How do I install Acrobat 7?

Trying to install Adobe Acrobat 7.0 pro stops and needs  AcroPDF.DEU and then AcroPDF.FRA. it will not go pass this point. What do I do to get this installed?

All functions in Acrobat 7 were working fine since Jan 2012. Then it started telling me to activate it every 3rd or 4th used in Jan 2013. However, I thank you all and will buy the latest version...I did get 7 years out of it, that's longer than windows versions stay around!
Happy Computing to all.

The same way you would have on an older computer. You run the install program from the CD or the download you saved. You will need the S/N to complete the install. If you are no longer going to use the old computer, be sure to deactivate Acrobat on that machine.

You don't install from your old PC.  You install from whatever resource was used to install it on your old PC.

  • New laptop does not have cd capability, how do I install acrobat 7.0

My new laptop does not have cd capability for me to insert install disc, how do I install acrobat 7 with just a serial number ?

The "activation server" at Adobe, which let you install and use it, was turned off years ago. You cannot use your CD in any case. (Though in fact external plug-in CDs are cheap, easy to use, and pretty much essential).
There is a special download of Acrobat 7 for licensed users (with new serial)... but it won't work on current systems. Unless you have Windows Vista, 32-bit, or older you probably need to buy Acrobat again. (No upgrades any more, sad to say).

How do I install Adobe Acrobat X without using my CD/DVD drive on my computer? I need the software but have a dead drive.

Well, those things cost 20 bucks at your nearest electronics store... Other than that you can simply download the trial and activate it with the serial or copy the installers to a USB stick on anotehr machine and run them.

I need to get my work orders from an internet site. At any time of the day, orders can be put on the internet site. It is very boring and timeconsuming if I need to push by hand the refresh bottum on the computer.
For my desk computer I use the reload add from Firefox. I can install the time after how many seconds/minutes the site has to be reloaded (refreshed).
My question is, is this add also possible on a mobile working on Android? So that it goes automatically.
    Thanks so far.

I just purchased a untrabook. It does not have a dvd drive. How do i load/install acrobat (valid copy) w/out a dvd drive.
    Please, any suggestions??

copy your dvd installation files to a usb drive or external harddrive and install using it.
or you might be able to download the installation files depending on your acrobat version.

  • How do I install Acrobat 7 on 64 bit computer so it installs as 32 bit?

I understand now that Acrobat 7's printer driver will only install on a 32 bit computer.  I have a new Windows 7 64 bit computer, but many programs will install in 32 bit mode and I did install the 32 bit version of Windows initially.  However, the print module will not install, which I read is because the architecture of the computer is 64 bit.  How can I selectively install Acrobat in 32 bit mode so I can use the pdf printer driver?

You can not. And this has nothing to do with 32bit vs. 64bit. The driver model is simply completely different on Windows 7. You need to upgrade to Acrobat X or use and alternative like GhostScript.

  • How to succesfully install Acrobat Pro?

I used to use Acrobat Pro from Adobe CS 4 Design Premium on my Win7 computer. While time passed I purchased CS 5,5 Production Premium (which was full of new versions of software, but Acrobat Pro). Now, after reinstalling system on my computer I decided to reinstall Adobe software as well. Obviously I need only Acrobat Pro from CS4 pack, and whole CS 5,5 pack. Now real challenge comes: how to make it working?
Some explanation: I did as my common sense asked: I installed ONLY Acrobat Pro from CS4 and later CS 5,5. After that Acrobat is asking for another component of CS4 to confirm, and not having it (obviously) it shut down!!!!
Can someone help in this issue? Please I don't want to have two versions of each Adobe program installed (loosing space on my hd) just to have one tiny piece of software.....

Unfortunately this solution sounds a bit "absurd" - but perhaps is only solution. To install Acrobat Pro (say 200MB) I need to install at least 4GB of software!!! This is most "unusual". And against my felling of common sense

  • How to Re-installing Acrobat Pro v7?

I am in the process of having to format and reinstall WIN XP on my desktop.  I'd like to load Acrobat v7 on anouther machine just in case I'm not able to recover from formating the drive and also so I'll have the program to use while I restoring the old computer.  I have 3 CDs.  Adobe Acrobat v4.0, Adobe Acrobat v6.0 Pro UPDATE and Adobe Acrobat 7.0v Pro UPDATE. How do I install?

    My re-installation problem is solved!
The information from the following link provided the solution.
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html
The title of the page, "CC desktop lists applications as 'Up to Date' when not installed", is a good description of my problem.  In my case, Adobe Acrobat XI Pro was listed as "Up to Date", even after I had uninstalled it.  So, CC desktop would not give me the option to re-install it.
This Adobe Help page gives 4 solutions.  I went through all 4, but my problem was not resolved until I performed Solution #4 -  which is to delete all traces of Adobe Creative Cloud using the "Adobe_Creative_Cloud_Cleaner_Tool" (see link below).  You can probably go straight to #4, but I didn't try that.
After I applied the CC Cleaner Tool, I re-installed CC Desktop App, and I was then able to re-install Acrobat Pro, along with other CC apps.
    I hope that this helps.
Here is the link to the CC Cleaner Tool (this link is also on the above-mentioned Help page):

I bought a Surface 2 tablet running windows 8.  I transferred my files (including Acrobat 9) from my old laptop to dropbox.  How do I get Acrobat from dropbox to my tablet?

You have to use the installer and serial number from the original purchase. You cannot transfer software by copying files.

  • How do I install Acrobat DC on a Mac?

I have ben trying for sometime now to install Acrobat DC on my MacBook but it keeps failing because it tells me there are some apps running that I need to quit, yet these are apps I have never heard of or for that matter able to find on my machine as running. Why can't the installed just quit them for me? Now I cannot install DC because it will not get past this problem, sigh!

  • How do I install Acrobat from the CS2 downloads

Jeff,  thanks a lot. Now it is very clear.
I'd like to install Acrobat Pro 8,  however, I think Acrobat Pro 7 is included in the download of CS2 Premium? During the installation of CS2, may I manually select the programs that I want to install (of course that would mean not selecting Acrobat Pro 7) and afterwards install Acrobat Pro 8 separately?

Jeff,  I followed the steps given at http://helpx.adobe.com/en/x-productkb/policy-pricing/creative-suite-2-activation-end-life. html . I uninstalled my Acrobat 7 first (and also CS2 which I’ve now successfully installed !..however, that is not the case with Acrobat Pro). I downloaded Acrobat Pro 8 and installed it separately. After a new start, the Acrobat Pro 8 program opened and immediately got hung up before I could even open a file. There were no other apps open at the time.  Repeatedly I tried to launch it, but it hangs up indefinitely each time. So I decided to uninstall it and start the whole installation process over again. About halfway into the deinstallation, it again hung and I was forced to end the process with Windows-Task-Manager. Now I'm in limbo: I can't launch the program, the Program folder shows that Acrobat Pro 8 is still physically on my PC in C:\Programme\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0 , and when I try to uninstall it again, I get a Windows Installer message popping up: “This action is only permitted for products that are at the moment installed”. My question is: should I try again to download and install it so that it writes over any of the existing Acrobat files in the Progamme binder?? Can you please help me?

  • How to custom install Acrobat XI via Adobe App Manager (I don't want Office integration)

    Hi
I am a Creative Cloud paid member with access to the Adobe App Manger. When I download and install Acrobat XI (also happened with older versions) it just installs the full version of the software, so it messes with my Microsoft Office program sepcifically with Word, installing macros or whatever. So every time I run Word, I get errors.
I need to install Acrobat XI as a stand alone program, so I can choose CUSTOM installation. But, since I am doing it via the Adobe App Manager, I have no control over this.
    Please help, thanks

    Hi alexanderschek,
After installing Acrobat via Adobe App Manager, you can go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Programs and Features(windows 7, something similar should exist for other OSes too). You will see a list of all the applications installed on your computer. There you can select Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and click on the change button above. A windows Installer dialog for Adobe Acrobat will be shown. Select modify and click next. Now you will get a dialog similar to the CUSTOM installation dialog.  You can select/deselect features as per your requirement and that should solve your problem. As per your requirement you might want to deselect the feature: "Create Adobe PDF-> Acrobat PDFMakers->Microsoft Office". Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Sanmukh
