How do I install JDK into an OC4J instance
Does anyone know how to do this or know where there is documentation on it? I'm running 9iAS 9.0.2.0.1
THanks
Nathan,

How do I install memory into the Pavilion 17z-F2 series laptops?
How do I install memory into the Pavilion 17z-F (17z-F200, product L2H13AV) series laptops?
HP appears to have no maintenance guide available for this model series. What's up with that?
Please, do not offer the generic (and out-of-date) Pavilion 17 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide. It does not appear to apply to the 17z-F series. This guide instructs to remove the bottom service panel which I could have figured that out on my own. However, the 17z-F series does not appear to have any removable panels at all. I took an up-close look at the Pavilion 17z-F100. And, it does not have any removable panels on the underside, except for the battery. So, I presume the 17z-F200 to be the same.
I am a computer technician. And, this is the first laptop I have seen without any service panels. I am probably going to have to disassemble the entire outer-shell to install memory (or to replace the hard disk drive once the time comes). But, every laptop I have worked on in the past had its own special array of hidden screws or special tricks for disassembly. So, having a maintenance guide is a necessity to avoid damaging plastic mounts, clips, guides, etc.
This question was solved.
View Solution.How about this one:
Pavilion 17z Manual
Don't get me started on this. It's one of my pet peeves, too. HP is not the only one doing this. Acer and Toshiba, etc. also are selling "closed" systems now. I hate it. I will absolutely never knowingly buy one but I am spending a lot of time here answering questions just like this. Good luck and let us know how you do. Sounds like you will be fine.

I took a look at the Pavilion 17z-F100 (sent by mistake). It does not have any removable panels on the underside. And, the User Guide for the 17z-F200 indicates that it will be the same (assuming it ever arrives).

Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forums. Here is a link to the HP Pavilion 17 notebook Maintenance and service guide.
HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide
In the guide you will find the instructions on how to access the memory module and as well you should find the supported memory configurations.
I hope this was helpful.
Thank you for posting and have a great day

How can I install presets into Lightroom 4.4 64 bits?
How can I install presets into lightroom 4.4 64 bits?
Hard to know where the ball got dropped without details.
I suggest creating a new "test" preset in Lightroom, then make sure you can find it in OS (Finder/Explorer).
Wherever you found it - that's the folder your other presets should be in. If they are already in that folder, then the preset files are not copacetic somehow (e.g. not compatible type).
they should end with .lrtemplate

How do I install filters into PSCC 2014?
How do I install my filters from PS6 into PSCC 2014? I know you can't just drag and drop them. That caused all kinds of problems with PSCC. I would like to do PSCC 2014 the right way to avoid problems. The filters are from many different developers and not all are still available but they work fine in PS6.
Most likely you install each the same way you installed each in Photoshop CS6. If any of you filters also used a panel created with Adobe Configurator. They will not be able to be installed. For Photoshop CC 2014 does not support Flash Panels which are the kind of Panels that Configurator created.

How do I install Textures into Photoshop CS5?
I just got CS5 and can't figure out how to install textures into it. I am not even seeing a Textures folder. Can anyone provide me with a bit of guidance on this? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
SabrinaThis worked for me: I created a Textures folder in my user presets folder (Users/(name)/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Presets); I moved my desired .PSD textures there. Then, when I restarted PSCS5, I went to Filters>Texture>Texturize and clicked on the flyout menu next to Texture:. When prompted to Load Texture ... , I drilled down to that same Textures folder I created under my user name. The texture won't be added to the standard textures (Brick, Canvass, etc.), but PSCS5 will remember the location you specified to look for textures.
You can do the same thing by creating a Textures folder in the Program Files (x86) (Program Files (x86)/Adobe/ ... etc.) but you'll need Administrator powers for this and for every time you want to add textures. -

Install PDK in an OC4J instance of OracleAS
Hello.
I have installed an OracleAS + Portal 10g (9.0.4), and I have created a new OC4J instance, named OC4J_newinstance.
My question is: How do I install PDK in OC4J_newinstance?
I have found a lot of tutorials and forums, but all of them explained how to install PDK in an OC4J STANDALONE instance. Please help me, and thanks in advance!
Greetings!
ps: I need to install PDK because I want to develop my own portlets, using my own JSP pages. I already have done that, but using an OC4J STANDALONE instance, and I want to use my OracleAS OC4J_newinstance.Hi Shail,
i referred the link you have sent it was helpful to me, but the thing is while deleting the shared library apache.webservices it is saying the shared library is in use. When we brought down the Application Server and try to run the removeSharedLibrary command we got other error.
Error: "Failed at "Could not get DeploymentManager".
This is typically the result of an invalid deployer URI format being supplied, the target server not being in a started state or incorrect authentication details being supplied.
Is the way which i have done is correct ?? Please reply me.
Thank You,
Ravi kumar. -
How to start ascontrol application of oc4j_soa OC4J Instance
Hi All,
As per the Content DB Developer's kit we have configured the oc4j_soa OC4J to use OID, however the ascontrol application of this Instance is down and the ascontrol application of home OC4J Instance is up (I guess only one instance of ascontrol must be running at any point of time). However, I will not be able to create the connection to oc4j_soa with JDeveloper as it's ascontrol is not running...How can I make it up?..if I try to make it up from back end by changing the
<application name="ascontrol" path="../../home/applications/ascontrol.ear" parent="system" start="true" /> start property to false in F:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\home\config\server.xml and <application name="ascontrol" path="../../oc4j_soa/applications/ascontrol.ear" parent="system" start="false" /> start property to true in F:\product\10.1.3.1\OracleAS_1\j2ee\oc4j_soa\config\server.xml and restart the SOA suite, I am unable to start the Appliaction Server Control page as the ascontrol of home is is refering to Applicatin server control page we are working on...so how to make the oc4j_soa's ascontrol up and running without loosing the access to Appl. Server Ctrl. page.
Thanks
KrrishHi Krrish,
This can only be done via the opmnctl command line tool.
Subsequently run:
- opmnctl stopproc process-type=home application=ascontrol
- opmnctl startproc process-type=oc4j_soa application=ascontrol
Then ascontrol runs in oc4j_soa.
Although this is fine for development or when running SOA Suite in a Virtual Machine (and for cutting down memory consumption) it is not recommended for production deployments. In the latter case only run SOA Suite components in your SOA OC4J instance.

Install jdk into WinME, how to set path?
I just install WinME for my pc! However, the method to set path in WinME is different with Win98! I set the path in Win98 by using 'sysedit', however, WinME haven't got 'sysedit', then i tried to set path in 'msconfig'! But, it only allows us to set one path, how should i add one more paths?
i can't run javac, it said msvcrt.dll has problem!
what happen?
I can set path in Win98 but winME is different.
thank youWindows ME - To set the PATH permanently:
From the start menu, choose programs, accessories, system tools, and system information. This brings up a window titled "Microsoft Help and Support". From here, choose the tools menu, then select the system configuration utility. Click the environment tab, select PATH and press the edit button. Now add the SDK ( e.g C:\j2sdk1.4.0-beta3\bin)to your path by Looking for the PATH statement. (If you don't have one, add one.) If you're not sure where to add the path, add it to the right end of the PATH.
After you've added the location of the SDK to your PATH, save the changes and reboot your machine when prompted.

How do i install icloud into my macbook pro?
I'm trying to back up my music into icloud but i noticed that my laptop does not have it so i would like to know how to install it.. If someone could help me would be awsome
If you're referring to iTunes Store purchases, the process is handled automatically if it's available at all in your country, but shouldn't be considered a backup.
If you're referring from music from other sources, click here and follow the instructions.

How do I instal luasql into Eclipse (koneki ldt win32)
I have downloaded and unzipped the "all-in-one" install of Koneki LDT (org.eclipse.koneki.ldt.product-win32.win32.x86.zip). It "Works" which is great.
I can run the one line program print("Hello World") and it writes 'Hello World' the the Console window.
However, I am writing some code using luasql to access a remote sql server and when I have the line
luasql = require "luasql.mysql"
my eclipse spits the dummy and says it can't find find files in dozens of folders, starting with:
no file '.\luasql\mysql.lua'
no file 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\lua\luasql.lua'
no file 'C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\lua\luasql\init.lua'
and many many more.
I have not installed lua on the Win7 32 bit PC I am using - I have only installed the eclipse all in one IDE. However since the Hello World program works, the IDE must have installed some version of LUA.
On my target device (openWRT router) the luasql programs that I write in notepad are working, but I want to get a proper IDE working before going much further.
How do I get the luasql available in the eclipse environment to allow me to step through and debug the mysql code?
I used Eclipse for PHP development until I went to Zend's paid IDE (which is still Eclipse) and for Android development a few years ago, so I have got Eclipse working before. I tried including the lua environment using the help-Install New Software on my 'main' development machine but ran into some dead ends, so I decided to try it out on an older machine first to minimise risk of breaking my php development environment on my main machine.
Any assistance would be appreciated.Hi John,
Out of the box, LDT handles standard modules.
I understand that you want to debug code from your openWRT router. LDT enables you to debug Lua on remote devices.
Tell us if it suits your needs.
