How do I keep folder settings below the top level

There's a certain Finder setting I prefer for folders regarding icon view. I use a size and arrangement that works very well for me. After replacing my older MacBook Pro with a new MBP and transferring all my data, the setting I prefer only works at the top level of any given folder. Any enclosed folder needs to be individually set to my preferred settings. Is there a universal setting in the Finder for folders that will include all enclosed folders?

    In my project, I have created 2 roles Role A and Role B. These roles have been assigned to User X.
    When user X logs in, he is able to see name of role that is 'A' in the top level navigation.
    As per the requirement, user X should not see the 'A'.
    Rather user X should see following:
    Top Level Navigation: 'My Work'
    When user clicks on 'My Work', he should see
    'My Sub Work1' and 'My Sub Work2'.
    After that under 'My Sub Work1' user should see following
    All Objects of Role A
    All Objects of Role B
    Name of role i.e. 'A' or 'B' should not be displayed at all at any place in navigation.
    Only whatever objects  has been assigned to Role A and B should be displayed in detailed navigation area.
    Can you please let me know how to achieve this?

    Please note that 'My  Work' and 'My Sub Work1' and 'My Sub Work2) are not roles. They are just the name of folders.

    Hi Brian,
    Try the following steps.
    1. Change the 'Entry Point' property of Roles A and B to 'No'.
    2. Create a role folder called 'My Work' under A and B.
    3. Set the 'Entry point' property of this folder to 'Yes'.
    4. Set the 'merge id' property of the folder as "mywork" (or any other string) under both roles A and B.
    5. Under 'My Work' in Role A,
    a. Set the 'Merge Priority' property to 50.
    b. create subfolder 'My sub work1' and create all your objects.
    6. Under 'My Work' in Role B,
    a. Set the 'Merge Priority' property to 100.
    b. create subfolder 'My sub work2' and create all your objects.
    7. Make sure the user is assigned both the roles A and B. Only then he/she can see objects of both the roles.
    8. One thing to remember while merging folders is that, all the entities that are being merged should be at the same level. For eg: in our case, you cannot merge 'my subwork1' in role A, with 'my work' in role B.

    I have the authority of administration.I have added a customizing role with the entry-point property to myself userid . I have checked my navigation-target page's property can be visible in top-level navigation. I checked my my display level is set as 2 .
       However ,i dont get the folder content at the top-level navigation.Anyway,when i check the delta link trace,there is no folder that connect to my role .
       Anyone helps me out ?

    Hi Eleanor,
    If you already created a role with an entry point and assigned it directly to you user, you may just have to refresh the portal page. You may also check the authorizations of you role.

    Hi everybody! Here I am, learning to Mac!
    When I do a secondary click on an open folder's background and click on +show visualization options+ (actually, +mostrar opciones de visualización+ in spanish), there's an option +set as default+ ( +ajustes por omisión+ ) which, as far as I understood, should change all the rest folder's aspect, as icon's size, font size, background image and so on... but all the rest folder's aspect keep being shown as before, just the folder where I am working changes.
    My questions are: if I am wrong with the use of that "ajustes por omisión", what is it for? And how can I personalize the aspect of all folders on my mac?

    It's "show view options" in English. Also obtained by typing CMD+J
    Those only apply to the top-level folder. Each folder you open uses whatever you've elected to use as the defaults. Select a folder, CMD+J, set the view as you desire, click on Use as Default button. That setting will be used for all windows that you open in the future that have never been opened previously. All other windows that you opened will retain whatever view you previously selected for them.
    If you want to reset everything to one view, close all open Finder windows, launch the Terminal app (/Applications/Utilities/), copy & paste this command into the window that pops up,
    find ./ -name ".DS_Store" -depth -exec rm {} \;
    hit the return key, quit the Terminal app, restart, open a Finder window, CMD+J, set up the view options as desired, click the Use as Defaults button, and close the view options window. Now, every Finder window you open will have this view.

    You can easily do that by downloading the music before you get to that area of weak Wi-Fi and cellular signal by downloading the music directly from the Music app by tapping the cloud button next to songs. The other option is to sync the music with iTunes over USB to have the songs downloaded to your phone. Take a look at the links below to get your music downloaded to your iPhone.

    You can send over WiFi, but it sounds as if you need to setup your Gmail account, or did you do this already?

    a. Are you able to double click the template to open it in the program's Titler?
    b. Can you select the present text with the Selection Tool to move it to custom locations?

    Hi, how cn I keep in my computer the deleted messages forever? It is because everyday many of them desapeared

    The core setting: Mail > Preferences > Accounts > select the account(s) > Mailbox Behaviors > Permanently erase deleted messages when: Never
    If the messages are still being deleted with that Never setting selected, then the mail server is the likely culprit.
    If you are using POP, then the mail server can delete the messages when they're downloaded.
    Irrespective of POP or IMAP, the mail server can be configured to delete older messages.  Check with whomever is maintaining your mail server for details.
    It's also conceivable that there is some sort of add-on housekeeping software installed on your Mac, and that that software is getting "helpful" here.
    The obvious and general recommendation: don't store messages in the trash.  Trash tends to get emptied.

    While Firefox for Android uses the same internals as Firefox desktop the interface is completely different. The bookmarks toolbar does not exist on Firefox for Android.

    Try a re-set. If that doesn't fix it, restore. If that doesn't fixit, Set it up as a new device, preferably by putting into DFU mode.
    If none of that fixes it, the WiFi radio has physically failed.
