How do I keep emails in my saved emails folder forever on my iPad?
I have several emails that I would like to keep and not have them deleted off my iPad. how do I do this?
If you have saved folders, transfer the emails to those folders. That seems obvious enough. But if you are asking how to create saved folders, you can only create folders/mailboxes on the iPad if you have an IMAP email account.
If you go to your email account in the Mail app and look at the window where your inbox, trash folder and sent folder are - if there is an Edit button at the top of the window - tap that and then tap Add Mailbox at the bottom.
If the Edit button is not there - you cannot create folders on the iPad. Your email account is not IMAP. Only IMAP email accounts can create folders on the iPad. Any folders that you would already have in an IMAP account would sync to the device as well.

If the messages are still being deleted with that Never setting selected, then the mail server is the likely culprit.
If you are using POP, then the mail server can delete the messages when they're downloaded.
Irrespective of POP or IMAP, the mail server can be configured to delete older messages. Check with whomever is maintaining your mail server for details.
It's also conceivable that there is some sort of add-on housekeeping software installed on your Mac, and that that software is getting "helpful" here.
The obvious and general recommendation: don't store messages in the trash. Trash tends to get emptied. -

I have my iPod set to delete on iPod only. Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendar> my POP account or IMAP> Out going Mail Server, Advanced> Mailbox Behaviors, Deleted Mailbox> and I have selected the setting: On My iPod.

How do I keep an archive of all email in Apple Mail on my computer for one year?
I operate a small business, and need to keep an archive of all email on my computer for at least one year (not on the cloud, as I live on a small island and our internet service is sporadic). I prefer to manually delete all email after 12 or 13 months. It seems like Apple Mail no longer allows this?
What type of account(s)? (POP, IMAP, Exchange)
You can move messages from the sever ( IMAP or Exchange) to a folder under "On My Mac" to save directly to your computer.
When you drag a message it copies. Use the Move icon to move off the server to "On My Mac" folder.
You can select to delete any email at any time by selecting messages then click on Delete. -

do you mean to close tabs in safari? On each tab you'll see a little X. Tap on that and the tab closes, which closes the web page

How do i save Images from the "Saved Photos" folder in my iPad
I have no idea how to save the images that i save while surfing the net or emails.
They are saved to a folder in my IMAGE build in app called "Saved Photos", but i don't know how to get them out of my iPad.
Does anyone know how do do this?
ThanksVery simple, open up my computer and the iPad icon should be displayed just like any other drive. When you open it up it will than say internal storage. then a folder, mine is labeled DCIM like many camera folder names, that is where all your saved photos are. i think you can only copy them from the folder to your hard drive, and you have to delete them on the iPad. i guess you can say it treats it like a huge flash drive but just with your saved photos

This is how I fixed it on my new iPhone 5S. Using the standard yahoo setting on my phone.
You will have to access "managing your app passwords" on your account profile for yahoo. Generate password for your app. For example: "My iPhone 5S'
Go to your Iphone and set up your yahoo mail account on your phone the normal way and you have to use the generated password. instead of the yahoo account password.

How can I keep attachments from embedding in emails?
When I put an 'attachment' with my email, it embeds into the email and doesn't keep it as an attachment even though this is what I asked the mail to do. The recipient of the email is unable to separate multiple attachments such as a group of photos. I use both the mail icon on my Mac Pro and also have attached it in the MSN outlook site, with the result the same for both. Any suggestions as to how to keep an attachment as an attachment? Attaching files is as old as the hills... puzzling - I lean towards between the chair and screen rather than software problems
In my email client, I can attach an image as usual OR I can paste it from the clipboard INLINE which shows it in an HTML enabled message body AND automatically attaches it as if using the Attach tool. I can right/CONTROL click the inline image to Save it OR Save with the Save tool in the Attachment pane. How are you attaching your files?

An update for anybody else with similar problems.
I did get an email after about 10 days. And the Short version is if you want to cancel your Premium BT Yahoo email account (That costs about £20 a year just to get email via pop3 or pushed to your mobile device) The ONLY way is to phone BT and they will cancel it for you but will also DELETE your email account after 3 Months ! So there seems to be no way to "downgrade" your BT Yahoo email account back to just a web based account.
This feels rather ridiculous if you ask me!
After using my BT email account for 10 years + I am now in the very slow process of logging into every online account I have and changing my email address to a free Gmail account that does the same job for free !
Once I have changed all the email address on all my important accounts I will go a head an cancel this ridiculous payment.
I guess this can now be classed as closed. But not with a happy outcome.

How do you keep pages visible when saving or submitting?
My flowed interactive form works like a charm until the user saves or submits the form.
When the form is saved or submitted using a button the pages that became "visible" via script based on the users selections become "hidden" when the saved form is reopenned or the submitted form is openned.
I'm stummped. I'm a novice at scripting and LC and have tried everything I can think of....Still not showing all items when reopen saved dynamic form. Getting so frustrated. Below is a sample of a page that will not remain visible.

All of the hidden pages are scripted just like above examples yet some show and some are hidden even though the checkbox is checked.
This is my first project using LC and I've got to this point based on my reading and member suggestions here.
Is this design sound or is there some other more efficient solution? Based on my reading, this should be working fine. Otheres appear to have
had success with this approach. Unsure why I am getting mixed results. I have checked and rechecked the scripts for pages that are not
remaining visible and they look OK to me. Anyone see a glaring flaw or have any ideas?

How can I keep from receiving my incoming emails twice?
I receive most of my emails twice. When I delete one, they are both deleted.
This could be an issue with @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com adresses.
These addresses are the same, mail will be received double, but when you remove 1 of them, all 3 will be affected.
When you only have 2 of these (me.com/icloud.com), it happens too, but than with 2 duplicates instead of 3. -
How can I keep images when replying to emails?

My company have recently changed email signatures to one that includes a lot of images. When you send an email from Outlook the image displays perfectly on iphone 5-so good so far! However when you try to reply to an email from iphone the images are not included in the reply and the signature looks untidy.
If I click forward instead of reply on my iphone, I am given the option to "include attachments from the original message?". If I click "include" then the forwarded email signature appears as it should; if I click "don't include" the email signature does not display the images correctly as above.
Is there a way to have the "include attachments from original message?" option when replying to emails on iphone 5 (iOS 6.1.4)?
ThanksRight-click the page, choose View Page Info, and click the Permissions tab. There you can turn off automatic loading of images (uncheck Use default first to enable the controls). Any luck?
There might be a way to restore that more direct right-click menu item if you need it frequently, but I haven't researched it.
To clean up a page for printing, you also could consider an add-on like the following: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-edit/ Print Edit :: Add-ons for Firefox]. Then you wouldn't have to re-enable images each time. -
How come i keep getting a network error when trying to register my ipad for imessage?
I am trying to register my new ipad to imessage, when i click on message it says to enter my apple id to autherize this ipad, so i do.... then it sits there for about 30-45 seconds and comes back with a pop up apple error saying "imessage activation - could not sing in. pealse cheack your network connection and try again" and i am on Wifi and everything else works (with the exception of facetime which gives me the same error). I live in IL, USA

AOL Desktop (PC) to AOL Desktop for Mac - Transferring Saved Emails
I just installed AOL Desktop for Mac and I'm trying to transfer my emails. There's no issue setting up the accounts and accessing my emails Saved on AOL, but I cannot access my emails Saved on my PC. The software doesn't have any feature to transfer these locally saved emails from PC to MAC.
The suggested solution is to forward all my saved emails to myself and save them on AOL. Then they'd be accessible on the mac. But I have thousands of emails so this isn't feasible.
Does anyone know how I might go about transfering my saved emails from AOL Desktop to AOL Desktop for Mac?

I too had the same problem. Here is the solution.
Go to System Preferences and select General.
Near the bottom of the window, deselect (uncheck) "Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps."
Launch AOL Desktop, you'll still see the untitled windows. No problem. Now quit AOL and relaunch. No more untitled windows.

This can be configured under the Advanced tab of each account in Mail's Preferences. You would set the 'Keep copies of messages for offline viewing' drop-down to 'Don't keep copies of any messages.' Keep in mind, however, that this will limit Mail's ability to search through your messages (though this can still likely do so from your email provider's website).

Hi all, Hoping someone can give me an explanation of an oddity I've had. I have a series of fairly large databases. I wanted the make the database log files 8GB in size with 8GB growth increments with unlimited maximum file size. So, I wrote the scri
