AnswerINSTALL Backup Now EZ software:
1. Connect the Toshiba hard drive with the Backup Now EZ software to an available USB port on your computer.
2. A window automatically appears asking if you wish to install the software. Click Install Backup Software to install the Backup Now EZ software. If you do not see this screen, click Run from the Start button on the Taskbar and in the dialog box type "D:\setup.exe".
NOTE: “D” is the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive that contains the Backup Now EZ software. The drive letter may be different depending on your system configuration.
3. Click OK to execute the Setup program.
4. Select the language for the software and click OK to continue.
5. Read the END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT FOR SOFTWARE and select the radio button to accept the terms of the license agreement. Click Next to continue with the installation of the Backup Now EZ software.
6. Choose the computer system for the external hard drive. Click Next to continue.
7. Click Next or the Browse button to choose a different installation directory.
8. Backup Now EZ is installed in the target directory. Backup Now EZ program group with the appropriate shortcuts are added to the Start menu.
9. You will be asked to restart your computer. The Setup Complete dialog allows you to reboot now or later. It is recommended to select the Yes, I want to restart my computer Now option and click the Finish button to reboot your computer.
NOTE: You must have administrator rights to install Backup Now EZ on machines running Windows® 2000/XP/Windows Vista®.
To uninstall the Backup Now EZ software:
1. Open the Control Panel..
2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs.
3. From the Install/Uninstall tab, select Backup Now EZ from the list of programs installed on your computer.
4. Click Add/Remove...
5. Click Yes to confirm the removal operation.
6. Click Finish when the uninstall process is complete.

If you have to go all the way through restore as a new device and it does not work, then it could be a hardware issue. I've not seen any other posts about screen issues after updates, so one of these should fix it unless there is a problem with the screen.

We have an Australian client here in the Philippines and would want to purchase an adobe software under Creative Cloud Licensing.
Since this type of licensing is not yet available here in the Philippines, they are suggesting that they can purchase it in their country.
My main concern is, will there be any conflict upon installing/activating an adobe software under Creative Cloud which will be purchased from their country?

I have an iPad 2 with iOS 7 and a new HP Photosmart 7520 all in one printer. How do you install the Apple software on the CD if you don't have a computer to do so?
Is there some kind of wifi internet install of the CD's software or do I have to go find a computer to do this?
This is frustrating and I can't find info that says what to do.

You should not need to install the CD software.

I had to recover my windows 7 and created a set of 6 backup discs before. I have successfully recovered the system but cannot make any sense of the backup discs. I do no know how to re-install them. Anyone know?

Depends on what you used to make the Backup. There is Windows Backup in Control Panel or you could have used the very basic backup using HP Recovery Manager.
If you used the backup part of HP Recovery Manager that one is a very do-it-yourself type. You should have an .EXE file on the first disk-probably RecoveryMgr.exe . Click that .EXE file to start extracting the files to a folder on your hard drive. It will ask for each successive disk in the backup and extract the files. Once they are extracted to the folder on your laptop hard drive, it is your task to move them to appropriate location.Such as photos have to be moved to My Pictures, documents to my Documents, etc.

How to re-install OS and Thinkpad software after hardware upgrade?

I am getting ready to buy SSD for my X220.
My recovery partition is on my current hard drive, so instead of backing up and restoring the whole hard drive, (I am getting a smaller hard drive) I want to restore the system from recovery partition (clean install).
How can I do that? Does it work if I turn the internal hard drive into external by using enclosure? But I think it won't boot from that hard drive if I do that, so I am not sure how to recover my X220 OS.

1. COA sticker is for ms original image, not Lenovo preloaded. Lenovo image gets activation key from the BIOS SLIC.
2. Be sure you've created Factory_Recovery media, not Recovery one. The 1st type is bootable media and includes Lenovo preloaded image from Lenovo_Recovery partition - the system, drivers, applications. The 2nd media is very helpful too but intended for the recovery purpose - backup, restore, files and system recovery. It allows to reinstall entire system too but is a bit more complicated for this purpose.
3. Yes, install new SSD and perform factory recovery using new media. You'll don't need additional drivers for SSD. Just be sure boot mode is Legacy (not UEFI only) in the BIOS Setup menu.
After the system will be installed you can remove Lenovo_Recovery partition on the SSD as you have media and resize system partition. Also, in this case, reinstallation Lenovo Rescue and Recovery application is recommended in order to get access to the recovery environment using blue button or F11 key on the laptop boot stage.

If "plan A" is unsuccessful, you can download the driver from the printer manufacturers website. You can also share another computer's dvd drive.
And you may want to consider buying a MacBook Air external Superdrive from Apple for $79.00. Maybe its not necessary now, you may find some software that will make it handy. Or use the drive to rip DVD's and CD's.

Simply connect the new iPod to the same iTunes library, set it up how you like to, and sync away. I'm not sure how you would have a "backup" of the old one unless your older iPod was actually an iPod Touch.

I have had a iMac running OS X Tiger and had a HP CLJ 8500 (Color Laser Jet) that took a software disc and since Snow Leopard does not have AppleTalk anymore, is there any way I can run the software on my Macbook Pro? If not, then is there any possible way to use the iMac as a printer server via bonjour, IP, etc.?

Check nokia software market or other valid sites to buy or download these applications' series 80 versions.
Series 80 now has a plenty of software applications
and game emulators are kool too.
