both nearly the same information
Both video clips have the following audio codec:
    AAC
In the folder where all raw video clips exist there are a few new files with the codec ending: .AVD ("the name of the file".AVD)
But the 2 video clips mentioned above does not have any files like .AVD oder something else like that. But the first one works and the second one doesnt work.

  • How do I import AVI video with stereo audio (and keep it that way)?

Today I just discovered that all the AVI video with stereo audio I've ever imported into a Premiere Pro CS6 project has been mysteriously converted to mono. And I can't find any import setting anywhere that enable me to change this.
    Here's the deal...
I've have an AVI file with stereo audio (the file is actually a stereo sound test that I downloaded to prove that I wasn't imagining things). On my hard drive, I right-click and view the properties:
    Video
    Length: 00:00:36
    Frame width: 320
    Frame height: 240
    Frame rate: 25 frames/second
    Audio
    Bit rate: 128kbps
    Channels: 2 (stereo)
    Audio sample rate: 44 kHz
I click on it to play and listen with headphones--everything is playing in the correct part of the stereo spectrum. Then, I import it to Premiere, click the file name in the left content menu, and check the properties, suddenly they read:
    Type: AVI Movie
    File Size: 1.1 MB
    Image Size: 320 x 240
    Frame Rate: 25.00
Source Audio Format: 11025 Hz - 16 bit - Mono
Project Audio Format: 11025 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Mono
    Total Duration: 00:00:36:15
    Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
Sure enough, I drag it into the sequence, listen to it, and it's indeed playing mono. Outside of Premiere, the original source file still reads and plays correctly with stereo sound.
When I import stereo WAVs and MP3s, it keeps the original stereo channels without me having to do anything special. I even just imported the same exact file as a MOV with stereo audio, and it showed up in Premiere as:
Source Audio Format: 44100 Hz - 16 bit - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 44100 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
What is going on here with AVIs? Am I doing something wrong? Are there settings I'm missing somewhere?
(And before anyone suggests I only use MOV in the future... that's not exactly the answer I'm looking for.)

    Thank you for that info.
For video, the codec is MPEG-4 Video (XVID) and for audio it says MPEG Audio Layer 1/2/3 (mpga).
There are two issues with that file:
The first is the Xvid CODEC (not meant for editing), and then the MPEG Audio/MPGA. I would convert that file, to something that is more editable.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • How do I import packages beginning with org or com?

Any time I try to import packages beginning with org or com, I am told that the class was not found in import. Specifically, I am trying to use SVG Graphics, and here are the import lines that are not working:
    import org.w3c.dom.*;
    import org.apache.xerces.dom.*;
    import com.sun.awt.svg.*;
    import org.apache.batik.svggen.SVGGraphics2D;
    import org.apache.batik.dom.GenericDOMImplementation;
    import org.w3c.dom.Document;
    import org.w3c.dom.DOMImplementation;
What do I need to change, or what do I need to download in order to make this work?
    Thanx.
    -Tinclon

First you need to have the jar files containing these packages. When you have these packages, you have to set your classpath for these jar files.

  • How to Delete imported JPEGS after matching RAW files are imported as masters

Using a 5D Mark III and shoot JPEG (SD) and RAW (CF).
Aperture 3.5.1, using a managed library
Perviously, using a 7D so new to shooting JPEG and RAWs from an aperture Aperture workflow standpoint.
I know that i can import the JPEGs > delete images that do not make the cut > then import the matching RAW files in the import dialogue that correspond to the JPEGs in the Aperture Library.
I use the RAW files as my Camera Master images and once the RAW files are imported, the smaller resolution JPEGs are no longer needed or viewed in my normal edit workflow.  I only need the JPEGs to quickly go through the images to find out which RAW files i need to import at a later time to increase the speed of import > edit > deliver.
    My Assumptions:
    1.  Logic would lead me to believe that after import the user should see a stack like image representation with whatever file type is considered Master to be on top and the viewable secondary file type on the bottom.  clicking on the image stack should allow you to see both file types as you would normally see with image stacks with the same files types.  This is not the case...  What am i missing here?
    2.  Logic again would lead me to believe that when i have the ability to delete one of the 2 image types as i do not need both in the end.  After the import process is complete and RAWs are backed up, I want to delete the JPEG files as they are just taking up more space on my DAS drive array...  There is no need to keep a duplicate of every file in both JPEG and RAW format.  This is not the case as when i delete the JPEG or RAW, both files formats are deleted simultaneously.  What am i missing here?
    Problems: (correspond to Assumptions above)
    1.  I do not seem to have access to both images (JPEG & RAW) in a stack where i can expand and close the stack to see both?  It seems like i only have access to the image type i have selected as Master?  This seems counter intuitive to what the workflow should be as why would aperture 'lock the secondary file types away' so you can't easily view both file types as the same time for comparison?
2a.  Reality seems to be that i do not have access to the JPEG and RAW image files.  I can only see one at a time by selecting the images and choosing 'make JPEG master’ and then respectively... 'make RAW master', but you can't see both at the same time for file comparison.
2b.  Also, I can't find a way to delete the JPEG images after the RAW files have been imported.  I would presume most professional photographers shoot RAW and do not shoot JPEG as their camera master or editing master images.  I do not understand why aperture has captured both as a pair in the library that does not allow me to delete the JPEG (in this case) as i have selected the RAW as my master.
If someone can please help...  The function seems like either i am missing something obvious or that the implemented function of using RAW + JPEGs files for import is broken from a real world workflow standpoint.

    leonie...
thank you for clearing that up for me.
I think that at this point it is silly to use the JPEG+RAW import functionality as it seems that it takes longer to do the above steps than to just import only the RAW files and press on from there.
I seems what i have done in the past of only importing the RAW files and then using the quick preview functionality to reduce image load times is the best thing in can come up with without keeping 'duplicates' in the database.
That really baffels me that there is no built in functionality to remove the JPEG from a RAW+JPEG pair and i wonder how the real world photographers who help Apple test and implement software to solve real world workflow problems thought the JPEG+RAW import was going to be used.
I do understand that i can use a smaller JPEG file size to reduce the bloat of the database, but used over hundreds of thousands of images is certainly going to make a dent in my total aperture database size and therefore storage needs down the road.
If you have any other workflow thoughts, or know of a 3rd party plugin/ etc... to fix this obvious shortcoming then i am all ears..
thank you again Leonie and have a great week

  • Exporting Lyrics with Midi FIle(s)

    Hello forum,
I was asked to post here also, just in case.
In Logic Express, is it possible to import/type lyrics and sync them to a specific "Midi Melody Track" then, export the midi file (type 1) with the lyrics embedded?
If not sure, can any of you fellow musicians test this for me? After saving the midi file, you can load in "QMidi" from http://www.mixagesoftware.com/
All help and feedback is greatly appreciated,
    Thank you

    Hello musicspirit
    Yes, you can.
Sonar an all Cakewalk products have this feature and it works very nice.
Select the melody track, open the score editor which will show just the melody track notes only, copy or paste the lyrics in the lyrics window and hyphenate for words and syllables. Done!
Sibelius has it also, but I heard it's not the greatest and then Cubase, but I wanted to go with Logic if at all possible.
    Thank for the reply

  • Cannot import  and work with the files from Canon 6D and Panasonic GH4

Thanks for your answer, but it is not really helpful. Perhaps my question was not exactly enough-sorry but my english is not in the best condition. I dont need trials I have some applications and my Intel MAC Pro 2009 is strong enough. For instance Phase One can read my RAW-pictures from my Canon 6D, but no RAW-file from the GH4. Finalcut Pro Vers 7.0.3 no chance to open Movies made with the GH4 and the AVCHD-codec, though the AVCHD-codecs from my old Canon Videocamera works perfect. Even movies with Mpg 4 H 264 are not recognized.  Perhaps I need a special Converter App, for all my Converter Apps like Mpeg streamclip or Flip for MAC cannot read and convert the these files into RS 422.

Will the DNG files perform the same, meaning will I retain all the information that makes RAW important for processing?
Yes. That's why DNGs were invented. Adobe has put a lot of work into the DNG format for this very reason.
Raw files are proprietary and manufacturer specific. Raw formats change with every make and model of camera. Software must be updated for the new Raw format of every single camera. Adobe does an admirable job of upgrading Camera Raw for every new camera.
DNG is also a Raw format but it's open source and works in any software which can read the DNG format. If camera manufacturers used the DNG format instead of their own Raw format, you would not have to upgrade Elements 10. But they don't, and probably never will, so you must upgrade the Camera Raw plugin (and therefore Elements 10 since it's not compatible with the new Camera Raw) to read the new Raw format from the 6D or add another step to your workflow with conversion to DNG first.
