How can I insert text on an image via IPhoto?

I am still learning about my IMac and primary use for it was mainly for my photo images. At the moment attempting to build a new website via IWeb and as part of the site will be numerous images. However, when making up the albums, I wanted to have text on my images but alas on the face of it I cannot see how this is possible as part of the existing IPhoto software - could any member advise how it can be done?
My alternative at the moment is to use Adobe Photoshop on my Windows based Laptop, insert text on the image, save and then upload to my IMac into my Album - mmmm a bit long winded to say the least! Regardless, thanks in advance.

You can learn to do this with the Preview app already on your Mac.
Open Preview. Make sure that the Annotate button appears in the Toolbar. If the button is not already there, select Customize Toolbar from Preview's View menu. Drag the Annotate button (the pencil) to your your preferred location on the Toolbar.
Open a photo in Preview, press the Annotate button and use the Annotate tools to add your text. You will find instructions on annotating files and documents in Preview Help in the Help menu.

If you use the image as a background image on the masthead via your stylesheet, you can then place whatever you want over the top of it.

HT2488 How to I insert text into a this command in automator wine "Text goes here" this is a perl script

I have spent hours trying to figure this out, automator is the hardest thing to figure out. All I want to do is emulate me doing this
-Open terminal
-type wine
-drag and drop the location of an .exe file
-hit enter
Now this should be easy as all I have to do is do run shell script, insert argument and done, BUT IT DOESNT RECOGNIZE WINE!?!?! Pleas help me.
Let me clarify.
If I make an automator application that that runs the command "wine" and then inserts text into the space after that Then i will be set. But no matter what I do nothing works. If i set the shell to perl and pass input as argument....It doesnt work the $f and $@ stuff doesnt work.
Wine is likely not recognized because is is pearl based so I set it to pearl, but how do i pass and argument over to it?

The "..." will protect the white space, but still allow $variable subsitutions.
The $@ will substitute all the files you drag as a group to your Automator app.
The notation "$@" does the substitution with each file properly quoted to protect the white space in the file path, but provide each file as its own quoted argument to the 'wine' command line.
If you need to invoke 'wine' once for each file of a group of files you drag on to your automator app, then use
for f in "$@"

/opt/local/bin/wine "$f"
done
This will loop through each file of a group of files you drag onto your automator app, and invoke 'wine' once for each file in the group.

You have probably started with a Layout mode template instead of a Word Processing template. See the sidebar in the Template Chooser for which is which.
Alternatively you may have pasted an object (possibly from the Internet), not text into a Word Processing template. Click inside the object and copy the text, then delete the object and try pasting again.

Eg: If there is a Active PDF document, which contains a text "Hello" in it. I want to insert "World" (i.e, the document should have "Hello World") when i click 'Insert' button.

How do you send texts to more than 10 people with iMessage? Since upgrading to iOS5 I cant send to my 100 people as a group. The screen freezes. I have an iPhone 4.

I upgraded my wife iPhone 4 to iOS5. She was able to text to about a100 people at the same time. Now she can't. Of course, I was more eager to upgrade her phone than she was since she is skeptical of technology. I can't seem to undue to upgrade. How do I fix our current problem.

How do I insert additional pages inside a footnoted document with accompanying text boxes and still keep pages below syncronized?

Is there a way to insert additional pages into a lengthy document containing continuous footnotes at the bottom of each page and accompanying text boxes on most pages without losing the syncronization of text and text box information on the pages below?

Footnotes do not work for text in textboxes, and you can keep on adding text after existing text so I am not sure what you are asking for.

How can I insert text to the right of the right hand indent?

I need to format data in a text box so that the data is separated into three columns defined by tab locations. The data located at the second tab (column) has varying lengths so that at times it needs to wrap. I need to have the data wrap before it gets to the next tab (third column). What I am trying to accomplish can be done in Microsoft Word by setting the tab to the right of the right hand indent. I can also get the look I am trying to achieve by using a table but because the data I am using is coming from a database the interface will not allow me to use the table function. Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

The way the data is served to the InDesign document. The data can only be flowed into a text box. It cannot be flowed into a table. If I can find a way to solve my issue then the data can be placed on the page using a style instead of flowing the data onto the page and then having to cut and paste it into a table.

I hav a requirement to assign an OTR text to a UI element in ABAP screen. How can we do that...?
I tried the syntax $OTR:<pkgname>/<aliasname> in the properties tab of the UI element,
But on executinf the screen am gewtting the syntax itself as tooltip....

I am not sure whether we can assign it at the screen properties level. But you can do one thing, call the FM SOTR_READ_TEXT_WITH_KEY by passing the context of the SOTR you want to read and get the text associated back in the ENTRY structure.
You can have a I/O field which is output only on the screen. And in the program you can assign the OTR text to this I/O field so that the OTR text will be displayed.
