  • TS2756 ...if you've installed iPhone Configuration Utility....

....you need to do a "sudo kextload /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext" in Terminal and it's working again.
I don't know if it stops iCU (iPhone Config Util) from working, but if it does: "sudo kextunload ..." (still in Terminal!)

    Hiya
    Found the answer!!
You need to add the certificate into one of the stores manually if its not showing up on the certificates list
    Soooo....
    in windows xp
    double click your .cer file
    then clcik 'Install Certificate'
    then 'Next'
then 'Place the certificate in the following store'
    then 'Browse'
Click each store other than untrusted publisher and then ok
Maybe somebody will be able to tell us which store it actually needs to be in but if not just stick it in all of them

  • Installing iPhone configuration utility

    Hello,
I'm new to the iPhone CU, so basically I'm looking for guidance on where to begin with the installation. I'll be deploying profiles to iPads/iPhones/iPod Touch and I don't know where to begin. Should this utility be installed on a server (snow leopard), or does it matter where it is installed? Once installed, how do I blow out the configurations to the devices? Is there any documentation (a pdf) online on how to proceed with the install?

Thanks, I have been going over that and it answers my questions concerning profiles. However, I still don't see anything about the installation of the utility, where it should be installed, specs. etc...

  • How do I install Canon Eos Utility on Imac retina?

I want to install the canon Eos utility software on the Imac retina...without dvd-player. I can only find updates at the Canon website. Anybody a solution?

    Ad additional thought:
If the only purpose of that app is to be able to attach your camera to the iMac and you don't want to go through the lengthy instructions on how to extract an installer, there really is no need to have it. You could simply insert the SD card into either your Mac's slot or use a USB card reader and can access all contents easily. Youc an either take a preliminary look at the pics with Preview or set it up so it'll automatically download into Aperture, or iPhot, or whatever app you use. I've done this with all my Canons - it's easy, fast, and saves the camera battery.

  • How to re-install iPhone apps that have been deleted on the iPhone?

    Hi,
I've installed a number of iPhone apps onto my iPhone via iTunes. I've then deleted some of them on my iPhone. I now want one of the deleted apps back. It's still visible in my iTunes Applications, as well as in Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications.
How do I get it re-installed into my iPhone? So far I've tried:
    - redownloading the app from the iTunes store, and selecting Buy and pressing OK to re-install
    - double-clicking on the .ipa file in Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications
After each of the above I resync my iPhone. But still the app won't re-install on my iPhone.
    thank you,
    ...ben

Yeah, figured it out, and was just about to post what you said. But you were too quick. Thank you!

  • How do I install iPhone Firmware without Errors???

    ok folks, here it is:
    Macbook Pro 8GB Ram
    Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2
    iTunes 10.5.2 64bit
    and a dead iPhone 4 CDMA :-(
iPhone stopped starting up Oct 9th, 2011 and was fully updated at the time. I tried countless suggestions then, have resumed troubleshooting this week.
it's fully charged and will not turn on. it displays the prompt to connect iPhone to iTunes via USB.
These are the variety of steps I've tried (many of these worked for others. Try them if you are experiencing problems) :
Failed for me: in iTunes, I clicked restore. Apple downloaded latest ipsw firmware, extracted software, stopped at error #3002  :-(
Failed for me: Since apple downloaded v5.0.1 and failed, I downloaded "iPhone3,3_4.2.9_8E501_Restore.ipsw" & "iPhone3,3_4.2.10_8E600_Restore.ipsw" & "iPhone3,3_5.0_9A334_Restore.ipsw" via third party sites. in iTunes, I held down "option", clicked restore, and selected one of the newly downloaded ipsw files. iTunes successfully extracted the ipsw software but gave me several errors including #3002, #3001, #3194, #1611, #1602  :-(
Failed for me: forced iPhone into DFU mode (Device Firmware Update)
Connect the iPhone to your computer and launch iTunes
Turn the iPhone off (hold down the power button at the top of the iPhone)
Hold down the sleep/power button and home button together for exactly 10 seconds, then release the power button
Continue to hold down the Home button until a message appears in iTunes telling you an iPhone in recover mode has been detected
When you are in DFU mode your iPhone screen will be completely black
then tried to restore with both apple and third party ipsw.
    got more errors. :-(
    Failed for me:
    Closed iTunes
Opened Finder. Clicked "Go" - "Go to Folder..."
Typed /etc/ looked for "host" file and opened
deleted the last line containing gs.apple.com
Saved host file to desktop, unchecking "include .txt"
deleted original host file. took edited host file saved on desktop and dragged to where original host files was
authenticated it with mac administrater name and password
closed finder. opened iTunes. Forced iPhone into DFU. clicked restore.
    #Error 1602 :-(
Failed for me: same everything as above but instead of deleting last line, replaced it with this one:
"#74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com" (this is the Cydia server address)
    Same error #1602  :-(
Failed for me: When iTunes is trying to restore, part of the process is the rebooting of the iPhone, but it cannot boot up, so it gets stuck in this endless cycle of trying to reboot. the apple logo will appear for 30sec then disappear, then reappear, then disappear, etc.
Failed for me: I used redsn0w to "Recovery Fix" and all other options redsn0w offers. Nothing :-(
Failed for me: I tried installing Cydia via redSn0w, entered DFU, selected different ipsw's to use, and it always gets stuck on waiting to reboot. the apple logo keeps cycling without stop until I unplug or use redsn0w to recovery fix.
Failed for me: I also used TinyUmbrella to recover from the same cycle. Nothing :-(  I don't have a saved SHSH, so I cannot start a TSS server
Failed for me: I've tried rebooting my mac. I've tried editing my "host" file various ways. I've tried restoring original host file. I've tried using different USB cables. I've tried all different USB ports. I simply cannot get my iPhone to boot up past the apple logo. Apple won't even look at it without $200 thrown at them.
As you can see I've experienced a lot of FAILURES :-(
I've successfully restored my iPod touch in the past, my Dad's iPad, and my brother's iPhone with no problems.
Because of wonderful experiences in the past, I declined AppleCare. Why is this iDevice being so problematic?
I NEED suggestions other than what I've tried thus far. PLEASE HELP!!!

thanks for the suggestion. This was just a simple tutorial on doing a regular restore through Apple. I've tried that already and it doesn't work. I'm sure that Apple downloaded the iOS 5.0.1 (9A406) through my iTues. When iTunes tries to install the firmware on my iPhone, however, that's when the errors start popping up. When I try restoring in DFU mode, my iPhone gets stuck in rebooting over and over again.
It seems like I'm getting some kind of error even before it starts putting any firmware on my iPhone. I've never got to the part where there is a progress bar underneath the apple logo. Any other suggestions?

  • How can I install iphone devices drivers to my pc

I have an iphone, which has failed to function properly with my PC because the driver installation to the computer would not be completed. What can I do to install the drivers please?
    A. U.

    Hello Uduogu
To get the drivers to get back on your PC, you will need to remove iTunes and its related software and then install the latest version of iTunes. Make sure to when you remove iTunes to follow the order that the article states as if you do not, it will give you the desired results.

  • How do I install HP Printer Utility with OS 10.6?

My wife has an iMac (Intel) with OS X 10.6.8.
When we bought it (about 2 years ago), we downloaded HPIJS 3.10.6 software so that our ancient HP DeskJet 930C would work.
    Printing was fine until recently.  Based on the troubleshooting tips in the HP manual, there are several steps that can be taken (clean the print heads;
calibrate the printer) from the Printer Utility.  But it's not there (I followed Apple's instructions for finding it under Print/Fax in Sys. Preferences), and HP's site doesn't show any way of just downloading the printer Utility.  (Their most recent drivers are not for OS 10.6.)
    Any suggestions?  Thanks!

    However, we use it rarely,
That could be the key. We've had several inkjets that fit the "rarely used" category and all but our current one died from lack of use.
The HP we have now (PhotoSmart C6280) is a multifunction and making copies several times a week with it seems to have avoided light-use clogging. Older printers were not nearly as forgiving on being ignored.
That printer model is on this list posted on the HP support site:
Product not supported in Mac OS X v10.6 or later
As you seem to have had it working at some point under 10.6.8, you must have been using 10.5 drivers--which are still up on the HP website. Did the computer have 10.5 first and was then upgraded to 10.6 during the time teh printer was working?

  • How can I install iPhone apps other than Amercan one?

I have a iTune account in the US, but I want some FREE Japanese apps. In order to download apps, I need to log in, which means iTune store took me to the US store. I don't have Japanese credit card, so I won't be able to create another account.
Is there any way I can download international apps?

There is not. You must purchase/download applications from the store in which your country is located.

  • IPhone Configuration Utility Not Working

    Hi Guys,
I am getting the dreaded error:
"iPhone Configuration Utility failed to locate 'Apple Mobile Device Support'. Please re-install iPhone Configuration Utility."
Actions I have tried (in various combinations):
    - Reinstall iTunes (11)
    - Reinstall iPCU (3.6.1)
    - Copy various .dll files to iPCU directory (as per other suggestions, even though Im not getting a .dll error)
This is on a x86 machine running Windows Vista.
The devices I use get detected in iTunes just fine.
The error message I state above shows as soon as I launch iPCU. No prior error / No error after / No GUI loads - just the above error.
My guess, as per seeing past issues regarding iPCU is that iPCU is incompatible with my version of iTunes/AMDS.
Any trick on getting this working other than waiting for Apple to fix up iPCU? Im tired of reading hundereds of threads of 'solutions' that get me nowhere.
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi.
I found that most problems with IPCU startup is a some issue with DLLs and programs in the PATH environment variable. And I thinks it's Apple to blame how they load their DLLs. For me the two things prevented IPCU from working:
Some Intel software in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\iCLS Client". I don't know what is it, probably part of drivers or other Intel software on my PC (I have Intel chipset motherboard and Intel SSD). Affected DLL was msvcr90.dll located here.
    Zend Server in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Zend\ZendServer\bin". Affected DLLs were: libxml2.dll, iconv.dll .
I also see that it loads zlib1.dll from my "LUA for Windows" folder instead of its own but it seems that IPCU working with it.
So, basically problem occurs because either IPCU or Apple Mobile Device Support load wrong DLLs from some of PATH folders instead of their own folders and those DLLs are incompatible. I have located and narrowed it down by looking into list of loaded DLLs in Process Explorer while IPCU is running (showing its error message box), then checking DLLS that wasn't loaded from one of Windows or Apple folders, and after this  I cut folders from PATH variable one by one until it worked, then I returned most of them back except those that affected IPCU startup.

  • IPhone Configuration Utility 2.1 for Windows keeps popping up

Although I have already installed "iPhone Configuration Utility 2.1 for Windows," and another use of my PC has done so as well, Apple Software Update keeps urging me to install the iPhone Configuration Utility. As a matter of fact, I can confirm it was installed twice under the "Installed Updates" pane.
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this, or do I just need to ignore that update?
    Thanks.

i have the same issue... evry 2 or 3 days it pops and i install it again ...
after the installation... the program searches for updates again and says there is new version.. it is the SAME version over and over again ..
