Wow, looks a bit too tech for me. I tried the template method but it does not really suit my needs.
My old iMac on OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) - which is now gathering dust, always had the small photo image at top right hand corner of e-mails. Not sure how it got there, must have been in the set up by my son. I recently up- graded to MacBook Pro and iPad, so the iMac now hardly used, but I recently "lost" all my contacts on the iMac AB and now the image no longer appears on e-mails.
So, I thought all I would have to do is include the image on my own AB card on the MacBook Pro, but alas no success. I really don't think I want to go through with all the detail supplied. I thought it would be another chacteristically simple Apple "Drag & Drop" exercise.

Double-click on the still image in the project timeline to open the Inspector. In the Inspector, adjust the duration by typing in a new duration to match the length of your music. I think the limit for a still image is 10 minutes. If you need more than this, simply drag the image into the timeline again then adjust its duration. The two images will play seamlessly (no gap will be visible).

You can achieve more precision when entering durations by changing a preference in the menu item iMovie Preferences. Check (tick) the preference for Show Time As HH:MM:SS:frames. This will enable you to enter the duration of stills down to the frame level, rather than full seconds (NTSC is 30 frames per second; PAL is 25 fps). When entering times, type a colon between each time segment, such as 2:50:15, which represents 2 minutes 50 seconds and 15 frames. For 5 seconds 20 frames you would enter 5:20 and so forth.
Note that the music will only run to the length of the video in the timeline (in your case, the still images). So, after increasing the stills duration you will need to drag the end of the music track as far as required. The stills can be dragged inwards to reduce the duration if necessary.

- Try a reset. Nothing is lost:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Can you find the apps using the Spotlight search on the iPod? Maybe you just can't find them
- If you can find them you can reset the screen layout by go to Settings>Genera.Reset>?Reset Screen Layout.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Check the Quartz2D documents on Apple's site. Do a search in your examples folder in the developer folder and on Apple's site for Masks. I haven't used them under this API but that's probably the best place to start.

Small images received by recipients from Mail

When I email an attached image which has been set as "actual size" some receipents get small images rather then the full size image. The email is being sent in Rich Text and the receipents that are having this problem are on Outlook.
When I send the identical images in HTML from Earthink web mail they do arrive on those same computers full size.
What is the problem and what is the solution? I am using the latest Mail 7.3 program on the latest OS 10.9.3 on a MacBook Pro mid 2012 Retina.

Are you using iPhoto as your email client or Mail? If you're using Mail there are two places where you need to make sure the size is what you want:
1 - here in iPhoto:
2 - and again here in Mail:
If you're using iPhoto as the email client as a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import some photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?
IMO using Mail as the email client is preferable because it gives you better access to your Contacts, gives you a Sent copy that's easy to find and, if you want a theme like iPhoto provides, has stationary with phtoo themes.

Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto thumbnails - this may take several tries

How do I include a dynamic image that changes?

I need to include a photo based on selecting a user from a
datagrid - using the user id I can get the image from a url where
the end path uses the userid + .jpg. All of this works for the
first image but when I click on another user I get the same image
as previously shown. I'm using:

When binding to a function, there needs to be an argument to
tell flex when to execute the binding.
Or, declare a [Bindable] string var, and in a change handler,
build and assign the source string to that var. Bind to the var.
The simplest is not to bind, but to build and assign the
source string in the change handler function.

Overhead on small images, Photos app crashes

I have a folder containing around 1600 portrait photos of the members of my Buddhist order around the world. The photos are fairly optimised, weighing in at around 80Kb each. I tried to add them to my iPhone, but:
i) for each photo, the sync routine creates a cache 'thumbnail' of 672Kb (which is the image that actually gets uploaded onto the phone) resulting in an extra 1Gb of upload, compared to the 110Mb the original photos were.
ii) I'm going to have to try dividing them up into a load of separate folders if I want to actually see them on the phone, because with them all in one folder, the Phots app crashes when I try to view the individual photos. I don't know what the actual practical limit is for the number of photos you can have in a single folder on the iPhone before the app can't handle it. I also don't know whether OS 3.1 handles this any better, as I haven't updated yet.

Multiple folks are reporting the Crash-on-Projects problem (namely, selecting the menu item "View -> Projects" crashes Photos immediately).
There is (at present) no sure-fire fix for this bug.
Workaround (1): Never "View -> Projects" ... instead "View -> Show Sidebar", and access the projects individually.
Workaround (2): Delete all projects, and rebuild the Project Library by hand from scratch. At least for me, New projects created into an empty Project Library do not cause crashing.
Workaround (3): Wait patiently for Apple to fix this crash-bug.

In the Picture control, how can I draw a small image at a specific offset within a larger image?

I could use the opposite of "Get Image Subset.vi", like a "Set Image Subset.vi".
The "Draw Flattened Pixmap" function would work if it would let me define the target position instead of the source position.

How do I get firefox to place photos from my e-mails into "iPhoto"??

I had safari before, now have firefox.....firefox will only let me put photos from e-mails into "downloads". I want them in iPhoto, but they will not go from firefox nor from downloads now....unless I switch back to safari and safari is extremely slow and sometimes does not work at all. ????????

How can I include a url (or Link) in my e-mail

In previous versions of thunderbird I could just go to "include" and then "Link" and in the drop down box just paste in the url I wanted to include into the field link address.
If I try doing that now I am told something about there being "no know anchor .... "
Now I have to type in the url again. Using the paste button does not work! WHY?
As a work around i just paste the url as text into the mail but then it does not show up as a link (underlined in blue), so that the receiver of the mail now has to copy and paste my link instead of just being able to click on it.

Yes it does, the conversion is part of the send process. if you look in your sent mail they will be links.

My screen show one full e-mail; not a list of all my e-mails. I was deleting old e-mails & clicked on the enlarge option at the top of screen and have not been able to get a list of my e-mails on the screen at the same time. Help please.

Sounds like you opened a message in a new window. Have you tried closing that window and see what happens?
If that is not it maybe you can post a screen shot of what you are seeing.
