How do I install Reader Version 8 and Version 11 on the same computer?

I have old fillable forms that will not work with the free reader above vesion 8. I also have programs that require the free reader version or above. I am trying to get both the free reader versions 8 and 11 on the same computer. When I installed version 11, version 8 was removed. When I tried to reinstall version 8 the message said I had a more up to date version and the install stopped. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the suggestion, it worked! What I had to do was after steps 1 & 2
3. move the entire Version 8 folder to a flash drive
4. reinstall Version 11
5. add a new folder called Adobe 8 to the program file directory
6. copy Version 8 folder from flash drive file to new folder
7. add shortcut to desktop.
Now I can open my old forms in Version 8 and edit and save them.

My computer became corrupted, and I reinstalled windows, only to find my iphone will no longer sync with the same computer. How do I sync my phone and tones to the same computer without losing everything?

This is my first time using this forum, and I apologize if my post isn't "normal" or if my question is too long. My old acer computer had become corrupted and I had to reinstall my copy of windows. When I tried to sync a new ringtone to my iphone, which was only ever synced to this same computer, I was prompted to delete everything I had so I could install one ringtone. That does not sound ideal, and I refuse to delete everything I've put on my phone and my data to sync to itunes. There has to be another way to show my phone that this is the same computer. So I do not have to go through the hassle of doing everything again. I could not find an answer in the forums, and hope you can help me. This is pretty close to being a deal breaker for me. I'm beyond frustrated with this policy.
I don't believe it matters, but I'm running the latest version of itunes, as of today, and I have an iPhone 4 CDMA iOS 7.4.

I have a few games with quite a few hours invested, and I worry that I'll lose the progress I have as they do not save to the cloud. I may have to bite the bullet, and just take the plunge to resolve this. I just want a way to easily transfer my "Home Computer" for my iPhone. My laptop is years old and in need of being replaced, and it's about time to upgrade my phone. These life events piling up are making me consider switching to a friendlier OS. I'm not using this as a threat. I just hope some apple high up will read this, and realize that we need alternatives. Life happens.
Thank you both Paul and Lawrence. I clicked "This helped me" not knowing it would remove the option to choose "This fixed my problem" too. For anyone else reading this thread. Using the guide provided has done both. It has helped me and given me a fix to my current problem. Lawrence has also provided me with the last bit of information I feel is missing from wjosten's guide. That syncing will completely erase all of your data and reinstall it in one fell swoop. It's a great fix. Even if it isn't the exact one I wanted. Thank you again!

Installing VS Ultimate and Community on the same computer

I use VS Ultimate for work and would like to use VS Community for my own side projects. If I install community first, Ultimate seems to overwrite it. If I install Ultimate first, the Community installer says to first uninstall Ultimate.

I came to this forum with exactly the same scenario:
VS 2010 Ultimate on Win8.1, looking to replace this with VS 2013 Community.
I'd like confirmation that the situation has not changed and that we must uninstall VS2010 before installing VS2013 Community.
I'm concerned about "residue" being left over from an uninstall - files, registry keys, etc. Is there any documentation for doing a complete wipe of VS2010 before a new version?
I have licensed addins for VS 2010 and uninstalling will cause these to deactivate. So this is a big deal. Vendors are saying their addins "should" work with VS2013 Community so I'm ready to make the jump. But if I uninstall 2010 and then have
issues with 2013 I can't go back. Where if these release could co-exist then I could both as required until I could do a cut-over.
The only reason I'm changing (and I feel like this is a sort of downgrade of features to an upgraded release) is that I need to use async code, but it's my understanding that this absolutely will not work with VS2010. Can anyone double-confirm that please?
I need to make sure I'm doing this for a good reason.

Can I install SoaSuite 10 AND 11 on the same computer?

Both can coexist in the same box.
SOA 11g uses the sh/cmd scripts for PATH & CLASSPATH environment variables, so there should not be any issues as such.

How can I use both Lion and Leopard on the same computer?

I have installed Lion and can't recover documents created by Canvas 9, a PPC app. Can I create a partition to run Leopard, so that I can use PPC apps?

My mid-2010 iMac 27" i3 came with Snow Leopard. My internal hard drive is partitoned into 3 parts - one boot volume for Snow Leopard (10.6.7); one boot volume for Lion; another boot volume for Lion. The two Lion partitions were added to the internal drive without erasing the initial install of Snow Leopard.
I also have an external firewire drive which is partitioned into three volumes: one with a clone of the primary's Snow Leopard 10.6.7; one with Snow Leopard 10.6.8 (built on another clone of the primary); and one used for GP file storage.
That gives me three bootable volumes for Snow Leopard (two of 10.6.7, and one of 10.6.8) and two bootable volumes for Lion. All of those are, in fact bootable - they have all been tested for that by booting to them.
Booting to a different valid OS on a different volume is as easy as going to System Preferences > Startup Disk and then selecting the OS/volume one would like to use on the next restart. Then just restart.
The choice can also be made at booting - as soon as the startup chimes sound, hold down the Option key to bring up Startup Manager. In that screen select the boot volume of choice.

It's great that you're learning ColdFusion, you can install ColdFusion without uninstalling XAMPP. You can select the built in port to install ColdFusion which is default 8500 incase this port is already in use it can detect the next available port. Once you will install ColdFusion you can use ColdFusion webroot to render cfm pages.

if you have two hard drives the easiest might be to install panther on the second hard drive. this way you don't have top partition anything. make sure the drive is properly formatted it should be formatted mac os extended journaled with APM partition scheme. then just boot from the Panther install disk and install panther on the second drive. note that this will only work if your mac originally came with panther. did it?
to switch between installs you can change the startup disk in system preferences->startup disk. then reboot. alternatively, reboot normally and hold option at the chime. this will boot you into startup disk manager where you can choose which drive to boot from.

So we just got a new computer and I was able to successfully add my iPod/library to it. However when I tried to add my husbands iPod/library to the computer his library didn't show up. He is ony able to charge his iPod but cannot see his library. I tried adding another account/admin to my computer and download itunes with his ipod that way but it said there was another library and it couldn't access his library song list. His ipod is showing up on the left side however when I click on it there is nothing displaying. So my question to you or what I am trying to figure out is how can I get his ipod to show up with his library if he plugs in his ipod? Do I need to create a new account and if so how do I do it? I have a windows computer. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to do this? He is going crazy not being able to access anything.

Yes, you can. On my laptop, in a virtual machine with Oracle Linux 5, I have 10g, 11g and XE.
BTW, 11g includes Sql Developer by default...

As Sunil explained - MCOD (or) you can think to have 2 differnt DB SID's as weel 2 different SAP SID's. By default 1st Installation takes Listener Name as LISTENER & port 1527 when you are doing second Oracle installation use another lister name as LISTENER002 & give port 1526 ( for example).
MCOD will be the best option to unplug from oracle instalation requirement but - think of future plans. even it can be any size business don't think to do MCOD with SAP Business System like R3 .
Becuase qwe may have different requirements from the Business / functionla Team for refreshing / building the development system with a copy of production system - don;t get confused there are Techniques for Refreshing a Development Instance with production system also.
Any how you have to take decission to go with MCOD (or) not . I also request SUNIL to comment on MCOD installations with R3 system .
But I beleive Sascha Version is wrong - i can have multiple application servers of differnet products on single Box if my OS supports.
as application servers will have 3 individual mount point which points to different system

You will see from the hardware spec that the latest version of FCP X requires Mavericks.
The Mavericks spec shows you can upgrade to Mavericks on your Mac Pro.
Ensure you have a bucket full of RAM installed.

I know you can install both of them together on one computer. I had a document specifying the steps, but cannot find it now. The problem is that you cannot create a new 2004 company or upgrade your 2004 version.
