How do I keep my iPad from switching back and forth from my Apple ID to my husbands Apple ID?

Your question confuses me because there is no way that the iPad can switch Apple ID's without user input. Where are you seeing evidence of this?
If you are seeing app updates that require your husbands ID, that's because those apps were purchased with his ID and will always require his ID and password for updates.
If you are seeing his ID elsewhere, explain....

I happen to think it's a pain to click twice on files when I'm used to clicking just once.
But Tiger is a nice operating system. I enjoy that it has much more capabilities than the OS9. I mean, Tiger keeps up with the advancing internet. My beef is really against OS9. I can open OS9 in Tiger but not Tiger in OS9.

Major pain the butt. This has been a request from Apple users for many years. it's great you can now combine all emails into one, but some people want them kept separate and have separate icons on the main page. They could easily do this by having one "MAIL" account as white and another red. Or put MAIL 1 and MAIL 2. Or an actual label that the mail accounts are called on the ICONS!!

Not that it matters a lot, Android vs iPhone interface is largely a matter of personal preference and what you know... I'm not sure which one you're saying is not efficient...

I currently have two email accounts setup. My iPhone main page Mailbox settings reads:

All Inboxes
Gmail

I wish there an efficient way to move back and forth while in the "Inbox" between accounts. Also, Why does one gmail account show as "Gmail" and another as the actually address?
The names are based on the names you gave the accounts when you set them up.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap the account you want to re-name. Go to the "Description" field and put in what ever you want.
Second, there is no way to quickly choose a bunch of emails to delete. I have to manually go into each one and move it to the Trash folder.
If you tap the edit button in the upper right while in mail, you can select multiple items to move, delete or mark (flag).
I don't want any of the condescending remarks, that I've read here and in other forums. I'm honestly looking for a solution, which I think you are too! One thing I realized is that iPhone users in these forums are really defensive and quick to say "that's how it is, live with it, if you don't like it go away" Um...the only thing that tells me is you are pretty bitter and have kept telling yourself that, to force yourself to like your device. I prefer to express my issues, and find solutions. There is ALWAYS a solution...
I think what you will find is that many people here, myself included, tend to get a bit short with people who start off with attacks or whining about how something has been asked for for years and should be easy, rant about things that have already been beaten to death multiple times in the forums, talk about how much better Android or BB are at something (really... if it's that much better, why did they buy an iPhone to begin with?), etc., or continue to ask questions that could easily be answered with a simple search, or even just by looking back at the last dozen posts to the forum, half of which probably asked the EXACT SAME question.
I don't think any of us go out of our way to be rude or uncivil. That said, attacking the people who are attempting to help you is much more likely to generate a response of 'if you don't like it, go away', than it is to generate something that will be truly helpful.

for some reason, i'm unable to switch back and forth from windows to mac right now. i rarely shut down my mac, but did today and when it restarted, it naturally restarted in windows. i then held down the keys i thought i was supposed to and restarted it, but don't have the option of getting back into my mac side. what keys am i supposed to hold down while restarting the computer?? i feel like the mac side is being held hostage! i thought it was ctrl & the apple key that i was to hold down at the same time. anyone? anyone??

Hi and welcome to Discussion,
to 'release the hostage' you have to hold down the 'Option/Alt'-key during restart and are then greeted by a Boot-Menu from which you can choose which one to boot.
Once in OSX you might want to go to System Preferences - Startup Volume and choose OSX as the default.
After the needed restart OSX boots up automatically unless you again use the Option-key to choose Windows.

How do you switch back and forth from Chinese and english in forms and reports 6i? Tried changing regional settings in the control panel. Tried changing registry entry for nls_lang from american and chinese, none of them work! Can anyone help?
Chinese version of forms and reports 6i is installed. Only way I can change between english and chinese is to keep installing the version I want. Is there any other way?

Checking the info shows that each of the unplayed videos was saved in the same mp4 format as the playable ones yet some of my most important videos won't play . It's getting very frustrating .

first; I use Perian, that helps even though it is no longer supported, (must have for avi files)
the apple-cores at apple have gotten very sloppy -- quicktime is a bit finicky and flakey.
example,   occasionally (when copy file from quad's card to hard drive) the avi will show up as a 'mov' file and qt plays it no problem and no conversion.
but that is very occasionally, most of the time qt won't convert the file,   -- iMovie won't open an avi without Perian installed , I don't know how that effects qt.
qt 7"pro" is no good either, (qt 10 does everything it does and for NOT the extra $35)
I have gone to VLC and MPlayerX for direct playback for drones and cameras.

Hey! My iPhone 4S is rapidly switching back and forth from wifi to 4G. It will remain connected to wifi for about 10 seconds and switch to 4G for half a second. Then the cycle repeats. It's definitely been a drain on my battery. I've already switched wifi off and on, reset network connections on the phone, and rebooted my wifi and router. None of these have helped. When wifi is off, the 4G works fine. The wifi works in other locations, but my home network is not working. However, all other wireless devices in my home are working fine. Seems like a problem between my phone and the wifi.

Everything you've mentioned points to an issue with the home Wi-Fi.
Try forgetting the connection in Settings > Wi-Fi.
Restart the device and then connect to the Wi-Fi.

Command Button colors corrupt after switching back and forth from design view.

I would say my experience level with Access is "getting there."
I therefore don't thing I'm making a newbish mistake.
Has anyone else noticed this? As it's bugging me quite badly.
1. A command button has had it's color formatted (pressed, hover, etc. nothing fancy)
2. It works fine.
3. In my navigation form, if I switch to design view, then select a given sub-form... like "customers" - and switch back out of design view, to form view - then without fail, all customized command buttons within that sub forms' color will 'corrupt'
ie, change.
4. Closing and reopening the navigation form (ie, my main menu) restores it, but the same thing will happen should I go back to design view for the sub form.
5. Finally - this behaviour does not happen when switching back and forth between views on the original form that isn't a sub form in the navigation form. (Ie,. the main 'customers' form).
Can any clever folk give me a solution? :(

EDIT - My apologies, I am using Access 2013 for a desktop database.

1) We will need to understand whether the issue is seen on any sample database.
2) IS this seen only on your system, we would need to check on other system also
3) If the issue is seen in all system & issue is not seen in the sample database then this could be database specific issue
4) As per my understanding the issue is consistent, we would need to find what is the VBA code or which code is used while designing this form.
5) We would need to see if the issue is seen only on that particular navigation form?
6) Is the button gets corrupt I mean to say non-usable once it get discolored ?
7) What is your end goal just in case if you are able to work on your database i.e. when working on the navigation form without going in design view is issue still seen there ?
8) Since when are you experiencing this issue ?
9) If possible please provide me the environment details of your system & Access application, whether the issue is seen only in access 2010 can we check in access 2007 or in access 2013.
I would really appreciate if you can answers the above questions this will really help us to isolate the issue further
in terms of technical troubleshooting after answering the above question I might come up with another question so that we can do extensive isolating the issue so the if required we can involve the developer also.

HELP! How can I switch back and forth from LT to FCE to sync sound?

I'm using LT 1.2.1 and FCE 3.0. I haven't used it for 2 or 3 years, but people in this forum have been amazing at helping me get an old project working again.
Here's my latest question. I swore back then there was a way to move back and forth between LT and FCP so I wouldn't have to render my LT files each time I wanted to drop it into FCP.
Here's what I'm doing:
I've created an entire "movie" in LT that now needs to be fine-tuned to be sync'd up with a professional voiceover, which is why I'm using FCP. The only way I can figure out how to make sure the LT file is going to be sync'd with the audio is to render the movie in LT, import it into FCE, see if the audio works with it, if not, I go back to LT, move things around, then re-render, import into FCE, and hope it all sync's.
I think there was an easier way to go back and forth between the two.
Along the same lines, is there a way to get the audio from FCE (or some sort of a representation) into LT? The LT file must be adapted to the audio, and if I could "see" the audio in LT, it would be infinitely easier.

LiveType does not support any kind of audio, Bob.
Go through your movie in the FC Timeline and set markers at the relevant cue points by pressing M.
Pressing M a second time whilst sitting on the marker, will open a dialog where you can type a suitable description in the name field. Keep the description short -it might help to take notes too.
Export a copy of the movie (including markers) and bring it into LiveType with File > Place background Movie. The markers will show up at the top of the LT timeline, with their descriptions.
Delete the background from LiveType when you have everything lined up. Save your LT project file and import it into FCE. You can use the project file exactly like a video clip.
If you need to go back to LiveType for changes, right click the LT file in FCE's Timeline. Choose "Open in Editor". This will open the project in LT. Make changes, save the file and it will update in FCE.

Hi everyone, just got myself a 4gb iphone 4s, My question is
In itunes i have selected to back up some photos and music imported from discs to my computer
but im thinking of using some of my free 5gb icloud allowance to back up some apps and purchased movies to icloud,
so if i downloaded some apps and purchased movies to my phone will it let me store these seperately on icloud without
transferring what i already have backed up on my computer, or if i select back up to icloud after downloading the apps and movies
will it transfer everything to icloud including what is presently backed up to my computer, can i move back and forth like this

HI, I don't think you can backup movies or indeed your personal media in general into iCloud. My understanding is that the iCloud backup of a device will backup application data & settings that would previously have been backed up on a computer. As Winston says you don't have any freedom to move individual files into and out of your iCloud storage.
Your apps and store purchases other than movies can be downloaded at any time, your non-iTunes-purchased media and any movies need to be backed up locally. Rather than looking at iCloud as a complete backup solution it may be better to treat it as a partial solution which gives you the freedom to access your purchase history (excluding movies) on demand and, if you care to subscribe to iTunes Match, extends that freedom to your non-iTunes-purchased music.
If your real need is for a backup solution then I'd recommend you look at Time Machine or Carbon Copy Cloner.
Ah, you fooled me by posting in the iCloud on my Mac forum but I gather from your other posts that you are a Windows user. See this User Tip for a backup strategy...

Restart the computer with the Option key held down, select the desired OS, and press Enter, or use the Startup Disk pane of System Preferences in Mac OS X and the Startup Disk control panel in Windows to change it. If you're using Boot Camp, you need to restart the computer to change.

FCP keeps freezing when I go back and forth from other applications

OK, so first when I called in to procare they narrowed it down to possibly being a corrupt file because I share this editing station and user desktop with another editor, he doesn't have the same problems, and we reinstalled the Operating system and FCP studio to make sure. My project has alot more scripted photoshop sequences, nested sequences and more Motion projects than his too, so they suggested that I copy and paste all of my sequences and bins from the frozen project into a brand new one, and cut out some of the old unused sequences. So I did and it did help things a little bit but still. even when I just go from safari and back to FCP I still get the spinning ball, and it still takes about a minute or so for the spinning ball to stop if I make changes to just a simple title in Motion that is also up in FCP. I'm afraid if I add any more graphics to this newly copied project it may start freezing like the other one did. Any suggestions on how to speed things up, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks, jen

Okay now that I have that off my chest, there are a number of things we could all look at to trouble shoot this problem. No doubt others will chime in, but my first thought is to look at how big your photoshop files might be. Check out this link:

You also noted you have a lot of nested sequences. Maybe you could export those nested sequences as QT movies to free up some memory. Also are all your sequences open at the same time? This eats up memory as well.
Just a couple of areas to get you started.

The cursor keeps switching back and forth from arrow to arrow and hourglass. Why and how to fix it?

This is an occurrence that has just started and in the past it was my understanding that when the arrow and hourglass were being displayed together it indicated there was some activity in the computer, but of late it will switch from the pointing arrow to small arrow & hourglass when I am not touching anything or when writing a letter or something else it will switch without me doing anything to indicate that I am ready for it to do anything.

Try running a full virus scan. Maybe you have a virus/spyware/adware running in the background. You can hit Ctrl+Alt+Del and click on task manager and see what is running in the background as programs and processes. Click the button that says show all processes from all users.

This happens to me too; sometimes the name will disappear from recent calls - only the phone number will be listed, and the contact completly disappears from my contacts. They always re-appear eventually, sometimes after hours. Or if I try to re-add them from my recent calls, they will sometimes reappear while I'm in the middle of adding the contact again. It is very inconvenient though to be looking for a contact you know you added and it is not in your contacts list. I know people will ask and no, no, I do not have a specific group selected.
Any ideas appreciated.
