Hello Slm7531
Check to make sure that your that you do not have anything that would be blocking access to the iTunes store like a firewall or security software. The second article below will assist with troubleshooting accessing the iTunes Store.

My ipod touch is disabled, i installed the latest version of itunes, but cant figure out how to restore the ipod, can anyone help?
If you run into the "another installation" message even after the reboot of the PC (which is an excellent idea by HTP ProXy), reregistering your Windows Installer Service is worth a try.
First, launch a command prompt as an administrator. In your Start search, type cmd then right-click on the cmd that comes up and select "Run as administrator".
At the command prompt:
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister and hit enter.
Type %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Type %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver and hit enter.
Restart the PC and try another reinstalll. -

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

How do I sync my 3rd gen ipod touch after installing the latest version of itunes?
How do I sync my 3rd gen ipod touch after installing the latest version of itunes?
Correction: Thank you FoxFifth for the good information. I did find this information earlier before landing here in the support community. I have come to the end and I am uncertain about trying to reset my I-pod touch to the factory settings. I was satisfied with the older version of i-tunes. Can someone direct me how to downgrade i-tunes perhaps?

I just installed the latest version of iTunes to get the updates and new software on my iPod but it hasn't updated my iPod or put any of the new software on there either. How to I get the software to sync onto my iPod?
Are you sure it's not 6.1.6? If it is, that is the latest iOS version that will work on a 4th generation iPod Touch. Later versions require a 5G iPod which has twice as much RAM.

I'm trying to install the latest version of iTunes and the pop up tells me that I need to install Mac OS X 10.5. How do I do that?
OS 10.5.x is the max OS for Macs with a PowerPC processor. If your iMac has an Intel processor you can upgrade to Snow Leopard OS 10.6.x and possibly Lion OS 10.7
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard installation system requirements
http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24950
Leopard is no longer available at the Apple Store but may be available by calling Apple Phone Sales @ 1-800-MY-APPLE (1-800-692-7753).
If you can't obtain a retail install DVD from Apple, look on eBay or Google the installer part numbers to possibly find at an on-line store. Here's what to look for:
MB427Z/A Leopard 10.5.1 install DVD
MB576Z/A Leopard 10.5.4 install DVD
MB021Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (single user)
MB022Z/A Leopard 10.5.6 install DVD (5-user family pack)

Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard Installation and Setup Guide

After you install the base 10.5, download & install the 10.5.8 combo update at http://support.apple.com/downloads/Mac_OS_X_10_5_8_Combo_Update
The DVD should look like this
Caution - Leopard does not support classic mode. So, if you currently open OS 9 apps in classic mode, you won't be able to do this if you upgrade to Leopard.

HT1349 I installed the latest version of iTunes. Now I cannot find FM radio stations.
Before I installed the latest version of iTunes I had hundreds of FM radio stations to choose from in every genre of music. Now the Radio tab takes me to 7 or 8 albums. I searched for FM radio stations, but just got more albums that cost to listen to. Some are free, but I am interested in listening to radio stations. How can I get back the list of radio stations?
I do not have any Apple hardware, iPad, SmartPhone etc. I just have a windows desktop computer (Pentium 4). Although I have an Apple ID and password I am not sure what Apple is or how it functions.
I downloaded a lot of classical music in my ITunes library, but opening them does not help in bringing up FM radio stations. Can you please tell how to find the FM radio stations?
Thank you very much,
Best,

I am unable to install the latest version of iTunes on window xp?
I am unable to install the latest version of iTunes on window xp. I get "The application has failede to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
This may be all we know, but the new discussions keep coming in, so I repaet my post of this evening:
With all the discussion about problems with iTunes 11 for Windows, there is also now the problem of downloading the 11 install file at all. On 2 diff computers today, I have tried to download installer and it gets to "save file" then when clicked simply disappears. Nice magic trick, but not helpful to a long-time (and mostly happy til now) user of iTunes on Windows. If there are such serious problems with the installation and function of this "new" version, what the hex is Apple doing? A new corrected release? When? why all this mess wirth a program that has always worked? How about some answers Apple? -

I installed the latest version of iTunes but when I went to sync my iPod I got error message -50 and my iPod would not sync. I tried re-installing the most recent version of iTunes but this made no difference. I then tried installing an old version of iTunes but it would not install. I am furious because I bought music via iTunes store and I cannot get it to load onto my iPod. Can anyone help? Or can anyone give me a direct email address for iTunes support? I have been going round and round on Apple's stupid website and cannot find any help or an email address.
Quit iTunes, reboot your PC, restart the iPad and then try again.
Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
