How do I integrate a muse mobile site to an existing (non muse) web site

Is it possible to create a mobile or a tablet (or both) site in muse and integrate the code to the HEAD section of an existing (non muse) site in order to re-direct on each appropriate device?
I have a client who has an established website which he is happy with but wants to add mobile functionality.

My page is loaded into a palcehold within the Ajax update panel within the current Masterpage, so page loadload doesn't occur. But if my Muse page can capture the partial pageload then I can tell jquery to run the Muse formating routine.

Jackie, I am having the same issue and agree that it obscures our site analytics.
I only have the "WebMarketing" subscription - so I cannot see how often people visit my site (unless I just dont know how to view that). Here is a screen shot of how many different locations I have and how much it affects my site visitor count based on the other locations which seem "legit" because they have more page views than visits.
I hope there is a way to fix or block this.

Adding an e-Commerce template to existing BC online web site?

Has anyone out there started with a Muse design, and after completeing it, then did add an ecommerce template?
There are many ways to get to the mountian... I don't see a path yet.
Conern is for menu integration with the existing client content/web site (created in Muse) and eCommerce Template.
Is this integration possible? Key question.
If so though what interface: BC, Muse, Dreamweaver, Other?
In other words:

It appears to me that going from a Muse Content created site on BC, to having that same BC site augmented with e-commerce, needs to be done in the BC on line interface versus Dreamweaver or Muse.
Perhaps it is a matter of order.... template first but then how to use MUSE to do the front end...
????? I must be missing some simple concept here....

How do you stop the flash player when you change pages on a web site

Hi all;
I'm building a website in flash using my limited understanding of action script. Everything was progressing very well until I found that if I go to one of my example pages of my web site and play the flash video (with audio) and click back to my "home" button, the audio will continue to play. If I go back to the example page, the video is off and when I start the video, it plays again with the other audio. I hear the audio twice! I know there is an action script to handle this but, I can't figure it out.
My question is, How do I stop the audio when I click away from the example page back to the home page or any other page?

The problem is most likely in your Action Script. Therefore this question should be posted in the Action Script forum. This forum only deals with the Flash Player, which, in this case is running the script as it is written, and therefore, working properly.

How do I configure Firefox to automatically open the latest version of a web site instead of a cache version

I can not work out how to set Firefox to automatically load the latest version of a web site. I have web sites in my bookmarks and it does not look on the internet for the latest version and furthermore using F5 does not work . I need to be able to find a way to have it auto set to look for the latest version live on the internet.

How to password protect non .mac web site

does anyone have step-by-step directions on how to make my web page password protected on a non .mac web space?
for example, http://www.yoursite.net/~userid
My internet service provider does not support web page creation, they just provide the space.
The only thing they said was the path to my directory is /rmgrazi/public_html/ and I should create my index.html file inside the public folder. I've tried creating and uploading a .htaccess file in the public folder, and then putting a .htpasswd file in my root directory /rmgrazi/
This doesn't seem to work. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

My .htaccess file is located in /rmgrazi/public_html/ (yes, I put it inside the public folder in order to password protect my whole site).
By the way I'm using TextEdit in OS X, so when I upload the original file with Fetch, it looks like htaccess.txt -- after it's uploaded (as text, not binary of course) then I simply change the name to .htaccess
My .htaccess file includes the following:
AuthUserFile /rmgrazi/.htpasswd
AuthName Members Area
AuthType Basic
Require valid-user
Then I uploaded the .htpasswd one level up to /rmgrazi/ like it says in .htaccess.
The text in this file is just one line with my username:password (the password is written in code). I found a website that does this automatically. Then I just cut & paste it in apple+v
I tried using the Terminal application in OS X panther to see if the server path needs to be longer -- I logged into my ftp.hickorytech.net and entered "pwd" -- that command is supposed to show the server path. /rmgrazi/public_html/ are the only folders I can see. "/" is as far back as it will show.
In Fetch I can change the permissions for .htaccess and .htpasswd by clicking Get Info -- I tried all different combinations, 644, 711, etc... Maybe my permissions are set wrong?

How should i get? Using Web service / object model?
Web service would return the dataset as a result so from that how could i form the directory structure using Treeview control.
I will select specified files and folders then i ll update sharepoint document library columns for corresponding selected files.

Thanks a lot for your reply. When using Design Manager package of SP2013, it is working and coping the master/layout pages. But the design of Default.aspx are gone - which were done using Content Editor Webpart. Not sure how to copy the page with content.
BTW - Export/Import does not work, when opening the new site after import- says - something went wrong and show nothing.
When trying to import with
import-spweb -identity http://mysite/mysubsite -path D:\subsitebackup\mysubsitebackup.cmp these two errors are in log file:

How do I resize a photo to attach it to someone else's web site

I want to add photo attachments to someone else's web site. my files are raw, off the camera i.e. big. I can easily resize if I email. but why can't find an easy way to downsize in iPhoto? what should I do?

The image you're viewing in iPhoto are jpeg versions of the RAW files. So all you need to do is drag it to the desktop and you will get a jpeg file of around 2-3 MBs depending on the RAW file size.
Or you can export as leonieDF has suggested while setting the compression level (Quality) and maximum pixel dimension to get the image and file size you need.

How to nest a WCF service into a virtual directory off the Default Web Site

I have a service called PdfCreator. I want it installed on my servers in this directory for QA: "Default Web Site/QA/PdfCreator/PdfCreator.svc". I want it installed in this directory for DEV: "Default Web Site/DEV/PdfCreator/PdfCreator.svc".
If I specify QA/PdfCreator in the project's "Web service virtual directory name" field PB complains about invalid characters (the "/"). Is there any way to get around this? The only work around I can think of is adding "qa" or "dev" as a suffix/prefix to the virtual directory name ("Default Web Site/QAPdfCreator/PdfCreator.svc") which doesn't really give me what I want.
This isn't a big deal with only a few services but could become one as more are created.

Antonio, Thanks! That seems to have worked for Safari. However, we like Firefox too, and I tried to set that up the same way, but was told "can't find a manifest for that app". I wonder if I can copy the Safari list then alter and rename it?

How do I get Elements 11 to download part 2 from the Adobe web site?

I purchased an upgrade from the Adobe web site to take my Photoshop Elements form 9 to 11. I could not find any instructions, so I decided to download the alternate method consisting of two parts. I got part one downloaded. Then I tried to download part two. The download no longer did anything. I noticed on the bottom of the screen where the part one progress bar had been, there was now a note that said there were local updates to be done. I said OK and the updates ran as four parts. When they were done, I again tried to download part two. Nothing. I then decided to try the Akamai (sp?) Download manager program. It would not download either. Should I wipe out part one and start over? Or, is there another solution? I am using Windows 7. Thank you.

How to keep old session id when a new session is created in web site

I have a question about HttpSession in a Struts framework based project development.
I have a web page "a.jsp" in public site (no need login) which can navigate to other pages/links. There is a button on "a.jsp" to popup a new window "pop.jsp" and create a session (session1). Usually, when I navigate to other pages/links from "a.jsp", it doesn't affect this "pop.jsp" and its session1. However, if I try to goto a secure site - a login page "login.jsp" from "a.jsp", since the "login.jsp" needs to kill current session before the login, the current session1 within the "pop.jsp" is killed at that time. When I go back to "pop.jsp", it will create a new session2 and the original session1 attributes does not exist any more. Therefore, I need to save the session1 id in somewhere to compare it with new session2 id when session is changed, and display some message in "pop.jsp".
Do anyone know how/where to keep session1 id? Any sample/suggestion would be appreciated.

How to stream images stored in an external server in to a Flash Web Site?

I would like to be able to bring in external images in a banner like in a slideshow, but not sure how to do it. I have a bunch of small images that I would like it to go through, and my current banner has all the images in the swf and the swf file is huge. Is there a way to import external images from a folder on the server? Where can I go to learn how to do this? Thanks....

Your best bet for this would be to search Google using search terms like "AS3 slideshow tutorial" or "AS3 dynamic slideshow turoial". THis assumes you are designing an AS3 file. If not, substitiute AS2 for AS3 in the terms.
In AS3, one of the main classes used for loading external images is the Loader class. SO becoming familiar with that will be a necessary part of the learning. But that is not all since you want to have controls for displaying the images.
One thing I noticed with the banner you show, the images would not seem to need to be any "huge" burden as far as file goes. You should optimize all images before you import them into the file.
Still, having the images loading from an external supply will be better because then you can change the images as you wish without having to edit the Flash file. To realize this capability you should include "XML" with the rest of the search terms previously identified.

How do I get firefox to let me access my email and favorite web sites?

Firefox freezes up every other time I log into my gmail account. I also can't see my home page (wall) on facebook. There several games I an unable to keep access to as well, one of which is on facebook. I have tried reloading firefox 3 times. After the last reload every time I open firefox I get the welcome page and it sets firefox as my home page (which it won't let me change to google).

How long were you running Firefox before it started misbehaving?
Usually reinstalling or uninstalling/installing Firefox will only cure a small number of issues, primarily issues with corrupted program files. The reason is that most Firefox issues are caused by stuff in your personal settings folder.
But don't delete all your personal settings. Instead, try the Reset feature. This duplicates certain key data from your active settings folder into a new one, bypassing some add-ons and custom settings. Your old settings folder will be relocated to your desktop as Old Firefox Settings, in case you need to rescue anything from it after the reset.
