How do i install kodak hero 7.1 printer drivers when they aren't from a recognised developer

i have a macbook pro running mountain lion and im trying toconnect it to a kodak hero 7.1. however when i try to install the driver software my macbook won't let me because it says that the software is from an unrecognised developer. It says that this is set in my security preferences but i cant find these to change the option

You can hold down the control key while selecting the icon and then select 'Open' from the drop-down menu. You'll be prompted asking if you're sure you want to open the app. Select yes (or 'allow' - I don't recall exactly) and you'll have a one-time-only use of the app.

Have just installed a Kodak Hero 9.1 printer. Works fine on my wife's old mac but on mine (lion 10.7.4) it says printer not connected. Yet it will print direct from Word, Mail etc. Just cannot access the scanner and other features. Have done all the usual. Anyone had a similar problem?

If the printer has WiFi, Kodak has an app in the iTunes Store that allows printing to at least some of their WiFi-equipped printers. Third-party printing apps such as PrintCentral are also available. All such apps have limitations, so check them out thoroughly before you pay for any such app.
For other printers, you can route the printing through your computer. If you have a Mac, Printopia would be worth a look. Fingerprint is another option that is available for both Mac OS X and Windows system. You could also consider an AirPrint-capable print server. Lantronix makes a couple of models, including one that supports a USB printer:

Sounds like you have auto app down load enabled. Which is by default if I recall.
Settings---> iTunes & App Store---> Auto App Download.

You woul dprobably need to choose a zoom display mode on the TV.
Any screem shots / promos for mirroring I've seen have been 4:3 ratio like the iPad screen resolution.
To me this would be an obvious source of frustration to users of 16:9 TVs - unless there's an ipad 2 mode to somehow run in 16:9 not using the whole screen or not displaying the edges for mirroring, AppleTV2 may not be able to fill the screen

If you have Gatekeeper set to max security (Mac App Store only) only updates through the Mac App Store can be installed.
If you open System Prefs > Security & Privacy > click the padlock to unlock the pref screen, you can then change the Gatekeeper Prefs on the lower half of the window.
