How do I install CS3 Prod Prem w/out CD?

Hello,
I have been trying to install CS3 Production Premium to my Sony Vaio notebook, it has 1.5 GB of Ram. The suite's product files were initially saved on my desktop, but never installed. Reason being 512 Ram...So I waited till I got my laptop w/ sufficient Ram. I have all the program files in a shared folder on my Desktop and am using my wireless notebook to see them. I tried to install all these files from disks 1-5 with no success. The installation process gets to 3/4 completion and stops and asks for disk 2...so i open the file I labeled disk 2 and try to install it...but i get a message saying "Please install Adobe After Effects CS3 Third Party Content using Setup.exe"
What does this mean?...also, what the heck is WinBootStrapper? Has it hijacked my setup files?

To do a desktop installation you need to move all of the payload files into a common folder with the setup.exe. You'll find directions in the knowledgebase, which must be followed exactly.
Why don't you have the original disks?

  • How can I install cs3 on new iMac with no disc drive?

I purchased cs3 and have all the original discs and serial number but can't use them so easily with the new macs... I have read the other discussions and tried the links to download the cs3 trial and then imput my serial number.
    http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
the links that are on this page give me http error: 404 message
Is it just me? Do these links no longer work? Does anyone have anyother ideads on how to get around this?
I'm not completely ignorant about computers- ignorant enough for this to be a very frustrating Saturday morning though... and the Adobe  chat is of no help which only make me want to punch an install disc even more.
    any help is appreciated
    Thanks!

I was signed in with download assistant, no just in at adobe.com... I've tried different perferences and settings but when I click on the links nothing seems to happen. I've been messing around with this for a few hours now and it dawned on me that it may have something to do with my internet. I live outside the city- totally nice for gardening, totally terriable for internet thus I have a verizon data plan and not unlimited internet, I think possibly verizon is shutting it down because of restrictions I have on my data. This type of thing also happened when I upgraded to Mavericks. The file itself was larger than my month's data so it seemed like it wouldn't initiate the download... I don't know for sure if it is the same problem here but if you're telling me that you are having more successful results than I am that might be the reason.
I'll take my computer to work or to my mom's house or somewhere where I can have unlimited access and see if I have any better success.
Thanks so much for all your help!

  • I just installed CS4 and don't know how to UN-install CS3. Who can help please?

Use the uninstaller on the CS3 DVD.

  • How do I install Cs3 from disk, after trashing the trial version?

I've made the mistake of trashing the trial version of Cs3 that I had on my imac a few years ago.
Now I'd like to install photoshop cs3 on my imac as my other computer is out dated and I get the error message that CS3 is conflicting with CS3 on the computer.
I realise it was a mistake to trash the trial. Is there anything I can do?

Download the cleaner tool from the following location and select "CS3" from the pop-up menu. http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs5clean.html
It will show you all CS3 products installed on your machine and will also allow you to remove them selectively. Select the trial build and click "Cleanup".
Or if you have no other CS3 or CS4 application installed on your machine you can just click "Clean All CS3/CS4" to clean your machine.
Then try to install Photoshop CS3.

  • How to re-install CS3 on new MacBook Pro? [was: ADOBE REFUSES TO HELP ME]

I've downloaded their software and I received an error stating I must contact Adobe.  So I do, and they REFUSE to assist because my licensed software is not the most current version.  How do I place a call to them?

John, thank you for your response.
It is Adobe CS3 and I was reinstalling it onto a new Macbook Pro.  I had a backup with Time Machine and I restored my files to the new laptop. Of course because of serial number conflict I needed to reinstall my software. The Macbook Pro no longer has a built in Super Drive so I downloaded the software off of the Adobe site. I uninstalled, and tried to reinstall but received a message stating there is a problem and to contact customer support.  I did, via their chat system, and was told that they would not help me because it was CS3.
After uninstalling and restarting several times I finally resolved whatever the error was.  I apologize for the long winded reply, but wanted this to be in a forum in the event someone like myself goes looking for self help answers.  Thank you again!

  • How do I install CS3 on a new computer using my CS3 install disk?

The installation process for CS# says my Page Maker 6.5 serial number is incorrect even though the product lists it.

You’ll need to call Adobe for this. Nobody here can help with that type of issue.
    Try an online chat first.

  • How to install CS3 without cd?

My photo editing computer is on the fritz (bad motherboard, unfortunately) so I am left to temporarily use a reformatted 10 year old Dell Dimension onto which I am attempting to install CS3. It appears that both the CD and DVD drives on the old computer do not work. I attempted to contact online chat help through Adobe but it was completely unhelpful. Does anyone know how i can install CS3 any other ways? I have my original cd and activation key, I just can't use the cd drive. I also was told by the adobe "customer service rep" that they could not help me because I am using a version of photoshop that is not current. I think that is a bit ridiculous. They should be able to help regardless of the version I have. At any rate, does anyone have any ideas? I can't afford to purchase a new version, so that isn't an option.

I've run the microsoft fixit program for both drives. It says that updates were made however in both instances the drives are still not functional. I've tried updating the drivers manually, but that hasn't helped either. The OS was just freshly reinstalled, so everything is starting from scratch. The interesting thing is that the OS cd worked, however nothing else will (I've tried a few different cds). I'll try to copy the installer to a jump drive.

  • CS4 Prod Prem install problems...

I have tried numerous times to install CS4 Prod Prem to a
VISTA 32 Home Premium.  I've turned off UAC. I've run as ADMIN. Each time I get different product errors.  The last attempt Adobe Support Advisor claims I don't have SP1, when in fact, I have SP1 and SP2.  I've used the CleanScript after each uninstall which also had errors.  I need some insight.  This is too expensive a product to have this kind of trouble.
    Sonny

    Last error on install was:
    ADOBE XMP Panels CS4
    Error:
Error 1603.  Error 1310.  Error writing to file:
C:\Config.Msi\3ecf0.rbf.   Verify that you have access to that directory.
    So, what now?

  • Installing CS3 on Mavericks

    Hello,
Could someone please tell me how I can install CS3 on OS X Mavericks? I have the original CS3 install discs however my new macbook pro does not come with a CD drive and I am finding it impossible to find any installation files for old versions of CS3. I have tried speaking to adobe support, however they are unable to help with older versions and have suggested that I ask for help here?
I appreciate that this is an older version, however any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Emily

    Hi Emily,
You can get the CS3 suites from the link given below.

  • Installing CS3 Upgrade Version on a NEW PC

    Hello,
I've had a lot of problems contacting Adobe and hope you can help me.
I'm getting a new PC soon and want to install my copy of CS3 Design Standard. The disk here is an upgrade disk as I had the original creative suite (also an upgrade disk). Before that I had Photoshop 6.0, InDesign 2.0 etc.
How would I install CS3 successfully?
    Thanks!

How would I install CS3 successfully?
Probably not at all. New PC means Win 7 or Win 8 and CS3 is not compatible at all with the latter and exposes some not so minor issues with the otehr. Beyond that, if you feel adventurous, al lyou need is your CS3 and you will be asked for a serial of a previous product. Just expect this to be an unpleasant experience and don't say you haven't been warned. Of course you might end up happy like a kid on Christmas on the odd chance it may work without a hitch...

  • Conflicts installing CS3 on a Mac Book Pro

I am trying to install CS3 Prod Premium into a Mac Book Pro. Besides Acrobat, the laptop does not have any other Adobe product. Flash and Photoshop cannot be installed. These are the warning prompts it gives. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

If you are installing on OSX 10.6.7 or beyond, this may not work at all since Apple does something to disable specific PDF stuff and also messes with Flash which may only ever work with CS5 and beyond. In any case, the obvious thing to do is get rid of Acrobat first before atempting another install. Newer versions always get in teh way of legacy installs...
