How do I install the avg security toolbar into Firefox?

I installed IE10 on my new desktop (HP W7 Ultimate 32 & 64 bit), downloaded AVG free and selected the option to include the AVG Security Toolbar--everything was installed. I then downloaded Firefox 22.0 but found no option to install the AVG Security Toolbar. How do I install the AVG Security Toolbar in my existing Firefox browser? Thank you. jav1, 7/10/2013
Why would you want the AVG toolbar? It has a tendency to be buggy and all it's "features" are included in browsers already.
If you really want it, get it at http://www.avg.com/us-en/secure-search (please note AVG toolbar is a third-party program and AVG provides support for it, not us)

Start Firefox in Safe Mode. Go to the Addon's and Remove the PropertyBee toolbar completely. Restart Firefox. If this doesn't work, uninstall Firefox and re-install it from a new download.
3rd party Toolbars are generally bad in my experience. Most of them try to load more toolbars and other unwanted software, so they are just not worth it. You might have to have a few tabs open and reload a few pages instead. -

Which IE settings need to be changed? While Firefox doesn't have the same approach to security (e.g., by "zone") there may be some parallels.

i'm running10.8.5. I have tried to install a programme but can't because it is from an unidentified developer. the box says-Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers.how do i install the programme

Have you gotten what you need to run the AVG Secure Search Toolbar?
When your notice first popped up asking me if I wanted to upgrade, it stated with it that it did not yet have the ability to run the AVG Secure Search Toolbar. So I have been waiting to download the new version until you have that feature.
Sorry but you will be waiting a long time for FF to have that feature! It's an AVG problem not Firefox. You don't say which version of AVG you are using but if you upgrade to AVG 2012 your problem is solved.

How can I install the Flash Debug Player in Internet Explorer 10?
I just downloaded the Flash Debug Player 11.4.402.287 from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/updaters/11/flashplayer_11_ax_debug.exe - however, trying to install it merely shows a message box saying
The installation encountered errors: Your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser includes the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player built-in. Windows Update will inform you when new versions of the Flash Player are available.
I'm using Internet Explorer 10.0.9200.16384 on Windows 8. A bit of Google research suggested that IE10 has a Flash player built-in (similiar to what Google Chrome has) so I looked for a way to disable the player. It seems that this is indeed possible by clicking the Cogwheel icon in the IE10 toolbar and then selecting 'Manage Add-ons'. The dialog which shows up shows a 'Shockwave Flash Object' entry. However, even with the built-in Flash player disabled, the Flash Debug Player installer keeps giving the same message.

I am running OSX 10.6.8 and when I try to install the latest security update there is an unknown error and the update cannot be implemented. I still have to restart my computer each time I try. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I tried using the downloaded update. It still didn't work but at least I did not have to restart my computer. The message was a little different too: "The installation failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."Run through this list of fixes, either something is corrupted or you have malware that's blocking the update.

I let my system download and install the latest security update for Safari yesterday, 28 Apr 14, and when it rebooted, it wouldn't let me login. Instead it took me to a utilities windown that allowed me to verify my h/d then told me it couldn't be repaired so I would need to save all of my documents (not sure how since it won't boot up) and reinstall OS X. Help!

if you’ve been making regular backups to date, then you could just restore from the last update which you’d made before installing the most recent Safari update. If you haven’t been making regular backups to date, you can try the method provided on this Apple page, in the “Instructions for backing up to an external hard disk via Disk Utility” section. If you’re not already making regular backups, then I’d highly recommend purchasing an external disk for use as a Time Machine backup destination once you’ve gotten this resolved, so that this sort of problem would be more easily resolved in the future. -

What happened to the F-Security Toolbar and Google results check?
The previous version of Firefox allowed F-Secure to activate a toolbar for checking websites and reporting suspicious ones. Also, it allowed F-Secure to rate google search results in terms of their safety to visit. These features do not seem to work in Firefox 4. Is there a way to fix these problems and if not how could I roll back to my previous version of Firefox?
Thanksfor a certain reason the F-Secure toolbar suddenly works with Firefox 4 on my PC. I donk't now why, but it suddenly works today. the last days i've had the same problem as alex45. Maybe it now functions with you new firefox 4 browser, too. It's very strange, because there was not an update for the new browser, at least I've had not noticed any updates. Maybe it's F-Secure with its automatically update?
