How do I install 10.6.5 on new SSD.
I am using a mid '09 MBP 2.53 , 8gb RAM running Snow Leopard 10.6.5 . I am looking to upgrade my 250 gb HDD to a 500gb hybrid. My only concern is how to back up my installed files to the new HDD w/o a Snow Leopard installation disc like the one my father bought to upgrade his iMac to 10.6.4.Any hints no matter how subtle would be greatly appreciated. And before I forget if there is already a thread on this subject I apologize for wasting the moderators time here. John McPherson

Once it's available to the computer, use a program such as Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper to clone the existing OS.

No, you dont have to uninstall Creative cloud from the other machine. You can use your Adobe ID to download and install the software on the other machine. Please ensure that you don't use both machine at the same time.

Plug this new drive as an external drive, boot from lion recovery "command-R" more info here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/recovery/
Open disk utility, format and partition the disk at your will (allways Mac OS plus...) and go ahead with the install, don't care if it tells you to whait thousands of hours, I did get installed in 2 hours and a half last week.
If you can't plug the disk as an external one, you'll have first to do an USB disk recovery utility, as easy as download the recovery utility and install it in an USB disk, you can find anything from the link above, plug the disk as a single master, and boot from the USB you created before.

Just bought new PC running Windows 8.1. I have Install discs for Photoshop 4 and an upgrade to Photoshop 7. Unfortunately the Photoshop 4 Install disc won't run as it's incompatible with 64 bit. How do I install Photoshop 7 on my new PC? Is there a place I can download the Install files from?
Pagemaker is ancient, obsolete and unsupported. It was discontinued over 10 years ago. (Though why it is still sold is a mystery.)
If you want to run PageMaker, your best bet is to use a Win2K or WinXP PC.
Otherwise move to Indesign or look at Serif's PagePlus or Scribus. -
