How do i install Logic Studio on my new iMac without CDD?!

Hi!
I'm getting my new iMac 21,5" delivered tomorrow, and i want to install Logic Pro the first thing i do. But, the thing is i bought the Logic Studio a few years ago, and i got the software on CD! Now, how do i do to install it on my iMac? Is there a way to register my product on App Store and then download it? I'm not so hyped on buying the software again on App Store or buying an external disk drive ONLY to install Logic! :/ Please help me out!

You have to buy the USB SuperDrive, but if you have an older Mac, you can use Remote Disc to install it

The installer for Logic Pro 8 has a bug which keeps it from operating in Lion or Mt. Lion. Use the program Pacifist to install it.

It's distributed as a disk image file. Double-click the file. A disk image will mount. Drag the application in that image to the Applications folder. Eject the image by dragging its icon on the Desktop to the Trash. You can then delete the disk image file.

Can't install logic studio on my Intel iMac

I have logic pro 7.2 installed on my intel iMac, which now runs maverics. However I now want to install my logic studio upgrade but I get an error saying that power pc applications are no longer supported. How do I get logic studio on my machine which clearly should work as it is built for intel macs when Logic pro 7.2 runs fine!

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself independently backed up against loss. To use a device with a new computer you transfer the content from the old computer (or its backup) directly to the new computer, not the device to the new computer. Media syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

So I'm about to upgrade to a larger hard drive in my Macbook Pro, is there anything I need to deauthorize or deactivate on my current hard drive in regards to Logic Studio/Pro, and how do I do this if I do? I know iTunes has a deauthorize option, and I can't find one in Logic. I appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks.

If you don't have the disc then download it, install it, and use your serial number to activate it. You might find a download link in your Adobe account online if you originally downloaded it from Adobe. You can also use the link below to locate a download.

If you need your serial number, check your Adobe account online. It should be there if you registered the software.

I have a new imac with iLife 8 installed with Leopard.
I can't get used to the new iMovie 8 and want to instal iMovie 6 (which i am used to and find great).
Can anyone recommend how i can do this?
I don't want to change the other iLife apps, only iMovie 6.
Also the new imac is not at home and not connected to the internet, is there anyway i can do this without being online? can i download a DMG on a different mac and instal on the new one?

How do I install iMovie 6HD on a new iMac

My neighbor just got a brand new iMac (nice!) and I was telling him that iMovie 6 has features that he would find helpful. He purchased iLife 08 when he bought his iMac, but when we download iMovie 6HD it won't let him install. Does anyone know a work around?

We tried that but when the installer is launched it says that iLife 08 must be installed on the machine - and it is. Somehow this machine does not recognize that iLife 08 was preinstalled from the factory. Any thoughts?

A few ideas. 1 Is the install disc faulty? 2 Have you got all the system u/dates on your mac? Should 10.5.8 for leopard. or 10.6.2 for snow. Do you have the latest drivers for your audio interface? Ols ones can sometimes [although its unlikely] cause problems.
Have you contacted tech support? Even if your copy isn't registered, you can get help over the phone. They'll ask for a serial number. You'll also need to get the updates as LP8 out of the box had some issues.
I'm guessing you have the first macbookpro 17" its a core duo with 2G Ram max. Same as mine. I have 8.02 running under snow leopard and its fine. I suspect that something in one of those missing system updates might not allow L8 to complete the install.

Four Gigzs will be fine, as it handle processing quite smooth some time i load stuff up and i have to wonder if i was about to load something that is how quick it is.
Logic 7 not being in the Dock at this moment is minor, if you know that it can be launch else where, just also remember in Apple Key-Note on Leapard their is a Dock 4 stuff on the Desk-top which is smart for stuff to pop-up as you would from the Dock.
You can also set the prefference on a L.7 song to open in Logic 8 on the info.
These faults can't be forever, but is Minor if you know Logic inside out, if not then it seems like a nightmare, eg i now has to use the mighty-mouse the one with the tail as my Emagic-Logic Mackie controller doesn't work any more and seems to be a bit scared of the new Logic, hopefully i know Apple will have it working sooner than later.
On a level this Version of Logic is a must have, they have done so much to it its fun!
Except for a few windows that you have to go close and see what's going on, that is a lot smaller than L.P 7 other than that things that i see and the way it looks and run is more than amazing.
