How do I install Photoshop Express on my iMac? (Can I install it on my iMac?)

I'm a writer working on a book, and I need Photoshop Express (if it's possible) to view the size/resolution of image files that I plan to use in the book.
I have a contractual deadline of this coming Monday, February 9, to get these photos to my editor in the high-resolution form that they specify.
Can I do this with Photoshop Express?
Also, can I install Photoshop Express on my iMac (running OS X version 10.6.8....yeah, I know it's an old OS, but I don't want to do an OS upgrade while I have a pook project in the works.)
Please let me know ASAP...I'd like to get these images sorted out and ready to send to my editors no later than this coming Friday, February 6.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Photoshop Express is an iOS app, not an OSX program. And no, you can't create print-ready imagery with it. You are looking completely in the wrong place. Find someone to take care of your images or send the raw files to your publisher so they can have their own pre-press team working on them.

I would like stay only with the 2014 version but i don´t find more the desinstaller of old CC version and the 2 versions takes a lopt of space on my disk... is it normal or is there a necessity to stay with the 2 versions... • I recently installed Photoshop Elements 13.  I can't launch help & tutorials etc. how can I fix this?

I recently installed Photoshop Elements 13.  I was able to launch help, tutorials etc. but as of today I get "Forbidden You don't have permission to access /chcservices/services/redirect on this server".  How can I fix this?

Had to go with Method 2, but couldn't locate the Preference file, (yes hidden files are visible).
Following the path you suggest, in C: I have Users>user name>AppData>Roaming>Adobe>Elements_Organiser>12.0>Organiser>Log.txt
And I couldn't find it in S: either.
I uninstalled using the DVD program, and this time was sure I ticked the 'Remove Preferences' box. I CC cleaned registry and files before and after removal and again after a restart.
I did a fresh install feeling very hopeful, but I'm afraid the result is still the same.
I suppose I could try installing on C: in case that is an issue, but it's not a very satisfactory long term solution as I'm restricted on space.

  • Installing Photoshop CS5 requires Adobe AIR to be installed

Hey Guys (I'm new so sorry if I do anything wrong here),
I just installed Windows 8, and while it was very confusing I accidently deleted all of my programmes (I got confused with what the Reset Tab was) and when I went to go and install Photoshop Trial, it's telling me I need to update Adobe AIR because It's not available to my system.
I've installed it before, the only change was from Windows 7 to Windows 8, and I've seen other people with Windows 8 use Photoshop CS5? Please Help!?
Message title was edited by: Brett N

No No, Sorry aha I installed Windows 8, which was fine. I didnt like it much so I tried doing a system restore assuming I could just go back to Windows 7 (What my friend told me). I found out eventually I couldnt obviously, but before I found out I figured the "Reset Your PC" option would be like a system restore and would go back to Windows 7. All my Programmes got deleted, which I was fine about so I just went to go install them again but Photoshop is telling me I cant install it due to not having the system requirements. But the only requirement I believe I dont have is Windows 7, but like I said before... I've seen others with Windows 8 having Photoshop..
A system Image Backup, nope.. I dont. My friend told me that it was just a trial and I would go back to Windows 7 once the trial is up. (I should do my own research in future)
I hope this was clear enough, again it's pretty late and I'm just stressed over loosing everything. Thank you for getting back to me so soon also - Any other tips on how to maybe get it? I dont think I have any traces of Adobe left since all my programmes got deleted, the only other thing I have is Adobe Flash.

  • I can't install photoshop CS4 but all other CS have installed

When I put the disks in to try and install it again, I just get a list of all the cs4 programs that I have installed in my comp. And photoshop is not on the list. How can I install it? I have a woking serial number. Please help thanks

It might help others help you more directly if you provide some additional information:
What Windows operating system?  32 or 64 bit?
    What kind of computer?
What Adobe CS package is it (e.g., "master suite")?
Where did you buy a CS4 package recently?
What error message(s) (if any) did you get when you initially installed the software and Photoshop wouldn't install?

I've Creative Suite Design Premium and everything installed perfectly including Photoshop. However, the 64-bit Photoshop has fatal errors when installing and ceases. I've a new Windows 7 Computer and this problem is persistent. Can anyone help me? Here is the error:

  • Can't install Photoshop 5.02, so no upgrades will install

I can't re-install Photoshop.  My original full version is 5.02, and my Windows 7 64bit says "not compatible", and since all versions I have thru CS5 are upgrades, you could say my Adobe foundation isn't up to current building codes.  I tried cdompatibility mode XP SP2 for the setup, exe file for 5.02.  No go.  Adobe chat was no help as tech was probably in diapers when I bought V 5.02 and couldn't understand SN starting PWW..."Your SN must be 24 characters".  All versions since 5.05 were upgrades depending on the original [PS7, CS2, CS5].

You don't need to install the original full version of the software in order to install the latest upgrade. All upgrades include the full program code. The serial number differentiates a full version from an upgrade.
Just install the CS5 upgrade (even if no Adobe software has been installed previously).
Enter the CS5 upgrade serial number when prompted.
The CS5 installer will ask for the serial number from a previous qualifying version. Enter either a CS2 or CS3 or CS4 serial number - even if those serial numbers are upgrades, they'll still be accepted - and the CS5 installer will complete the installation.

  • I can't install Photoshop CC because of a supposed already installed beta version. However I can't find any other versions. What can I do? Is there something I can delete in e.g. system configuration?

A beta version is supposed to be installed on the computer and this needs to be uninstalled before I can install Photoshop CC. There is no such installation present, could it be some configuration or setting that should be removed?

  • Bought used iMac, can't install OS

    HI everyone,
I bought a used iMac (not sure which one, it's Gray and Blue and transparent, slot loading: a G3 I think).
When I bought it, it had OS X (not sure which) installed on it, but I was locked out because of a lost password. So I decided a complete erase/install was in order. I want to install Panther 10.3, I have the retail disc, but it won't intall. It gets almost done and says, "there were errors installing the software".
I also tried to install from a gray disc 10.2 but it won't even recognize that disc.
So now I've erased and can't get my OS to install. Can you help?
    Thanks in advance

It may just be a glitch but it could also be a sign of a more serious problem. Making a determination depends on how sure you are the installer discs you have are not defective.
The iMac you apparently have is quite old. The internal PRAM backup battery is most likely dead. There may also be a problem with RAM - it could be failing. The hard drive may need replacing.
If the PRAM battery is dead it can make it impossible to install OS X even if your installer discs are fine. Replacing the battery is a chore because it is located on the motherboard. You would need to do some substantial disassembly to get to the battery. The battery is a 3.6 volt 1/2 AA sized lithium cell. You can buy them at Radio Shack, battery specialty shops, and some photo supply stores. Getting to the battery requires removing the rear cover then an interior shield.
If you can boot the computer from one of your installer discs then you can try this:
    Extended Hard Drive Preparation
    1. Boot from your OS X Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger or Leopard.)
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Set the number of partitions from the drop down menu (use 1 partition unless you wish to make more.) Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Select the volume you just created (this is the sub-entry under the drive entry) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
    5. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, check the button for Zero Data and click on OK to return to the Erase window.
    6. Click on the Erase button. The format process can take up to several hours depending upon the drive size.
After formatting has completed try the installation. If it still fails then replace the PRAM battery and try installing again. In order to install 10.3 on the machine it must have at least 128 MBs of RAM installed. The hard drive should be at least 10 or 20 GBs.

yes you need the updates and patches.
Only some of the drivers that Windows will automatically install at times
and always make sure to insure it is using restore points
do all the maintenance andsuch as normal
use MS Security Essentials for AV is really top notch
    Clean disk space
Use WinClone new program to inisure you have a restore image

  • How do I start Photoshop CC after CC says it is installed?

I just joined the Creative Cloud and the CC window says I have installed Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC.  There is a Lightroom shortcut on my desktop which appears to open the app (I am new to Lightroom).  However, there is no Photoshop CC shortcut.  There IS a Creative Cloud shortcut which only opens the window described in the first sentence.  Help!  I am running Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1.

Strange... Well, there must be an Adobe Photoshop folder with the appropriate application icon in it somewhere in your Programs folder. You know how and where to find that ? You can then rightclick that icon and create a shortcut onto the desktop.
I wish the application icons in the CC Destop panel would "start" the applications, if present of course. That would be very obvious for them to do, I guess.

Is there anybody else who faced such problem? How have you solved it?
