How do I install additional locale en_us?

I have recently installed Solaris 8 on a sparc server. I have since built relevant filesystems and installed a large application. Unfortunately, the application requires the EN_US locale to be installed. During the O/S installation I specified the UK locale EN_GB. Is it possible to install the additional locale without having to reinstall the O/S. If at all possible I do not want to re-install. Is it possible to install the required locale with pkgadd?

I really don`t care for Norwegian messages, but it seems that X will not let me choose norwegian keyboard layout if I don`t install the Norwegian locale. And I guess I need no_NO.

How do I install additional content for Illustrator

I'm having a similar issue. I successfully installed the CS 6 Suite from the .exe and .7z file pair, but there are two additional files, Illustrator_16_Content_LS16.exe and InDesignFamily_8_Content_ALL.exe, that were part of the download package from adobe.com. Aftre the CS6 install, I moved on to these two files. They extracted their contents to the Deskop into Illustrator and InDesign folders, respectively, and then nothing further happened. There is no Setup.exe in either folder, so I'm wondering if I'm supposed to move the contents of each to the appropriate program folder in Program Files. Any ideas on I should proceed? Were the 2 .exe files silently picked up by the CS 6 Suite install and the extracted folder contents are already installed appropriately?

How/Where to install additional iTunes Visualizer plug-ins?

Hi. I recently switched from my old mac running OS 10.4 to another mac running 10.6. with iTunes 9.0.1.
I had installed a couple additional iTunes visualizer with my old mac. I've tried installing the same plug-ins on the new mac by placing them in the Harddrive/Library/iTunes/iTunes plug-ins folder............however ..........after doing so and opening up iTunes.......they don't shaw up as an option in the Top Menu- View-Visualizer-Visualizer Plug-ins list.
Wondering why not and how to make this work? Thanks for any help.

After thinking it over............my old mac was a powerPc compared to the new Intel and I was probably using versions of those Plug-ins that were quite old..........so went to the plug-in website and downloaded a newer version which is showing up.

How do I install additional memory on my x100e laptop

Hello everyone,
I am a new user to this forum and searched the topics but could not find the answer.
I recently purchased a 100e with 1GB memory. I have purchased 4GB of memory to upgrade the laptop. I have googled how to install the memory, but, have not found the answer (but, did find this forum!).
I have turned the laptop off, removed the battery, removed the screws and back cover. But, when I try to insert the new memory into the slot, it is very tight and does not seem to fit. I do not want to force it. FYI, I have purchased the G.Skill PC2-6400 SO-DIMM which I was told is the right memory for this laptop.
Can someone please help or point me to a video on how to install the memory?

UK locale: how to activate/install it

Hi,
we are located in Germany, our colleagues in the UK complain about US locale settings in their TFS web access to our TFS, they would like to have UK locale settings. They only find the US locale option.
When I try to reproduce that: It's true: I can not find a UK locale setting in the user's web access profile settings.
There are a lot of options (German, English (US), Espanol, Francais, Italiano and much more), but no UK locale optiom .
Is it possible to install additional local settings in TFS web access?
If yes: How?

As far as I know TFS Server not support the UK local in Web Access. We suggest you select English(United States) as Language and select (UTC) London as Time zone in your colleagues’ Web Access profile.

How can I install english Flash Player?

Hello,
Today I got a message that Firefox blocked my plugins for Shockwave & Flash. I downloaded & installed Shockwave without any troubles, but when I tried to install Flash Player something was wrong with it: the installer tried to install russian version of Flash Player.
OK, I tried to select option "Want Flash Player for another PC?" - but it had no option to chose the language - it indicated that my system is Windows 8, Firefox, English; though all the software I'm using is English localized.
So I went to adobe.com & at the bottom of the page changed the region to United States, then I tried to download Flash Player once again. I was so happy when I saw that my system was identified as Windows 8, Firefox, English :-)
But when the file downloaded & I ran it and - guess what? Yes, exactly - it started to install Flash Player in Russian!
Frankly speaking I don't like Russian-localized software at all (because the translation is terribly awful), thus all the applications installed in my PC is English-localized. All but the Flash Player :-(
So I have a question: how can I install English-localized Flash Player and prevent myself from seeing again this terrible Russian-localized one?
PS. All my regional settings in Windows are set to English (United States), so I have no idea why the Russian player is installed...

I don't know why your post remained unnoticed & unanswered for such a long time.
The installed Flash Player is the same for all languages, but the installer may display in a localized language; no idea why you get Russian?
Try the offline installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player.exe (for Firefox).

When trying to install/open the contents file (PRE7_Cont_WWEFGJ) you get this message - The setup has detected that premiere elements is currently in use. Please close Premiere Elements, then launch setup again despite the fact that Premiere Elements is not in use.

1. Right-click the Microsoft® Windows XP® taskbar and select Task
Manager.
2. Under the Applications tab of the Task Manager, please ensure Adobe

Give Adobe Support a call or contact the TCS team at [email protected] - something in your environment is causing the installer to fail (I'd guess).

I just installed NDS 2.0.11 and I'm having a heck of a time figuring out how to actually test my code.
Went thru tutorial for creating Calculator J2EE sample. When I get to step that describes how to deploy the EAR I get error below. I've gone into Windows|Preferences|SAP J2EE Enginee section thinking I could configure/start engine from there but I can't figure out what to do.
I've searched these forums and the NDS help files with no luck.
I didn't get any prompts during install asking me whether or not I wanted to install a local J2EE engine.
Has anyone run into this and do they know the answer. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the link. It did help a little. I found some of the errors on that page and it helped me get past them.
The last issue I had run into was issue 1-13. So I created a new user on my laptop and gave it admin rights.
The install got a little further but now it's stuck again. Here are the messages from the install log:

You can find the instructions on how to install an application server for BW at SAP MArketplace.

I assume you would need a license for each computer which will be using LabVIEW to develop code. Their may be a network license, but I am not familiar with one. I would contact NI just to be sure (612.683.0100). It's better that you tell them than they figure it out!

I believe there is a technique which uses some similar suggestion to unwittingly tempt the user into installing malware, in order to be able to watch some (usually sexually explicit) video, so be aware of this ruse.
The only things I would download would be Perian that extends Quicktime, available here,
http://www.perian.org/
and if that did not do it, then try VLC to use instead of Quicktime.
