How do I keep my iphones from interacting?
My family has 3 iphones. Sometimes when my daughter gets a call my phone will also ring. Sometimes when one of us downloads an app 1 or both other phones will download the app also. We did not activate iclouds, and everything relating to that is turned off. Please help.
There's no way your phone will ring when your daughter's phone is called unless you have an illegal cloned SIM card and have the same phone number...
If more than one of you is downloading the same app, you are using the same iTunes account and you have the phones set to:
Settings > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music, Apps, Books > ON. To stop automatic downloads of purchases by other family members, on other devices, set these to OFF or get separate iTunes accounts.

Hmmm, mine has never done that in the 7 1/2 years I've had an iPhone, and I've never seen a post that reported this problem before, so it's a mystery. If you provide a little more detail maybe someone can help. For example, is it all music that gets duplicated, or only some? Where did the music come from; the iTunes store, ripped CDs, or imported MP3s? Do you see the duplicates in the iTunes music library on your computer? What kind of computer? What version of iTunes? What operating system?

Hi, I have changed from an old laptop to a macbook air. how can i keep my music from my iPhone and sync it my macbook? Only purchased music seems to be available to sync, even though the rest of the music was uploaded from CD's on my last laptop.
As I can't upload CD's onto the Macbook Air, how do I keep the existing music on my iphone syn onto my new macbook without deleting all the cds on the iphone??

Are you pressing the Sync button to transfer music after connecting your iPhone or do you have the option checked to 'Automatically Sync when the iPhone is connected?'
Have you tried manually dragging and dropping music from your library into your phone? -

If you're talking about closing running apps, they changed it up a bit from iOS6. Now you just double click the home button to bring up the running apps, side scroll to the app you want to close, then just swipe up.

How can I unlock my iphone from Iusacel (Mexico) I moved to Canada and the Iusacel company told me they cannot do it. Can you tell me how? I want to keep using my iphone.
The normal process is to request the unlock with the carrier. They process it and pass it on to Apple to be applied to the Apple's iPhone database. The carrier would then inform you when Apple has provisioned the unlock, and you would restore your iPhone as a new device in iTunes to apply the unlock (you would get a message at the end of that restore as new in iTunes indicating the unlock was successfully applied). You could then restore your iPhone from backup to get everything back as it was.
However, for some carriers, you seem to beed to complete the iTunes restore from within the country where they provide service. Regardless, have you tried restoring as new in iTunes to see if it processes any provisioned unlock request? Just be sure to backup the iPhone first, before restoring as new. -

No, you can authorize any number of email addresses on your Apple Id and then select one of those to use as an alternate Send and Recieve for Messages. It isn't necessary to use seperate AppleIDs. I use my phone number on my iPhone and an email address on the iPad.

IF it is opening in import mode:
Do you have an external drive or device (iPhone, USB key) plugged into iPhoto? If so, there are some photo files on it that make iPhoto think it has photos to import. Remove the device, delete the photos or move the photos to another folder on the device.
If it is not openeing in import mode, it must be in your startup items. Drag it from there. -

Here's the issue. Kids got themselves into some trouble on iPods. We set all restrictions any turned off iMessage etc, which I noticed they can't turn back on bc it's gray with the don't allow account changes set. BUT, it still allows Wi-Fi to be turned on and off! How can I disable them being able to turn that on wo asking me?? In ios 7, the blocking feature, fabulous, BUT, how can I keep the kids from UNBLOCKING numbers I have blocked? TeresaBoo, I empathize with your dilemma and have a similar problem. I'm trying desperately to keep my teenage daughter away from a controlling and abusive boyfriend. Of course, she is in denial and thinks it's love. Sure, I can block text messages through our wireless provider, but iMessages run on an independent network. I can block a phone number from iMessaging on her phone, but she can unblock it just as easily. I wish there was some way for parents to create a password to protect settings. Don't let negative comments get you down. Honestly, if someone can't relate to your question or offer help, why are they even bothering to comment??

When you say a new user ID, are you referring to your Apple ID that you use to make purchases in the iTunes Store, etc? Or are you talking about a new user account on the same Mac?
