How do I install the Apple device driver on my laptop?

My iPhone 4 is stuck on the "connect to iTunes" screen and won't enter recovery mode after trying to update my phone to iOS 7.0.2. My laptop "can't find a device driver" and iTunes won't detect my phone at all, neither will my laptop. I need help with this problem. I have tried uninstalling the orginal device driver and I can't find a device driver downoad on Apple's website to replace it, so now I have no driver whatsoever. I have "held the home button down for about 15 seconds" whilst the phone was on and again while it was off. Is this a problem many people are having?
Many thanks, Joe

Hi there Joe Foxwell,

I cannot sync my iPad 2 with the latest iTunes

Apple Device Support is installed as part of iTunes.
Why do you suspect it is not installed?
What is the problem that is occurring along with the precise text of any error messages?

how do i install the apple tv icon to my late 2010 mac air?   im unable to use my laptop to view videos or others on my apple tv

If you are referring to AirPlay Mirroring, it requires OS X Mountain Lion or Mavericks and a Mid 2011 or newer MacBook Air, so you cannot use it and you will not see the AirPlay icon. See > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5404
Instead, you can use an application like AirParrot to mirror your Mac's display onto your Apple TV, so you can watch videos and show your Mac on the Apple TV

  • How to install the pseduo device driver?

I downloaded one package to produce high resolution delay ( similar to sleep() ).
Here is the comment text in main file:
    Written by Jon Zeeff umix!b-tech!zeeff
This "device driver" uses the kernel delay() call to allow calls
to nap() from user processes. Nap() is like sleep, but with finer
    resolution.
    Compile with cc -O -c ft.c
Written for a Sys V.3 system, but should work on others.
    For Sys V.3:
Make a new kernel according to the instructions and then:
    mknod /dev/ft c 28 0
    modules/ft/config:
    character(28)
    prefix = ft
    functions = open, close, read
    Edit systems/system.std and add ft.
    Copy ft.o to modules/ft/config
But, where is " modules " directory ? and where is system/system.std ??
    thanks.

Select your product > Select your model >  Option 2: Go directly to the software and driver results > Driver-Keyboard, Mouse and Input Devices > Synaptics TouchPad Driver
You should be able to download and reinstall the driver.

  • How can I install the apple app store on my computer

I bouth this computer from a friend, when I brought it home I notice I dont have the App store installed, any way I can do this?

You need to contact Apple, 1-800-MY-APPLE, and order OS X Snow Leopard 1.6 and install it upon your Mac. Then download and install the 10.6.8 update combo to have a Mac App Store.

  • How do I install the "ojdbc14.jar" driver?

    Hi...
I want to start with JDBC APIs. I have downloaded the Oracle driver "ojdbc14.jar". I don't know where to keep this driver and what all settings need to be done.
    Can any one help?
    Thanks...

Are you by any chance new to Java?
If not, then where you put the jar depends on the type of application you are building.
For example, I build a lot of web applications which are deployed as WAR files to an app server. In this case, I usually put the ojdbc.jar in the WEB-INF/lib. You can also put the jar in common/lib of the app server so that all apps have access to it.
Use of the system environment variable CLASSPATH is not used so much anymore with recent JDKs.
If you are new to Java then I recommend choosing a decent IDE (Eclipse/NetBeans/JDeveloper are the main free ones) and going through the Java tutorial. It has a section on using JDBC.
    Hope that helps,
    Rakesh

  • How do I install the Windows OS on my new laptop?

I just got a new G580. I received the unit in a sealed box, untouched. Starting it up at home it goes into what I'd call a 'command' screen where I am requested change the date and then time of the machine. Pressing enter it next goes to " C:\> " and will not accept anything such as 'run' or 'setup' . I've popped in the CD that came with it and restarted the unit but still the same " C:\>" Obviously I need to tell the darn thing something to start the boot-up process, but this is a first for me...newbe...  and no idea what. (The shop is closed and I can only get hold of them tomorrow) Any suggestions. Any suggestions please?

Thanks a stack NINE! Windows is obviously not preinstalled and I'd need to go get that sorted. Glad I found the Lenovo community!

  • How to Make Sure that the Apple Device and Printer are on the same Network

Depending  on when one looks on this page, one can find members posting about issues with AirPrint or not being able to find the printer to use AirPrint. The first Item that people are told to check is the Apple Device’s settings. Sometimes the person giving instructions breaks down what to check and how to check and sometimes they do not.  Below is a video that walks one through how to print a network configuration page, what information they need to pull from that report and how to then access the Apple devices’ settings and put the device on the same network as the printer.  It then walks one through printing to the printer using the AirPrint feature.

  • How do I re-install the apple USB mobile device driver once it has been deleted?

    Hi,
I was having issues getting my Itunes to recognize my Iphone 4s so I followed the apple support instructions here: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows and it said to delete the driver software (Step 2 of Reinstall the Apple Mobile Device Driver). After I did that I have been unable to get any of the steps that follow to work. Is there any place that I can download the Apple mobile device USB Driver software? I have tried numerous things including re-installing Itunes multiple times but this does not appear to reinstall the driver software. Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Try these steps:
In the Device Manager window, right-click "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and choose "Scan for hardware changes" from the shortcut menu.
Locate the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver in this list. If the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is not listed, continue to step 3.
Expand all the sections labeled below (not all sections may be listed):
    Imaging Devices
    Other Devices
    Portable Devices
    Universal Serial Bus Controllers
Look for the entry that recognizes the device as a camera. This entry should be called Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Apple iPod, or Unknown Device. (Verify the Unknown Device is the Apple Device by unplugging the device and scan for hardware changes again [Step 1] to see if it disappears.)
Right-click the Apple iPhone, Apple iPad, Apple iPod, or Unknown Device entry in Device Manager and choose Update Driver from the shortcut menu. (Verify the Unknown Device is the Apple Device by unplugging the device and scan for hardware changes again to see if it disappears.)
Click "Browse my computer for driver software."
Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer."
Click the Have Disk button. (If the Have Disk option is not present, choose a device category such as Mobile Phone or Storage Device if listed, and click next. The Have Disk button should then appear.)
In the "Install from Disk" dialog, click the Browse button.
Use this window to navigate to the following folder:
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
Double-click the "usbaapl" file. (This file will be called "usbaapl64" if you have a 64-bit version of Windows. If you don't see "usbaapl64" here, or if there is no Drivers folder, look in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers. instead).
Click OK in the "Install from Disk" dialog.
Click Next and finish the driver-installation steps. Open iTunes to verify that the device is recognized properly.

  • Where can I buy a larger hard drive for my late 2008, 15" macbook pro?  From reviewing questions and answers on the support community it would appear that having Apple remove the old and install the new hard drive is recommended.  But how/where?

Where can I buy a larger hard drive for my late 2008, 15" macbook pro?  From reviewing questions and answers on the support community it would appear that having Apple remove the old and install the new hard drive is recommended.  But how/where?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
You can install the new hard disk yourself if you want to. You just need a 2'5" SATA II hard drive, which is compatible with your MacBook Pro. You can buy one at OWC > http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/hard-drives/2.5-Notebook/ You can filter hard drives by computer, so press a "Click to view all...", choose your computer in the sidebar and it will give you the compatible hard drives.
There are different brands for the MacBook Pro. The most recommended are HGST and Seagate, which have good reputation. A 7200 rpm hard drive will give you extra performance
