*How do I install .bundle plugins?

I have some plugins that are .bundle . I tried putting them in library/audio/plugins/vst and nothing appears in logic.
Thanks!

Most likely there is one or more folders specifically for plug-ins, but I'm not familiar with Logic. Just look through the folder hierarchy especially in Applications Support. Surely there is a Logic folder there in which plug-ins go. Or you may find it in /Library/ or /Home/Library/.

  • How do I install adobe plugins?

    hello,
I have ai cs5.5. there is in my adobe illustrator folder the plug-ins folder. how do I install it so that I can use them?
    thanks for response
    regards
    acbraun

It is installed when you install the application it is installed in the Application folder and because of that when you launch AI they are availabel from the menu bar drop down and from the panels and tool bar.
Or are you referring to some extra plug ns on the disk that are not part of the regular install process/ If so just copy the to the plug in folder in the Illustrator application folder where your programs are install but first quite Illustrrator before doing so.

  • How do I install imovie plugins?

Do I just drag them into the imovie plugins folder?
And how do I access them? ie will they appear in the imovie Titles/Transitions/Video Effects tabs?

    Yes ..and Yes.
(..But some Plugins arrive as compressed files (possibly with the suffix .dmg or .tar or .gz or somesuch), which should automatically un-compress themselves, and it's the resultant uncompressed item which needs to go into the iMovie Plugins folder. Occasionally, the compressed files don't automatically uncompress themselves, so you may need to double-click on the file to start the un-compression routine. Additionally; some - well-written - plugins automatically do drop themselves into the iMovie Plugins folder by themselves ..others have to be manually dragged there. If you see something with an arrow which seems to be saying "drop me in the iMovie Plugins folder", then drop it there manually.)
HOWEVER, be aware that (a) some iMovie Plugins which were created for earlier versions of iMovie may not work correctly with iMovie HD 6; and (b) iMovie Plugins written for 'PowerPC' processors - previous to Macs moving to Intel processors - may force your Mac to run iMovie via the 'Rosetta' PowerPC emulator, instead of running it as a proper Intel application.
    These two considerations mean that..
    (a) some 3rd party plugins may not work properly (written for a previous iMovie version)
    (b) some 3rd party plugins may not work properly (written for PowerPC processors, instead of being the latest 'Universal' plugins which work with both PowerPC and Intel processors).
So as long as you were careful to download only plugins which say that they work with iMovie 6 (..or "iLife '06"..) and are 'Universal' and therefore work with Intel processors ..then everything should be OK.
Even if your plugins are not Universal, if they're for iMovie 6 they should work, but iMovie may run a bit slower, because instead of the Intel version starting up, the PowerPC version may start, and ought to run under the 'Rosetta' PowerPC emulator. (No message will appear to say that it's running under Rosetta: the process is "invisible".)
    Phew!
In all probability everything will be fine, but if it's not, either (a) or (b) above (..or both!..) may be the reason why not!

  • How do I install JFE plugin 1.4x or higher?

To provide an electronic signature, the plug-in is required for FireFox 2 or 3. I have FireFox 3.0.11. Could the plugin installation issue be sidestepped by going to Beta FireFox 4? Please advise. Thank you.

Firefox 3.6 and later needs the newer libnpjp2.so with 1.6 as it no longer uses the old libjavaplugin_oji.so

Right now I'm going to PSE 7 to print files edited in CS 5.  It's a pain in the neck.  I'm unfamiliar with installation of "plug ins" and Bridge does not have the flexibilty I want in printing.

    </OBJECT>
But it is downloading java plugin 1.3.1_03.
    Can anybody help me
    Thanks & Regards
    Raja

Using object tags is the correct way and only way to download the plugin and let the client decide whether he can download it r not. There is no way to install automatically
I dont think there is a way to install automatically without a user intervention coz, it can open the floodgates for potential hackers.
Can u cite an example about which programs can be installed automatically and why do u want the plugin to be installed automatically?
    ciao

  • Anyone gotten Flex 2 to install in Plugin mode?

I tried installing into my normal Eclipse 3.1.1 environment
and it didn't work. So I downloaded the base Eclipse 3.1.1 and
SVNPlugin only and then installed it into the base eclipse and it
    still didn't work.
Has anyone gotten it to work? I've only gotten it to work in
standalone installation where it installs it's own eclipse version.
However I hate having two eclipse desktops open, one for EJB
development and one for Flex 2 development, and then two eclipse

I am also having a problem. I d-loaded the 30 day trial and
tried to install as a plug-in. It got way into the install and gave
an error instructing me to look at the ".log" file for more
information. After clicking OK the install continued and ended
stating it was successfully installed as a plug-in. After opening
Eclipse I see nothing for Flex or Adobe which tells me it did not
install successfully. I already had Exadel Studio installed and the
log file (note that the log file only has an extension of log, but
no prefixed name ".log"). It had many, many errors saying that a
plug-in was already installed by Exadel. Below are the final few
lines of the log file. I will reinstall as the full IDE and not the
plug-in, but I really want it to be an eclipse plug-in. The eclipse
version I am running is 3.2.0.
    Thanks,
    Dale

  • How to install a plugin on 64 bits windows 2008 server?

From the developer forum, I found a description which told me how to install a plugin on windows series system, but I only succeded intalling the plugin on 32 bits windows xp, couldn't install the plugin on 64 bits windows 2008 server. Any ideas or advices, men of genius? Thanks :-)

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

  • How-To: Install Bundled Apps to another MacBook Pro using Target Disk Mode

Recently, I replaced the dead hard drive on my wife's computer. All the data was previously backed-up so all I needed to do was reinstall the original OS. Oops! Those disks disappeared over two years ago...perfect, right? No poblem, I already had the boxed install DVD for Snow Leopard and installed the core OS. But what about those bundled applications? Aha! That is the marketing coup Apple doesn't really talk much about. You see, you get the entire suite of Apple branded apps with the original install disks but not with a boxed OS install disk. It's just something that you have to find out for yourself...the hard way.
My requirement: restore all the iPhoto data to the reimaged machine running Snow Leopard. But that data has no application that can read it. Solution - Reinstall iPhoto from another source.
So I developed this workaround I hope the rest of you find amusingly simple, wildly helpful
Here's how I restored iPhoto on my wife's computer:
    1)  Get two Laptops side by side. In our case we both have macbook pro 2008 computers (Wife's and Mine)
    2)  Power both down and direct connect a firewire 400 cable (or 800 if you have it) between the two
    3)  Start the Wife's laptop in Target Disk Mode: Press "T" immediately after engagin the power button, hold it down until you see the "fanned" firewire symbol floating across a grey screen - it's quite large, about the size of your hand making a "stop" gesture
    4)  No start the Mine laptop by pressing the "option" key (two keys to the left of the space bar)
    5)  You will presented with a pair of hard disks to boot from, choose the Wife's laptop hard drive
5a) you'll notice now that the Mine laptop is booting the OS system files of the Wife's laptop (Her desktop, her preferences, etc...)
    6)  On the Mine laptop, insert the original Mac OS Install Disk (#1) that came with the Mine laptop (usually any OEM install disk will work, though)
    7)  Double-click on the DVD icon on the desktop when it mounts and look for a shortcut that reads, "Install Bundled Applications Only"...launch it
    8)  Now choose install bundled applications but make sure to press the "Customize" button in order to specifically choose which OEM software you want. In our case, just iPhoto
    9)  Follow the installer prompts all the through to completion and exit (you will be prompted to insert disk #2 along the way).
    10)  Remove the install disks, power down
    11)  Power down the Wife's laptop too
    12)  Disconnect the Firewire cables from both laptops
    13)  Power up the Wife's laptop normally
    14)  Launch the FInder and drill down to Applications. Look for iPhoto and launch it
    15)  iPhoto will either pickup the "iPhoto Library" that was previously restored after reimaging with Snow Leopard or you may be prompted to manually associate a library with iPhoto.
    16)  Once complete, you'll se all the restored pictures and data from when before the original hard drive crashed. Wife will be pleased and you'll look like a Genius
This is a really handy trick for troubleshooting a lot of install and restore related issues.
Hopefully you'll find other uses for it too.
    Good Luck,

I think the problem is that you can't install an older OS X version onto a system running a newer OS X version. So I would try the following:
         1. have an external disk or create another partition on an internal drive to use for the Mountain Lion install (you might have to shrink an existing partition to make room for another)
         2. Create an external bootable USB thumb drive with the Mountain Lion OS on it (do a search on the web for this - for example see http://www.macworld.com/article/1167857/how_to_make_a_bootable_mountain_lion_ins tall_drive.html
         3. Reboot Yosemite and then boot from the USB thumb drive by holding down the option key
         4. run the mountain lion installer and install on the new disk/partition you created in step 1 - it will also create another recovery partition from this same part of the disk
Now your Mac system will have both a Mountain Lion install as well as the Yosemite install. You won't be able to use Migration Assistant to move things from Yosemite to Mountain Lion because it will see that you're "going backwards" and won't allow you to.
Have a good backup of everything before starting in case there are problems.
    Good luck...

Might seem like a petty thing, but I like the convenience of having the bridge icon on the tool bar. Why this was removed is beyond me. Yes, I know it can be found in the File/Browse in Bridge but it's all about workflow.
