How do I keep iphone from turning off when listening to a streaming radio broadcast

When I listen to a local fm station from their web site, the iPhone keeps turning off and I have to push the middle button to start it again.  Is there any way I can prevent this?
Thanks,
--Kenoli

Hmmm. Something is not right,  I don't have this problem.
Very few Settings>Safari  that should affect this.

  • How do I keep iPhone from dropping flagged messages ?

I have flagged airline e-tickets, museum reservations, etc. on my iPhone inbox, and they disappear aftetr a few days to a week or more.  Where can I find them,or how do I keep them from disappearing ?  The only thing I do is to resend them from my computer, flag them again, and they disappear again.
Any clues and any help would be appreciated !!

    Addemdum-
I forgot to mention that I have 1000 messages checked  and  alert me before deleting messages.  Is there some magic time that flagged messages disappear in to cyberspace ?
Someone told me on an e-mail that she puts flagged messages in a folder.  I can find nothing in the iPhone
manual about doing this, or even making a folder for messages.  Can someone enlighten me ?
    Thanks a bunch !   carolyn

  • What exactly is using data and how can i keep it from using data when im not using my phone?

So i have an iphone 4 and i have used a lot of data this month(like almost 2GB) and i have barely touched my phone outside of wifi areas. I always shut down any apps that use data like youtube, funnypics, facebook, etc. but i do play some games during my breaks at work but they dont require data to play so to my knowledge those games arent using data(or are they?) i just need some help figuring out exactly what on my phone is using data all the time so i can turn it off. Is it icloud? Emails on auto update? Offline game apps(minecraft, sonic dash, the Mr. Series games?) Do all apps use data regardless? Somebody please answer me. And No im not buying a bigger data plan. 2GB is my limit but it seems as though i am hitting that easily with my iphone but the rest of my familyis usually miles away from 2GB and they all have Samsung Galaxy S4s.

My first stop would be in Settings > Cellular if you are on iOS 7.  This has a lot of goodstuff. you can turn off cellular data as a who, see your current usage and even see which apps have used data and how much.  You can even turn off individual apps form using cellular data (restricting them to wifi only).
    I hope this helps!

  • How do I make my iPad turn off when the screen is covered?

My old iPad would turn off when I closed the cover but I cannot find how to make the iPad air turnoff in a similar fashion?

Yes it is a proper cover
If it is an APPLE COVER, perhaps it's not the one for that model. But, if it's not an Apple cover, then maybe the manufacturer hasn't set up the magnets the way they are supposed to be.
I'm going to quote from another post elsewhere ...
Are you using a genuine Apple cover or another third party cover?
It's the magnets in the cover which activate the lock/unlock feature to appear in your settings. In earlier iPads you could slide a magnet down the side of the iPad to find where the magnet activates and turn the feature on.....Apple have now changed how this works with the iPad Air. Whereas before there was only 1 magnet positioned in the cover for earlier iPads, it is now thought there are 2 with alternating polarity.
So if you want this feature you will need to buy an Apple cover or wait for third party manufacturers to get their magnets in the correct position.
If you do have a genuine Apple cover then there is something going wrong here....

  • IPhone 4 turns off when a specific song plays

I bought "Applause" by Lady Gaga in August, and it worked just fine, until I bought "ARTPOP" in November. Everytime this song plays, my iPhone 4 turns off, unless I keep it unlocked.. What can I do?

I'll try to do that! Thanks again

  • How do I keep iTunes from moving files when I add them to my library?

I use a site where artists give away their songs via torrent, so I like to seed as much as possible. But recently when I've added files, they're removed from their original folder and moved to a more generic "music" folder. How can I keep iTunes from doing this, so that my uploads aren't interrupted?

In iTunes, go to Edit > Preferenes > Advanced, and make sure that "Keep..." and "Copy..." are both unchecked.

  • HT1414 My iPhone 4s turns off when i remove it from the charger, but its 100% fully charged. What is the problem?

I am on version 6.1.2 and I have replaced my battery already a couple of weeks ago, so it shouldnt be a battery problem (I guess). this happened 2 days ago at first it wouldnt charge or turn on at all and today it turned on but it turns off as soon as I remove it from the charger. At the moment its on the charger but keeps on randomly turning on and off.

One thing to try is a updating, either via iTunes or OTA, to 6.1.3 to see if that cures the problem. Also, once you've updated it set it up as a new iPhone and see how it performs then. If it's fine after that try restoring from your backup to see if the problem comes back. It could be an issue with your firmware that's currently on the phone and it might be residing in your backup

  • How can you keep iphone from connecting to unknown networks and stop asking about them?

When i have WiFi on, but "ask to join" is turned off, i've found that my iphone connects to open unsecured networks on its own whenever it can.  These are not networks it has previously been connected to.  I want it to behave like every other WiFi device out there where i have a list of known networks that it accesses when in range and i don't want it to ask me or connect to anything else when not in range.  I understand i can turn WiFi off but this is a pretty big pain to have to manually do this every time i go in and out of range of networks i want to be connected to.
It also would be nice if anyone knows of a way to edit my know networks list as a list instead of having to be in range of the network and then one by one go through every visible network to figure out which ones it considers known.  Especially when it has automatically added networks without my knowledge when the ask to join was turned off.

Let me give you an example. I'm at a United lounge at O'Hare Airport right now. They have WiFi here but it requires that you log on in order to connect to the internet. I connect to WiFi from my laptop. All good. Then, immediately, my iPhone connects to the same network. But because I haven't logged on from my iPhone, I can't get online. This kills the internet on my iPhone because I'm connected to a network with no internet access. If on my iPhone I "Forget this Network" and then come back next week, I'll find that it connects to the exact same network.
I travel a lot and almost all of the networks I use on a daily basis require a login of some sort.
I could turn off WiFi but then I have to remember to turn it on when I actually do want to connect to a network, like when I'm at home.
Any idea how to prevent the mirroring of WiFi connections? Or at a minimum make sure the "Forget this Network" option actually works?

Cannot keep toolbars turned off. Have to turn off every time you power up. Old verison they would stay off

If you are on phone and inputing phone number and then press left menu button you will see the Add Pause and Wait options to add to number and then you can save number..

  • My iPhone 3G turned off when i dropped it, and since then i try turning it on and it won't pass the apple logo, what do i do?

I dropped My iPhone 3G it turned off and since then i've tried turning it on & it won't boot through the apple logo, i already tried pressing the home button and the log off one but its the same. what do i do?!

Before you bring it in to the store, you could rule out software by placing the phone in DFU mode and restoring the OS. In the absence of hardware issues, the DFU restore will solve the issue of the phone being stuck on the Apple logo. It will also remove al data from the phone so hopefully you have a recent backup.
To put your iPhone/iPod into DFU mode:
    1. Make sure the iPhone/iPod is connected to the computer
    2. Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 8 seconds
    3. Let go of the sleep/wake button and keep holding down the home button
    4. If you are successful, a dialog box will pop up in iTunes stating that iTunes has detected an iPod/iPhone in recovery mode. Note that a successful DFU will result in a blank black screen on your iPhone/iPod.
    5. Click OK, then click the restore button in iTunes.
Hopefully after that you will be able to resync your data and be good to go.
    Hope this helps.
