  • How do go back to my default display color settings?  Just bought Spyder 3

Hello out there in Genius land...
I just purchased Spyder 3 Pro to calibrate my display monitor, but in order to do this correctly, I need to go back to my default color display settings.
I have manually calibrated my display several times in the past in the advanced mode, so I am familiar with this process, but I am unable to figure out how to go back to the default. Can't find a default option in the color settings tab.
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anneita

Thank you for your quick response.
I just checked mine since I never changed it. It shows I have two default color >displays - Color LCD.
When I select either one, the "Delete Profile" button is grayed out. This would >indicate to me that you should also still have your "default" color profile >showing.
    Hmmmm....
Good point about the grayed out "Delete Profile" button. I went back into my "Color" tab to check it out, and I have 4 different profiles listed:
    - 12-30-10
    - 7/29/08
    - Color LCD
    - Color NTSC (19530 Calibrated
When I click on each of them, they show a totally different display color.
The only one that the "Delete Profile" button is not grayed out is 12-30-10, which I made on that date. The other 3 delete buttons are grayed out. But I am thinking that my actual default may be the one that says "Color LCD" like yours.
Is that safe to assume? What do you think?
    Thanks,

  • How to make a VGA monitor vertically display under an Intel GMA950?

I have a Philips LCD Monitor (200WS8) attached to my thinkpad X41, and wanna use it vertically to display content while the internal screen of X41 have a normal display. But without success, the Philips LCD can get rotate 90 degree clockwise but poor freshrate , which seems that every operation (such as scroll in firefox) in display is really slow, and annoying font display.....
    I use this command:
    xrandr --output VGA --rotate right
Then I test the internal screen of X41 with the command of "xrandr  --output LVDS --rotate right" and got almost the same result....
Is it possilble to make a vertically display on an Intel card...or... this feature is depended on LCD?

All right,I have set up my Philips LCD vertical display content with normal built in screen... need playing with xrandr & xorg.conf more then....
one question, intel driver in linux support vertical screen?

  • Select which monitor to display on

How do I select which monitor to display on.
Click on video from MSN.com...Flash "delivers" video to the
    other monitor (dual monitor system).
I do not want this...I want to show video only on the source

I downloaded and installed the latest Flash software...until
I did this, Flash displayed as expected.

Are you referring to pop up windows that have flash content
    displayed
inside of them? If so, sometimes you can't "force" it to
    display on a
particular monitor. Using javascript the website can dictate
    what the
(x,y) coordinates are for the window to open at which MAY be
    the problem.
Please elaborate where you are experiencing this problem, in
    the Flash
    IDE or in your browser.

  • My screen is in gamma display, how do i turn it back to normal colors?

My screen has changed to gamma mode. How do i change it back to display colors normlly?

Yes, you probably have the tripple-click Home button option off.
Just visit the Accessibility pane under General settings (as described by King_Penguin above) and choose to assign what you need for your tripple click command, in this case toggling the black & white option.
You can also tell it to 'ask' you what you want from that command each time.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to setup Cintiq 12wx along with dual monitors (3 displays total)

I’m considering purchasing a Wacom Cintiq 12wx.  I currently run the latest LR and Photoshop CS5 with two NEC P221W monitors (which I keep color-calibrated) on Windows 7, set up with my desktop extended across both displays.  They are both running at their native 1680 x 1050 resolution (and I want to keep them that way).  My video card is a GeForce 8800 GT.  Dell XPS 630i.
I want to run the 12wx (whose resolution is 1024 x 1280) in addition to the above setup.  The best advice I can find so far on the web is to get another (cheaper) NVidia card to run it.  Sounds right to me.  My question (assuming this is the way to go): how should/can the Windows desktop/monitor setup be configured to handle this?
    My desired Lightroom result is:
    * grid/develop view of image on my main NEC
    * image only on the second NEC (F11) – this is what I have so far
    * editable view of the image on the Cintiq
    My desired Photoshop result is:
    * editable image view only (well, mostly) on my main NEC
    * tool panels etc. on the second NEC (configured via Workspace) – this is what I have so far
    * editable view of the image on the Cintiq
Has anyone done this, if so how?  Also, I’m hoping I can color-calibrate the Cintiq as well as the two NECs, thoughts?
    Thanks.

Thank you Grant for the quick response. Well, it seems I don't know what I'm doing.
So, Mac Pro doesn't have any video INPUTS just Outputs. CHECK.
That is correct I have a six-input-port-selector with one input (SWITCH C2G). CHECK.
What I want is to be able to toggle through the inputs from the HDMI Switch C2G. That way I can use all my devices (Mac Pro, Xbox, PS3, Cable Box) with these monitors.
Since the Switch C2G only has one OUTPUT Slot, I'm thinking I just need to connect the monitors to the Switch C2G Output slot by using a 2 to 1 HDMI Adapter, but wouldn't I lose the true potential of these monitors by not connecting them directly to the Mac Pro?
Currently, I have the monitors hooked up with Thunderbolt/Mini Display Adapters to the Mac. So I guess I would just have to run just one HDMI with Thunderbolt/Mini Display from the Mac to the Switch C2G, and connect the other devices to the Switch as well.
    Jeez. Am I right?
What If I get an HDMI Switch with 2 Outputs instead of getting the 2 to 1 HDMI Adapter or perhaps a 4 to 2 Adapter. Heck. I'm not sure what to do here.
I would really appreciate anyones help.
    Thank you.

  • How to select my custom monitor calibration profile into Lightroom 5.7?  I used i1 Display Pro to calibrate my monitor, I could not find or confirm that Lightroom is using my custom monitor calibration profile? Thank you very much.

How to select my custom monitor calibration profile into Lightroom 5.7?  I used i1 Display Pro to calibrate my monitor, I could not find or confirm that Lightroom is using my custom monitor calibration profile? Thank you very much.

The monitor profile is set at system level. Lightroom will find it there and use it. You're not supposed to do anything, i1 Profiler will do it all for you.
Go here to confirm that the right profile is set as system default (Windows):

  • How best to calibrate monitor using Display Calibrator Assistant?

I have had my 20" iMac since January 2007, but have not yet calibrated the monitor which I understand is a good thing to do periodically. I would like to do this using the Display Calibrator Assistant available via Mac System Preferences.
My Internet research on this subject has uncovered some controversy on how to perform the calibration. For example, a preponderance of opinion seems to be that the Gamma setting should be 2.2 instead of the 1.8 recommended by Apple for Mac OS computers. There are also differing opinions on whether to use the Expert Mode when calibrating.
I would appreciate an authoritative response on how best to perform the monitor calibration. For your information my primary interest regarding calibration is making sure that colors are correct when I am viewing and editing photographic digital images that I store in iPhoto.

    Hey, Pete!
With my Nikon I can set the color space to either Adobe RGB or sRGB. Ken Rockwell (kenrockwell.com) is very knowledgeable in this area, and in his User's Guide for the D200, strongly advises the default sRGB setting unless the user really knows what he is doing with Adobe RGB and does his own printing. I don't agree with all of Mr. Rockwell's pronouncements, but on this issue I opted to follow his advice.
I don't find noise to be a significant issue with the D200 from ISO 100 through 1600.  Noise gets pretty bad at ISO 3200, but the Noise Ninja program is very helpful in reducing noise to acceptable levels. Noise is worse in underexposed areas, but on balance I still prefer underexposure--within reason--to overexposure.
I started out my use of the D200 shooting everything in RAW + JPEG (Large Normal Optimal Quality), but in most instances I didn't feel that RAW gave me noticeably better results than JPEG. Also, RAW images chew up a lot of hard drive space. I now shoot most stuff JPEG, but employ RAW in situations that might present a problem, like when shooting sporting events in school gymnasiums which typically have abominable lighting conditions. With RAW images white balance is easier to adjust than with JPEGs. On the Internet I have read a number of impassioned arguments in favor of RAW over JPEG, but I still consider RAW to be a digital image format and not a religion! Therefore, I don't fear consignment to hades as a penalty for shooting JPEGs!

  • How to connect an external monitor to macbook pro. The monitor has no usb connector without a usb

How to connect an external monitor to macbook pro. The monitor has no usb connecter, only a port.

Most MacBook Pro models have a Mini DVI port, a Mini DisplayPort or a ThunderBolt port for connecting an external display. USB does not have enough bandwidth to support a responsive display connection.
What model MacBook Pro do you have, by year, CPU speed or MacBook Pro 3.1 designation?

  • How can i use two monitors in my application?

    Hello,
    Background
I have a dual monitor card and two monitors which I want to use in my LabView application. The application gathers data from a complex sensor and calculates a number of results which need to be displayed graphically, this happens every 10 seconds or so. There is an awful lot of graphs which may be needed to be seen at some time but not routinely. The idea is that one monitor will display all the standard routinely displayed things and will not have any user input whilst the second monitor will display a tab control which has all the other graphs pickable.
    Question
What I want to know is how I can programmatically tell labVIEW to put one vi up in one monitor and another vi in the other. I would then have them both maximised (which I know how to do). I would rather have the monitors set up as individual and that way I could keep the windows control bar on one monitor only. Thus one monitor would be a true user interface and the other simply a display.
Basically how do I tell LabVIEW to use one monitor for a specific vi and not the other.
The card I have is a matrox p650. Any comments would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Kevin

    Hallo,
with new version of LV its more easy, but it also hasn't any troubles with LabVIEW 6.x or 7.x.
Especially with Matrox P650 you will get no any problems (we using
exactly this card together with G550 and our application supported
three monitors at the same time.).
I recommend to you following sequence:
    - After installing driver turn on option for supporting different
resoluton on different monitors. As result you will get two absolutely
    separate monitors.
    - In Windows define which one is primary and which one is secondary.
(On primary monitor located taskbar and all messages dialog boxes will
    appear.).
    - Arrange secondary monitor in display properties - where he located (left from primary, or right)
    - In your VI (which must appear on second monitor) use
FrontPanel.PanelBounds Property Node for positioning. You must set four
values for two corners. Easiest way to found right values is following:
read this property node in while loop and put indicator on front panel.
Then run VI, drag front panel onto second monitor and resize if
necessary, and then you will see right values for PanelBounds. You can
write this property node programmatically in run-time too.
    hope it help,
    good luck.

  • How do i set up a second display for my iMac desktop?  I want to use both displays at the same time.

how do i set up a second display for my iMac desktop?  I want to use both displays at the same time.  My iMac is the 24" Late 2006 model.  I recall that there is a cord for plugging in a second monitor, but I want to make sure that i can use both monitors side-by-side at the same time.  thank you.

If the Display supports DVI, then you will need a > Mini-DVI to DVI Adapter and a DVI cable.
If the Display only supports VGA, then you wiil need a > Mini DVI to VGA Adapter and a VGA cable.
Noting that the (digital) DVI is far better than the (analog) VGA connection.

Here are the specs for your HP ENVY TouchSmart 23se-d494 All-in-One Desktop Computer. Based the specs, the HDMI port on the side of your computer is an INPUT only. This model doesn't have a video output of any kind.
1 - Controls           2 - HDMI In port (model dependent)
You will need to purchase and use a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 (or any of the many other adapters on the market) to connect an external display to your computer. I personally use and recommend the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39.

  • How to use a second monitor in I movie 11

How can I use a second monitor in i movie.  I could use it under preference in imovie 9, but in the new imovie 11 i can't find any advanced  prefernces let alone how to use a second monitor

I too got the same. Both monitors went portrait. Then I unchecked the 'Mirror Display' option in the Arrangment tab of iMac display and voila. Got what I wanted.

  • How to use a secondary monitor in Portrait mode

Finally discovered how to do this.  Here is how to use a second monitor in portrait mode:
Open System Preferences from your iMac dock.
Click Displays - Click Arrangement - Click Gather Windows - the secondary monitor dialog box opens.
Click Rotation - Click 90 degrees rotation for PORTRAIT MODE.
Click CONFIRM on the secondary monitor to keep Portrait mode.
    Select the desired resolution. I chose 1200 x 1920.
You'll see a dialog box that says, "About to change the display mode."
    Click OKAY.
Click Confirm. (If it appears. For some resolutions, I did not have to click confirm, most likely because the monitor supports those resolutions.)
Then resize the windows of the software you're using.
    Done!

I too got the same. Both monitors went portrait. Then I unchecked the 'Mirror Display' option in the Arrangment tab of iMac display and voila. Got what I wanted.

  • HT5019 MacPro laptop display and 2 external monitors (three displays). Can I have more than one application displayed at a time?

I would like to have my MacPro laptop display and 2 external monitors (three displays). Question, how can I have more than one application displayed at a time? IE: I would like email on one monitor, Finder on my laptop, and iTunes on the other. Possible?
With extended desktop, it appears that I can only have one application presenting at a time. Sort of defeats the purpose of having multiple displays.
I am using the HDMI and the mini HDMI connectors.
