How do I install InDesign CC when the app overview says "up to date" even though I haven´t installed anything yet?

It sounds like maybe you installed a trial at some point in the past and trashed the application folder rather than doing an uninstall?

The iPad was sealed in the box when I got it. It had the plastic screen protector wrapped all around it and when I powered it on for the first time it displayed the "connect to iTunes for setup" message displayed. The only other thing I can think of is if the person I bought it from had ordered it through Verizon on and the iPad was set up on a number on his pre-existing verizon account. My question is should I just keep using it and consider myself lucky? Since there is no way for Verizon to charge me for the usage because I never signed a contract. I realize that if it is on the account belonging to the person I bought it from, they will eventually figure this out and shut it off. But I might as well use it in the meantime right?

How do I download an app that failed to download when the App Store says all Unfinished Downloads are downloaded?

I purchased a 16GB game 2 days ago and the app failed to download (error said to check Internet connection, which was fine). I tried to redownload it multiple ways: Checking for unfinished downloads (all purchases have been downloaded), in my Purchase history (app is listed under Other purchases with a gray button that has no text and the button doesn't work other than giving a hover/click indication). I've tried trashing the various .plists/caches/cookies to no avail.
I've searched my computer, looked in the dock, looked in launchpad, app definitely is not there.
I am not running any anti-virus software. I'm running 10.7.4.
When I initially purchased this game it wouldn't download, but the downloading icon did show in Launchpad. I used the recommendation of deleting it from Launchpad and restarting and that started the download. It had downloaded over 6GB when I went to bed, but I awoke to the failed download error.

How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.

Have brand new iPad 2 16G 3G and can't get past the first screen saying 'connect to iTunes' even though the usb is connected to my computer which has iTunes downloaded. We bought 3 iPads and I configured my sons ok but the other 2 are not working.

I forgot to back up my ipod and when I updated it last night it reseted all my music and apps to factory default. Is there anyway I can regain all my purchased music and apps even though I haven't backed anything up?

I completely forgot that I still had not backed up any of my purchased music and apps and of course when the update was finished, I found that all my music and apps had been erased. How do I stop Messages notifications when the app is closed?

Messages have an annoying tendancy to still "come through" even after I've quit the program, popping up in the right hand corner of my screen until I attend to them. How do I stop this from happening? There are many times in the day when I'd like to not receive messages from contacts/friends/families and just concentrate on work. I can turn my phone off, silence it, etc. to stop messages from coming through there, but on my computer, where I am working, turning off the device in question is not an option. With Messages on Mavericks, quitting the program doesn't seem to do the trick.

Alternative.
In Messages > Preferences > General Section.
Untick the "When I Quit, Set the Status to Off Line"
This will stop the IMAgent Support app "listening" to the servers for new messages.
It works best if there is a Buddy list account as well as iMessages (such AIM or Jabber).

I was trying to sync my ipod and for whatever reason my iTunes wasn't recognizing my ipod anymore and asked if I wanted to erase it and basically start over. So I said yes, thinking it would then put my music library back on my ipod, but instead now it shows all my music but it won't play or sync. When I try to play any song, it says it can't be located and asks if I would like to locate it, but I still can't find it! I've had to go into the iTunes store and redownload songs and that works. But I would really like to just locate my library wherever it is in my computer. Help!

The apps screen seems to be inactive even though the apps are in there. The sync apps tick option is inactive

I downloaded some apps but the screen in itunes is hazy and seems inactive. it is not possible to tick the sync apps box.

It's useful to know that in Firefox's Safe Mode it works normally. That often points to an extension as the problem, but your More System Details doesn't show any enabled extensions, other than the forum's extension to gather those system details. Hmm...

I have performed Home Sharing, I was able to import half of trhe songs and apps, it says im not authorized even though I authorized the new computer? Why?

I purchased a new computer (windows 7) and I am trying to perform home sharing from my existing computer (Windows XP), I have been able to import half my songs and half my apps and tv shows, but I am missing half of them, when I try to manually import them it tells me that I am not authorized to perform this, WHY???

HT4235 Bought an ipod but it will not sync with itunes. Diagnostics passes everything but the sync test says "no ipod found" even though the computer shows it and itunes shows it but is still doesn't sync.
