How do I increase voice speaker call volume when ...

Hi
http://www.bootstrike.com/NSeriesN95/faq.html
I have got my brand new N85 8GB, I tried the suggestion (197) in the link above to increase voice speaker call volume when I am in a call, but it did not work, neither for the "Speaker" nor for "Handset".
Any suggestion ?
Thanks

You should increase volume during a phone call with volume keys, unless your keybord is locked during conversation. Try to talk with your phone slided up (open keyboard) and try to increase volume with your side volume controls.
Good luck

  • How do I increase voice volume on calls

Can anyone tell me how to increase the caller volume please?

If this is a new phone, make sure that you have removed the shipping plastic off the face of the phone.
To increase the volume, use the toggle switch on the side of the phone.

  • How can I increase the speaker volume on my iphone

I have a 3G iphone. After 3 trouble-free days the speaker volume dropped drastically. I can barely hear what is being said. The unit still works well on a handsfree basis. A colleaugue had the same problem but the fault corrected itself. I have of course tried the toggle switches at the side of the phone. Any ideas?

I went into the Apple store yesterday for the same issue. My speakerphone when being used in my car is barely audible. I can't even hear it if I hold it to my ear...but I'm in a convertible. When I'm in my SUV, it's not much better though. In fact, when placing a call, I can barely hearing it dialing. However, I tested all the Iphones on display in Apple and the speakerphones were very low too as was the dialing mode. They agreed that the speakerphone is low but it is the way it works. They suggested using an earpiece, which I hate. I am using a Motorokr T505 speaker box in my car for now. The speakerphone is okay if I"m in an absolutely quiet environment, which is just not the case when driving.

  • HOW DO I INCREASE THE SIZE OF FONTS WHEN WORKING IN MAIL?

When using Mac Mail the fonts all appear very small. How do I make everything larger so it is easier to work with but not huge when the receiver gets the email?

You can make some font adjustments in Mail's preferences - Fonts and Colors. You can make on-the-fly changes to display fonts in Mail by pressing COMMAND and + or COMMAND and - to increase or decrease size, respectively. You can also use the Style option of the Format menu to do the same thing.

    Hi philippalldino,
I understand that you do not wish to hear your volume feedback when adjusting the volume of your computer. Here is an article that will tell you how to disable this feature:

  • When looking at recent calls on my iPhone running iOS 7, how can I tell which number called me when a contact has multiple numbers listed?

I have an iPhone 5s and I am coming from an Android phone. On the Android phone, when looking at recent calls both the contact name and the number is displayed. On my iPhone I only see the contact name, in the case of contacts with multiple numbers attached how do I see which number the call came from?

Click the "i" in the circle to the right of the contact name.
The phone number the call came from is listed in blue.

  • How can I increase the event font size when printing a weekly listing from Lightning?

I find a printed weekly calendar very useful in my life. I used to use the Sunbird calendar program with the FG Print extension to increase the font size to something more appropriate for my aged eyes. Is there a way to do this with Lightning? I'm running Thunderbird 24.2.0 on Linux Mint 13, if that matters.
    Thanks in advance.

Are you using the print formatted page for printing? You can pop that up from the '''...''' menu that appears above the item. (Screen shot example attached.)
If that page still is too small:
    * Is Firefox using the full area of the page? If Firefox is only using part of it, this could be related to a problem reading the correct "paper size" from your printer driver. More tips on that if needed.
    * If Firefox is using the full page it might be shrinking the content to make space horizontally. In a window where you can access the menu bar, check File>Page Setup or orange Firefox button>Print>Page Setup to make sure the scaling is not set too small or, if necessary, turn off Shrink to Fit.

  • BUG: Call Volume - Z2 & S90

Lenov Z2 (not Pro) and Lenovo S90 are suffering from a Call Volume bug of the receiver. Several users have reported here (but also people I know personally) that the Call Volume for these units is too low compared to other phones, in particular for the Lenovo Z2 phones.
It is barely manageable to hear the other side in a quiet environment like in your home, but while outside of your home (e.g. street or a shop), you can not hear the caller properly. If they speak quietly, you can't even hear them properly at home. This problem seems more pronounced for the Lenovo Z2 than Lenovo S90.
I had this issue on two phones already (Lenovo Z2 and Lenovo S90) and other users reported this problem also for Lenovo Z2, here is a screen shot from this post:
Strangely, the Call Volume of the receiver on Skype is of sufficient quality for me. So that is quite strange that the call volume for the calls is too low. Thus, I hope this is only a software issue and you can set the volume higher for calls?
Finally, let me also restate that this issue  was posted to this forum a few times, so I hope that someone from Lenovo could finally address it. I list a few posts that describe this problem:
    Post 1: link
    Post 2: link
    Post 3: link
In my view a quarter of extra volume would be good. Most of the volume settings are at 50% (e.g. ring tone) but call volume always needs to be at 100% and even that is sometimes not enough. Could you add it up in an update? Or put an option to boost call volume by e.g. 25% in accessibly settings?
P.S. Also one thing that I noticed is that Security App is doing something during the calls that I don't know what that is and how to stop it, it is called Anti-tapping and I am not sure if that can interfere with the call quality or not. I would be quite interested to know what the Anti-tapping does?

Thanks, wangwei. Here is a new idea that could lead to a new cheap feature. Depending on your tests, you could either adjust the call volume as it is. Or you could put a new feature in settings to increase (adjust) the call volume. I.e. by clicking a new toggle switch the user could increase his call volume if he desires to or leave it as it is.
This could be a nice feature that several users could welcome - for example those who are using the phone in loud environments (e.g. factory managers, people working in a bar, commuters) or those who have who have a preference for louder call volume in general (which seems to be my case and a few others who wrote on this forum).
As of yet ,no other mainstream phone seems to have a feature to max call volume for users who want to max it, or leave it on stadarnd level for those who want it as it is. This new feature could go for example in "Audito Profiles", or in "Settings > Features" or in "Dialer > Options > More features and settings"
Finally, strangely, your new Lenovo P70-A has amazing call quality and different call-volume software than S90 and Z2. Thus you could also test S90-A & Z2 versus your own Lenovo P70-A, which I found to have excellent call quality overall comparable to Meizu MX4 in sound and clarity. Not sure why it has a different firmware for call volume.
P.S. Lenovo P70 is currently the best selling phone in Slovakia, selling better than Iphone or any other phone on the market during this month.  Congratulations to your teams who created this phone. The only downside of P70-A seems to be the  weak performance of the selfie camera despite the 5MP (can PM my selfie test results if interested).

  • Since update yesterday my speaker phone volume is real low

Since updated my Galaxy 5 on yesterday the speaker phone volume is real low..anyone else experiencing this or know whats going on? I haven't had this phone 3 weeks and now this....

We want to see you enjoying the update on your new phone, stina34. Are ringtones and other audio like music still playing at the same level as before the update? While on a call, have you tried to adjust the volume up and down? Is the call volume when not using speaker phone still at a louder level?

  • How can I increase the font size for safari?

Does anyone know how I can increase the overall font size when in Safari?  I recently purchased a 21.5" iMac and while the screen is brilliant, the font size is very small when I'm using Safari.  Also, the web page is about a 1/3rd of the size of the screen.  Would anyone know how to make it such that a web page is across the full screen?  Otherwise, what's the point of such a big screen?
    Thanks!!

To get full screen view, look down at right hand corner of page.
You will see hash marks at a 45 degree angle in the corner.
Set pointer on it, and grab out to full edge of screen.
This works for all Apps including images.
I do this as default, being I sit about 5-6 feet from the screen.
Then use Pinch- Out to expand the page within the Browser.
Pinch-Out works for all Images loaded on the screen as well.
*You may know this already, grab browser window at the top edge,
and move it near the left edge of screen first.
I'll throw in a handy viewing tip of items saved on the desk top,
or within the Finder so that you don't actually have to launch the item.
Simply highlite it, then hit Space Bar.
This is part of Quick View,,, The Eye Ball Icon in header of viewing Finder does the same thing.
This works for all video files as well for a Quick View, w/o running huge ram loads.
Hit Space again to turn it off , Quick View.
You can leave it on if browsing stack of files, then arrow down or up for those views.
    Cheers

  • HT4528 how do i increase volume for incoming calls and incoming text?. i have it to max

i have incoming and text messaging to the maximum volume. How can i increase it?

If while you are in Messages and set the volume, that is all you can get. You can try and see if Volume Limit is checked by going to Settings>Music and see if Volume Limit is off.
The only other thing I can recommend, is to create your own ringtone/text tone in a music editor and increase the volume in the file. You may also want to check your speaker area and see that it is clean and not blocked by any debris.

  • How can I increase the volume of my text alerts without increasing call volume??

The alerts that are pre-programed on my phone for text alerts are very quiet.  When I turn the volume up so that I can hear them then my call volume is embarrassingly loud.  I have tried to get new tones in the store but they all seem to download to my ringtone - not text tones.  I have even purchased (from the Verizon store) tones that are for texts, but again, they download into my call ringtones.  Any suggestions would be great since I am a big texter and am getting very frustrated because of missing so many.

        @Halon,
I know how you feel! Text messaging is my main means of communication so I use it all the time. I definitely don't want you missing any important text messages because you can't hear the alert.
Keep in mind that the volume level will increase or decrease the same for both calls and text alerts. You may notice that the ring tones options for the text messages are not as loud as the ones for calls. Unfortunately, there is no way to increase the volume for the text alerts without increasing the volume for the call alerts as well.
One thing you can try is turning in the Vibrate mode so the phone vibrates also when you receive a text messages. Visit http://vz.to/1aflRJ0 for steps.
Keep me posted if you need further assistance.

  • How do i increase call volume

I just got my IPhone 4S and cannot locate where to turn up the call volume, not the ringer volume, but actually increasing the loudness of the caller?

    Hi Folks,
have had my iPhone 4 for the last week.  I'm quite tired of people telling me to turn up the volume...it IS all the way up both using the buttons on the side and the slider...the picture tells me it is at max...I'm not deaf (yet) and the phone is CONSIDERABLY quieter than my Palm Pre.  There is no plastic film over the earpiece.  I have had six people in the last week say "yeah, that's the only drawback of an iPhone...but you'll get used to it."  I'm not sure I'll get used to it.  With so many skilled programmers out there, you would think with so many questions all over the web, we'd have an answer by now.  I will pay the first person to send me a link to an app that actually increases the volume (amplifys the current in-call volume) to the volume of at least the Pre (not that great a phone or difficult a task...lots of music boosters out there, must be a way to boost the volume of the call), not using a head set, not using bluetooth, not using speakerphone: $50.00USD.  No joke, this is really aggravating me!!!  APPLE, PLEASE SOLVE THIS!!!
