Yes,i got it in early July this year
(The speaker outputs on the G4 Mac minis are different from the Intel ones.) The "headphone" port on the Intel-based Mac mini is both an analog as well as a digital optical port.

There's no reason you couldn't go from your Mac directly to the 5.1 receiver.
The reason I go Mac-->Tv--> reciever is because sometimes i may be doing a file late at night when others are sleeping and i can leave the reciever off and listen through the tv speakers

I assume you mean the reciever One Optical for a dvd and a whole mess of RCA type line level,TV has R-L Audio and Video in and R-L Audio out
Does it have a digital optical audio input? If so, you could leave the TV plugged in to the receiver with RCA cables and plug the Mac mini into the system with a digital optical audio cable.

ALSO............what i am driving at here is it almost sounds like the signal coming from the mini needs to be amplified a bit so sound adequate,I know in certain circumstances signals need to be antenuated or amplified

Sorry if that sounded not very helpful, but basically it comes down to that. Not much can improve the performance of machine of that vintage, to stand up to a current model, unless you spend almost as much on upgrades (some of which to consider are listed below).
Some thought should be given to the budget (money and time and effort) one is willing to spend. The G4 Digital Audio is possibly a good candidate for upgrading for someone who is interested in do-it-yourself computer stuff and bargain hunting for parts. It can even be a fun hobby. But even max-ing out all possible upgrades will still be lacking in performance compared to the current Mac models, I don't actually have any specific benchmarks, just my gut feel. And you may spend a good portion of the cost of a new machine on all those parts for the old machine.

Even while I am trying to build a case to convince someone not to waste their money on this project, I am thinking to myself, where can I pick up one of these G4 towers to take on this project myself. My iMovie the video is not synched to the audio. It could be about two seconds off. And sometimes the sound just stops. I tested it on Quick Time Player and burnt it to a dvd and it does the same thing. The sound then stops halfway through besides my ilife sound effects. How do I synch the audio and video to play together in iMovie and dvd? I taped the movie from my digital camera and it hasn't done this on imovie before. Any Help?

How can I improve the stability of itunes64bit 8.0.2 on my Vista system?

Vista Home Premium: iTunes64bit: application crashes after adding album photos and then changing views (list, Album, split) or clicking on different playlists and back to the entire music library.
The library has 42,000 items (mostly music) so it is quite large. At launch it takes a long time for itunes to load and display. There is no user cues telling me it is running. It simply displays after 60 or more seconds.
Then I start working in the library, pasting pictures to multiple items, modifying album titles.
After doing a few management tasks on my music items and navigating back and forth between the music library and playlist (changing views), the application stop being responsive and according to the log, the app just plainly crashes.
Sometimes I can restart successfully but most of the times, I need to stop the itunes service or log-out before I can restart it successfully.
I am using itunes64bit 8.0.2
I am running it on a machine equipped with 4GB of ram and the library lives on a 500GB external hard drive plugged-in through USB 2.0.
How can I improve the stability of itunes64bit on my system?

I am hoping my post to the Apple feedback may prompt a useful response from Apple and I live in hope that my post here will elicit a useful response from another user. I did not miss the the text at the top of the feedback form but you presumably missed my initial text, 'someone here can explain' or my subsequent 'work around from another user'
Just in case anyone reading this has a large collection of music videos, video podcasts or iTunes U then DO NOT upgrade your iPad to iOS 5. If you are considering purchasing the iPad as a useful mobile device to experience these media organised in your iTunes please don't as you will be wasting your money. First find out why your report is performing slowly. Then fix it.
That sounds silly, but there's really no single-path process for improving report performance. You might find issues with the report. With the network. With the universe. With the database. With the database design. With the query definition. With report variables. With the ETL. Once you figure out where the problem is, then you start fixing it. Fixing one problem may very well reveal another. I spent two years working on a project where we touched every single aspect of reporting (from data collection through ETL and all the way to report delivery) at some point or another.
I feel like your question is a bit broad (meaning too generic) to address as you have phrased it. Even some of the suggestions already given...
Array fetch size - this determines the number of rows fetched at a single pass. You really don't need to modify this unless your network is giving issues. I have seen folks suggest setting this to one (which results in a lot of network requests) or 500 (which results in fewer requests but they're much MUCH larger). Does either improve performance? They might, or they might make it worse. Without understanding how your network traffic is managed it's hard to say.

And I could go on and on. The bottom line is that performance tuning doesn't typically fall into a "cookie cutter" approach. It would be better to have a specific question.

There was an eror installing the Audio Content CD 1 and I did not notice. Everything else installed properly, Audio Content CD 2, Jam Pack, but how can I add the Audio Content CD1 after Logic has finished installing?

You could re-run the installer, or, once you have updated to Logic 9.1.8 you could use the "Download Additional Content" function in the Logic Pro menu. It will tell you what is installed and what is incomplete.

There are 2 to 3 complex views in our database, and there always be more than 5000+ users will be workinf on the application and is OLTP application. Those complex views are killing the application performance.
I what i felt was, if i create the Global Temporary tables for thow views and will be able to load the one third million of records returned by the views in to cache and can improve the application performance.
I have created the Global Temporary tables for 2 views with the option On Commit Preserve , But after am inserting the records into the Temp table and when i Issue the commit statement, the Temp table is getting Cleared.
I really got surpised of this behaviour as i know that with the Option On Commit Preserve , the rows should retain in the Temp Table, Instead , it's getting cleared.
Pelase suggest , what to do ??

I have these2 files of the same movie, 1 is amazing quality but theres no audio. the other is crummy quality but has perfect audio. How can I cut the audio from the good audio version and paste it onto the good video file?

Open the movie and press "Command J". This will bring up the properties window. Click on the Audio Track or Video Track and the "Extract/Delete" buttons will light up. Click "Delete" and it'll delete the currently selected track, click "Extract" and it will extract the selected track into a new movie. Just use Delete on the correct track and you're halfway there.
Then, select the movie that is just an Audio Track now, do "Command A" then "Command C" to copy the audio track. Go to the movie that's just a video track, move the insertion point to the beginning of the video then do "Option Command V" to add the Audio Track to the Video Track side by side.

You can separate the audio track from video and save it to a DVD disc within Premiere Elements but not a CD disc.
To do save to the audio to DVD disc, you do not have to separate linked audio video, just use the export Publish+Share/Computer/Audio and set Presets to the wanted format (AAC, AIFF, MP3, or Windows Waveform (WAV).
You will not see Audio in the choices since it is at the bottom of the list of choices under Publish+Share/Computer/. You will need to use the thin scroll bar to the right of the choices to scroll to it.
If you need information on selective export of Timeline content when dealing with more than just this one file on the Timeline, please let us know. If you are trying to produce a CD for listening in car or CD player elsewhere, please let us know.

Have imported video into audition but how do I get the audio to snap after editing?

Just to explain, I have imported a timeline from Premiere into Audition CC. I have one full piece of video and one piece of audio but need to clean up the audio. What I'm trying to do is edit the audio and have it snap to the piece of audio to the left as you would do normally. I will then concern myself with cutaways etc to mask the video when back in premiere. My question is how do I get the audio and video to snap in sync with my audio edits( Can't seem to get it to snap at all at the moment)

The video in Audition is just a guide and can't be edited. So if you cut out chunks of the audio it will no longer be in sync with the video if you try and join the audio together.
When you say that you are cleaning up the audio what do you need to do to it in order to clean it? If it is just a case of muted unwanted parts of the audio that can be done in Multitrack by using the Volume envelopes to mute the audio at appropriate places without cutting anything out so it won't lose sync.
