How do I install drivers to my iBookG4 13"?

My iBook G4 13" is not able to start and displays no kernel , driver
found?

Sorry I didn't include the details.  I am using an iPhone 3GS, with iOS 5.1.1 installed.  I am trying to connect to a Windows 7 pc for internet access.  I have enabled Bluetooth AND personal hotspot on the phone, and can successfully tether using USB.  When I try using Bluetooth, it will not pair to the pc.  When I troubleshoot the issue, I receive a pop up box telling me that I need to install a driver for the device (the phone).  When I try to install the driver for the device, I get a message telling me that the driver device software was not successfully instatlled, because no driver was found.
iTunes IS installed and functioning properly.
I did not view the included documentation, as I did not find it during my search for the resolution.  Thank you for posting it, and I will review it now.  If I get a resolution, I will come back here and remove my question.

    Hi Abel
Linux is not supported by Toshiba and I think that it will be very heavy to find some solution here. I am not sure if this can solve your problem but maybe you can find some useful information on these sites:

  • How can I install drivers for bootcamp without using the mac install dvd?

I installed windows 7 in bootcamp on my mac. I put the drivers on a FAT format usb stick so they should be installed while the windows installation was running. The most things are working on windows like the i-sight-camera. The problem is that the microphone doesn´t work so I look for a solution for 3 days, no result. Normally, you use the mac install dvd to install the necessary drivers but windows doesn´t want to read the dvd. And yes, you can download the drivers on the apple platform, but that doesn´t help me at all.
Thanks in advance. (sorry for the language)

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You didn't install Boot Camp drivers. It looks like you downloaded these drivers > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3173
Those drivers are only for the graphic card and Bluetooth, not anything else, so you have to download the Boot Camp drivers on OS X and install them in Windows

  • I need help installing drivers...

I recently bought this computer used from a large corporation.  They removed the hard drive, but left the rest of the computer intact.  I put in a new hard drive and installed Windows 7 on the computer.  My problem now is I need to install the drivers for the computer, as it has none installed.  I went to the HP driver download site and they only have drivers for windows 8.1.  I still used my other computer to download the driver and then used a flash drive to install to my computer.  It would not install as it is the wrong os.  How can I install drivers on the computer?  Please, help.  thank you.

Hi: See if some of the W7 x64 drivers from this model work on yours.  Do not use any of the BIOS or firmware files. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-700-200-Desktop-PC-series/5399651/model/6667346 It has a similar hardware configuration but not exactly the same. Let me know what devices are left that still need drivers.

  • How do I install windows 7 drivers correctly on my macbook pro retina?

I've installed Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) twice now, and each time I get on, none of the bootcamp drivers seem to be installed correctly.  This means I can't access the internet because a network adapter isn't present, and I can't play games because the NVIDIA drivers aren't there.  I've seen other people have had this problem in the past, but their fix was to download bootcamp 3.x from Apple's download site, but obviously that doesn't work now as the version is newer.
Does anyone know how to correctly install Windows so this doesn't happen, or how to get the drivers installed correctly?
Thank you very much for your time

For 2 reasons, and they are about the hardware.
    1) Apple/Mac and BC restrict the way you use the computer. Maybe not for you but for me. It does not allow you to create any other parttitions for Windows to use. You can't even re-partition the BC partition into 2 drives. That will HOSE the Windows system and maybe the OS X part.
    2) Apple/Mac does not allow the use of all the hardware. You can not use both graphic cards. switch between them. Windows Must use the descrete graphics adapter which cause the system to run hotter. This is a limitation imposed by Apple as with Reall Windows PCs that have both the Interl embedded and add-on descrete graphics you can switch between them.
Actually BC 4 has been out since Lion shipped on new Mac's. BC 4 also restricted the installation of Windows to just Win 7, no more XP. Which was what you could do with Snow Leopard and BC 3

  • How can I install Mac Mini drivers for Windows 7 32-bit if I didn't install Windows 7 using bootcamp?

Hello. I have a mac-mini (mid 2010) and with bootcamp, was successfully running XP.
I then decided to upgraded to Windows 7 had lots of trouble installing it on my existing bootcamp partition.
I finally was able to install Windows 7, by just booting off the CD and letting it install that way.
But reading more on it, I think I was supposed to use Bootcamp to do it for me...
I had thought the Bootcamp Assistant was for only fresh installs of a Windows O.S. where no partitiion existed previously.
I had a partition so thought Bootcamp wasn't required for my needs.
But now, inside Windows 7, I have 0 drivers installed. I have an AirPort Express, so on the Mac side, I downloaded
and installed the Windows version of AirPort Utility and copied it to my USB stick. Then
I exported my settings to a text file on a USB Stick, then on Windows was able to successfully install AirPort Utility and import the settings.
But it still doesn't find my network. I am pretty sure I'm broadcasting my SSID...
So I need to know the following:
    1) How to know I'm broadcasting my SSID - where do I find this in settings?
    2) How I can install my mac-mini drivers on Windows 7 so I can use my existing wireless network, now that I've gone through the installation without using Bootcamp?
    3) Do I need to set up network adapters and all that stuff in Windows 7 first? If so, how and what drivers do I need?
One other thing I tried was downloading Bootccamp 4.x and installing that on Windows 7 to see if it gives me the drivers that were supposed to be written to my USB stick if I had installed Windows 7 using Bootcamp in the first place... However I think the message it said was that it couldn't install as it was the wrong version. So I'm still stuck without drivers and therefore no internet.
And that is my main task - getting the Internet up and running in Windows 7.
    Other Info:
I'm running Mac OS X 10.6.8 with 2 GB of memory.
I installed the 32-bit version of Windows 7 and I don't know what version of Bootcamp I'm running...
I can tell you that BootCamp Assistant is v3.0.4, but don't know if that means Bootcamp is also 3.0.4.
    Hope you can help.
    Thanks.

I tried something that worked for me...
Knowing that after my install of Windows 7 wasn't the correct method (didn't go through bootcamp), and the BootCamp 4.x package wouldn't install under windows 7, I tried reinstalling Bootcamp 4.x in Windows 7 to see what the exact message was it gave me. The message said it couldn't install because of a 32-bit O.S. vs a 64-bit version of the package.
So that got me thinging - my XP version was 32-bit, and so is my Windows 7 installation. So I tried installing the bootcamp that came with my Mac OS X installation CD. This is bootcamp version 3.1.
Not only did it install, but it practically took care of everything driver-wise for me. I was then able to see my wireless network, enter my password and I was connected. The only thing else I had to do to get on the Internet was bring IE8 online (guess it ships offline by default). Firewall and Antivirus are now installed, just a few more things to go.
That's one thing that's just not clear that I'll be sure to note for next time... The Bootcamp packages you download are actually driver packages for Windows. That is where the Windows drivers exists that are necessary to make your Windows 7 PC work on a bootcamp partition!
I didn't need the AirPoirt Utility at all (at least, I never went into it).
Thanks VikingOSX for your post. I will not need to follow the steps you provided, but they may help someone else as all of these bootcamp issues I've been reading seem to be very unique per installation.
    Hopefully my solution helps others.

  • How can I install gutenprint drivers for my Epson Stylus Color 440?

    Good day all!
I have and old and useful printer -Epson Stylus Color 440- and just bougth a cable for connecting it to USB port. Add a new print on its Print and Scan Preference Panel and it was recognized inmediatly, but I was told there was not any driver to that printer.
Tried to set "Epson Stylus Color Series" on its driver but when I went to print, printer seemed to work but does not eject any ink. It seemed as if I were ran out of ink; its car moved over the places occupied by the photo and sounded as normal printing, but not a drop of ink. I checked on an older windows pc, and ink is full, printed normally. I also looked for its drivers on Epson pages, but it seems there are only available for previos Mac OSs, not for X.
A son told me that in his Snow Leopard MacBook White there's a dirver called "Epson Stylus Color 440 gutenprint" on his Print and Scan Driver Menu; haven't tried to print from his MacBook yet, and as I searched, those are open drivers.
I wonder if I can download and install that "Epson Stylus Color 440 gutenprint" from the web, of if there's a way to copy it from my son's Macbook, when he comes and check.
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Clean install of windows 7 - how to install drivers from USB memory stick?

I purchased a Toshiba Satellite C50 loaded with windows 8 but want to revert to windows 7.
I have downloaded the necessary drivers and have mounted the .exe files onto a USB pen for installation.
Before I proceed to wipe windows 8 I'd like to know - if I install 7, will my trackpad stop functioning?
If so, how do I install the relevant drivers from the USB pen?
    Thanks, John

99.9% sure that W7 will identify the trackpad and install it. You just run the exe's using file explorer or Start >Run then browse. You may decide to leave the laptop as the W7 install left it but you should check Device Manager to ensure there are no unrecognised devices

  • TX1410US and Windows 7 - How To Install Drivers?

How do I install the drivers for the following components of a Pavilion TX1410US notebook under Windows 7:
     - Wi-fi connection hardware
     - The buttons on the screen (incl. the media keys there - because those aren't responding)

    Hi,
Use Vista drivers for your specific model. Most of them will work. You may find them here.
First thing which you should install is chipset driver:
    NVIDIA nForce Chipset/Network Drivers here
    Important note!
You will need to reboot your system after installing chipset driver.
It's recommended to install all Windows Updates.
Why? AMD machines with nVidia graphic cards are very quickly overheated after installing Windows 7. This simple solution will fix this problem. You will need to install as quick as possible graphic driver. Which is available through Windows Update too.
    Resource:
    Install Windows updates
    How to find graphic driver?
1.Open Windows Update by clicking the Start button , clicking ' All Programs ', and then clicking ' Windows Update '.
2.In the left pane, click ' Check for updates ' , and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
3.Select the ' Optional Updates ' and install from there only driver for Your graphic card.
Some more up to date drivers / software for Windows 7:
HP QuickPlay here (ver 3.7 v.6112 for 32/64 bit Win7)
    Notes:
It must be installed before HP Quick Launch Buttons.
You've installed this software and it hangs while using?
Uninstall your current HP QUICK PLAY version and install this which you had in Vista.
                Resource:
                Uninstalling Software in Windows 7
Uninstall or change a program in Windows 7
If you burned CD/DVD with C:\swsetup folder before upgrade to Windows 7 then you will find Vista version there.
HP Quick Launch Buttons here (ver 6.50.17.1 for 32/64 bit Win7)
HP Wireless Assistant here (ver 3.50.12.1 for 32/64 bit Win7)
    Ps.
If you will have still problems with finding any driver then let me know about it.

  • How Do I Install Apple Drivers For Windows XP?

Okay, so I have a 15 inch mid 2012 MacBook Pro that is running OS X Mavericks. After many attempts, I managed to install Windows XP 32 bit as a secondary operating system on the HDD using Disk Utility. The only devices that Windows XP recognised upon the installation were the keyboard and the trackpad. I then inserted a Snow Leopard disc to install the Apple Drivers for Windows XP and it appeared as though the drivers got installed(the Boot Camp icon appeared on the taskbar next to the digital clock). However, when I restarted windows, none of the devices other than the keyboard and the trackpad worked. Does this imply that the drivers didn't get installed? If so, why is this and how can I install the drivers? If the drivers did get installed, why aren't the devices working? Please help me out, if possible. Thanks in advance.

It does not work because you are running Mavericks and trying to use non-Mavericks drivers for an operating system (XP) that is not support on your hardware or your operating system.

  • How to re-install internet drivers

I got up yesterday morning to do some work and my notebook would not connect to the internet.  I tried all the tricks in the book and finally had to call the internet help desk.  Somehow, my drivers for internet connectivity have been deleted.  I cannot get online with my notebook at all.  I don't know how this has happened but what I need to know is how I get the drivers back on my notebook so that I can continue.
My notebook is the pc I have to use for school and now I am just floundering.  Please any advice will be much apperciated!

    Hi:
What model notebook do you have and what operating system is it running?
Go to the device manager and if there is no wireless network driver installed you will see a device listed under the Other Devices category and it will be labeled as a Network Controller and it will have a little yellow ! mark next to it.
If you see that, then click on it and post the hardware ID for the device.
If you don't know where to find the hardware ID, please read the info at the link below.
