Ok, it should be there. Go to settings - main menu to check it hasn't been hidden. Also check parental controls and see that location has been set correctly.
Make sure Apple TV is up to date (latest firmware is 7.0). DNS should be set to auto (settings - general - network).

How can I install the proper App Store app to complete my upgrade?

I have Snow Leopard (10.6.8) installed on my iMac 27 (late 2010) but the app store app is not supported on this version. How can I get the proper app store app for SLP? My goal is to get back to Maverick.
I was running Maverick just fine but ran out of disk space. I had Best Buy install a Seagate 3TB drive. I reinstalled OS X 10.6.4 from my Install Disk. Then I upgraded the "software upgrades" to get 10.6.8. Somehow I upgraded the App Store app to a version that is not supported on my current version of 10.6.8.
I appear to be stuck. Unable to go to App Store to down load Maverick.
Also, with the new Seagate 3TB drive, the fan runs continuously. Any ideas how I can move forward?

Regarding your fan issue I believe I am correct in assuming BBY did not install the correct HD. My suggestion is to first do several SMC resets which are designed to help with running fans, carefully read http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964. for information on what a SMC reset addresses. You can find instructions for doing the SMC resets in https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3603. A SMC reset will ONLY help if the correct HD was installed though.
If the reset does not fix the issue then return the machine to BBY, inquire if the drive they use has heat sensors integrated into the HD they installed and if not then get them to install the correct HD to address the issue.

He has deleted some of the apps that were installed by the factory and I would like to re-install them but I do not have the CD that came with the iMac.

I would recommend just grabbing this disc from the Apple Store. You shouldn't need the original system disc, as this will get you the mac app store to get the iLIfe programs etc. It's advantageous to have an OS X disc for your iMac as you do not have the recovery partition that modern macs have. In addition to installing Snow Leopard, you can use this disc to do health checks on your boot partition etc.

By 'desktop' do you mean your iPad's homescreen or a desktop computer ?
If your iPad then try closing the App Store app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the App Store app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the AppStore app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.

Make a clone of the entire volume using Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. After you have installed the new OS, simply migrate everything you need.

One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Application Server 10g ver 10.2.0 (infra and middle) -- Midel-tier
One computer with XP OS -- Client tier
Could any one explain me how to install it?
