How do I keep the colors from inverting when I open the iCloud panel?

I recently upgraded my 2007 dell Inspiron 1520 from windows XP pro, to windows 7 pro. I installed the iCloud panel, & it seems to operate, but I can't figure why the colors invert?
When I click on the iCloud panel, the computer seems to switch to another mode & then when the panel is displayed, the colors & resolution is antiquated, the color is inverted.
I was able to go to my icloud account for normal access, without the strange mode change, but since I have ran the tutorial to have the laptop to make its own settings, I am not able to get the site to come up; it is trying to though.
I am running Mozillia most of the time, but I let the iCloud to use IE. I do not have Outlook set up to use contacts, I am mostly interested in photo sharing to link & sync between the aforementioned windows 7 machine, to my ipad & iPhone.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your replies ahead of time.

You set the rich text font to Times New Roman in the TextEdit preferences, otherwise it will open to whatever default is set there. I hadn’t changed my TextEdit preferences (rarely use it) and a Pages v5.5.2 document using Times New Roman, and exported to Word .docx, was opened as Helvetica.
Had you opened this Word document in a true word processor, it opens using the Times New Roman font. Tested in OS X 10.10.3 with:

How do I keep the Character panel open and why are my font examples fuzzy?

I am unable to keep the character panel open while editing text. The options will not open in the top tool bar next to color and stroke. The link to the character panel is in the top bar, however, I must click it each time to open. Problem 2, is that even after opening the character panel and opening the drop down box, the 2nd column of text, the column that shows the font examples, is blurry. I've been dealing with this for some time, but had a little extra time today to ask for help.
I am using a PC and using Illustrator in Creative Cloud 2014.1.1 Release, 18.1.1(64-bit).

Thank you for the reply. When I do Window > Type > Character still the palette opens up and I want it to actually be in the bar at the top. I just opened an ai document from one of their tutorials and the characters are now open on top. The dropdown is still wonky.
The left side is very sharp, the right side is fuzzy.

How do I keep my images from moving when extending or contracting in browser?

Can anyone tell me if there is a solution to keeping multiple images from moving as the size of the browser is made larger or smaller. I am in the jewelry business and when I have multiple images, and a customer makes the browser window larger or smaller, it of course moves the images out of position and mixes everything up on different lines. As opposed to a site like Bluenile.com which images stay stationary as the browser window moves. I did try to make all my images on "one image" in Photoshop and that does seem to do what I want as far as the images go, but then I cant add links to individual pictures within that page. Please help !

You're using a liquid layout based on percentages that resizes with browser viewport. As Ned said, a fixed width Table would be one approach. Another would be to use a Fixed Width CSS grid like this one (view page source to see the code)

How do I keep the front panel on top of every windows (including non-LabVIEW windows)?

The question above states it all. Basically I have a progress bar the tells the user to wait and I want it to remain in front of anything that pops up while it is running. My program opens up and deploys a VeriStand project and while it is doing that I dont' want the user to be able to do anything in the front panel that launches it. When VeriStand launches it goes in front of the status window and you can't see it anymore. I want to prevent this from happening and keep it in front of any VeriStand windows that pop up when I call the executable and the deploy an SDF. I did take a look at the WINUTIL.llb but it keeps either 1) giving me errors or 2) not keeping it on top of anything but the main front panel.
Any fixes or alternative solutions would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I did read that earlier and I just think I don't know enough of what I'm doing with library calls to make it work. I kept getting errors and gave up on at the end of the day yesterday. I'm working on other problems since this isn't a major one and figured I'd post it and see if anyone already had a solution to it.

How do I keep table relations from Numbers when copying them to Pages ?

I have two tables within Numbers (because I need two different formats) and have connected them with a formula in Numbers. This works fine.
But when I copy the two tables to a Pages document, the link between the tables is broken, i.e. if I modify a value in table 1, the corresponding value in table 2 is not modified.
What can I do to keep the link between the tables inside Pages ?

There is no link between tables in Pages.
Build your complete document in a Numbers Sheet and the problem will be solved.

How do you stop random screenshots from appearing when you open an app

These screenshots really bug me, especially when it comes to safari. I use safari daily and sometimes I stumble upon rather frightning images. Because.the screenshot that appears when you open an app is always a random snapshot of when you used the app in the past (I sometimes see screenshots that are over a year old), my biggest fear is that a scary picture I looked at in the past may appear when I open safari in the future. Jumpscare.
aside from that, this could also be a security violation, as a picture of your login information foryour bank may aappear at any time. This is especially dangerous if your iPhone is in the hands of another person.

If you are talking about the App Switcher, there's no way to disable the displayed screenshot. If you don't want to see the "scary image", browse to another website. I have Google set as one of my favorites...when I shut down Safari, I just hit the Google favorite so the next time I open Safari, it opens to Google. I've never heard of nor experienced random screenshots popping up when opening Safari.

How can I keep bootable partitions from showing when I want to use my usb stick without the option command at boot up?

Im using a usb stick with bootable diagnostic partitions and a extra partition for diags that run in the OS. When i want to use diagnostics from this extra partition on a mac thats already booted, I have to wait for all the bootable partitions to mount as well as the one partition that I need. Is there a way to hide these bootable partitions when using the usb drive as a storage device to run diags in the OS?

I think I may have to look into a redirect line in my htaccess file so that direct loads of my mp3's route through my website page.
If you do this you may find iTunes won't read the files, so I should test carefully on one file first if possible.

How do you keep strokes, etc, from changing when copying & pasting?

I am sure there is a simple solution to this problem, but I cannot figure it out and could use some help. I have a graphic in one InDesign document (ID CS4 - using Windows XP Pro) and when I try to copy and paste it into another ID doc, it completely changes the strokes and fills. It usually does the opposite of what is in the graphic (this happens with every graphic I try this with). So if I have a circle that is stroke only, when I copy and paste it, it comes in with no stroke and a fill. I have to use these graphics between documents frequently and some of them are complicated, making it difficult to spend the time correcting this problem. When I tried adding the graphic to a library, it did the same thing. It also changed it when I moved one page to another document. Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening and how to make it stop?

Thanks for the reply. While it wasn't the preferences, I did find a link on the link you included in your answer that led me to the solution.
The problem was conflicting object styles. The solution was to load the object style from the doc that included the graphic into the doc that I wanted to place the graphic in. Then when I copy & paste, the graphic comes in perfectly. The only problem is if there are other graphics in that doc, but now that I know there is an issue with object styles, I can pay attention to it as I design.
I can always count on the forum for great answers!

InDesign's PDF export engine does not transcode your videos, they are embedded exactly as they were in the original file. The Flash Player runtime which displays video inside PDF files may not show a perfect match to Quicktime etc. because most video playback tools aren't designed for a color-calibrated workflow, but they should be close.
The playback quality (blocking and aliasing) will be affected if the clip is not playing at 100% (screen pixels != video pixels) and in PDFs with the standard video player widget, that will only ever happen when you use 'floating window' mode. PDF pages have physical dimensions, so viewing them at "100%" does not make them match screen pixels.
If you don't mind the video clip being smaller than the media annotation in which it's playing, then use my free upgrade to the Acrobat playback widget - VideoPlayerX - which maintains 1:1 pixel scale until the page is zoomed out too far for it to fit. You can install the widget into InDesign so it's used by default when exporting.

How can I keep my child from UNBLOCKING contacts or numbers I have blocked? I know in restrictions when you disable account changes at least on ios 6,this greyed out the iMessage button so the kids couldn't deactivate their text feature.

TeresaBoo, I empathize with your dilemma and have a similar problem. I'm trying desperately to keep my teenage daughter away from a controlling and abusive boyfriend. Of course, she is in denial and thinks it's love. Sure, I can block text messages through our wireless provider, but iMessages run on an independent network. I can block a phone number from iMessaging on her phone, but she can unblock it just as easily. I wish there was some way for parents to create a password to protect settings. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
