no more details to offer.. R is a free downloadable statistics language and i can t install it with firefox as of yet.. i use linux mint 11 as my operating system...similar as you know to windows.....but NO OPTION TO INSTALL !! just no way to tell which one to use..gheesh there are so many options

So when I plugged in my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.4), iTunes told me it needed to update to the newest version... so I did. After installing it it gave me an error (-45019) that said that a required component wasn't installed. I looked it up and people were saying to unistall iTunes and all apple related software and reinstall itunes which i did. I am on Windows 8.1.

Can someone help me? been stuck with this problem.. and i need too install this, so i can use my iphone.
Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

article on a3webtech.com says this is a safer way to get firefox onto a new pc so that you don't have to open Internet Explorer to download it. reason given is that without good security installed you're asking for trouble by opening your new pc and connecting to internet with IE. But, somewhere else a comment was made that registry info. may be messed up by downloading and then installing from a flash drive.

Thanks.I've read that Q/T is not just a simple application but in reality, a major component of the OS. This is where it varies from other similar acting apps like WMV, AVI, FLV etc. To butress this statement, in a vague way, I remember seeing a graphic of the Mac OS when Apple was first pushing "X". QuickTime was in the same general area of depth in programming as UNIX.
So, you might not want to delete all of QuickTime just the Reg Key which should/could/might put you back to the non Q/T Pro functionality and thence legal to install on another machine.
Just be certain that the version on the new machine is the same as on the old machine or expect to buy a new $30 key.

Hi. How come iTunes keeps saying:"this iPod can not be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64 bit version of iTunes?" Now it's saying that the required software isn't installed. Hmm, could it be referring to Apple Mobile Device Support? That is supposed to be installed with when iTunes gets installed right? I only ask, because that didn't get installed with the itunes setup.

Just an FYI I had xcode 3.2 installed on my snow leopard system and have today just installed Lion and I just cleaned and rebuilt an App I had developed prior to the Lion install to test to see if it would work. I was told it would but wanted to make sure and it successfully rebuilt and works in the simulator.
My issue is a bit different I need to install 4.1 WITHOUT corrupting my 3.2 installation as I may have to go back to rebuild a 3.2 App as we had a fairly unique setup for our xcode. The problem as I see it currently is I do not know how LION installs things in LION xcode is an App downloaded from the App store but I need to be able to download to something other than the default directories and I am not sure if I have that option in LION when installing an App(xcode) from the App Store -

Yes, you can theoretically restore your iPhone with any computer running the most current version of iTunes (10.6.3) unless there is some other issue.

"These errors typically occur when security software interferes with the restore and update process. FollowTroubleshooting security software issues to resolve this issue. In rare cases, these errors may be a hardware issue. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service."
Do you run any anti-virus or third-party firewalls on your computer? Try disabling them and trying the restore process again. It may be possible that one of these security applications is interfering with the iPhone's ability to authenticate with Apple's servers. -

What you've outlined in this part of the post is all that icloud stores for you outside of the backup. If you want to restore from the icloud backup you will then have for all practical purposes a carbon restoration back to your device if you restore from the icloud backup.
