How do I keep the data on a line graph from overlapping?

The numeric data on points on the graph that are close is overlapping, so you see two numbers in the same place. We can't figure out how to fix this.

Johnnyontherocks it is likely you installed an updated version of the Adobe Application Manager. Remove all copies of Adobe Creative software from the computer and reinstall to downgrade the installation.

How can i change the date of imported movie clips from mini dv?

i imported 1 hour of video from the same tape and created 1 event for all of them.but the date of it is today so imovie is showing it under 2011 when it is 2008? i tried the terminal command touch -t 200806061200 and then draging the event from movies-imovie events to the terminal, i also tried the touch -mt but its not working The folder itself changed dates but not all the clips inside it?

Me just adding in - tried this date and time change and as I get it
• iMovie'08 - can't be done - Right-Click or Shift-Click or whatever-Click - just don't work
• iMovie'09 (and most probably iM'11) - Exactly as describet - BUT one must ctrl-Click on one CLIP at a time - Can't be done to a full Event in one stroke (at least I can not figure out how)
(Now I did figure it out - Select Clip one - keep Shift-key down and select last clip in Event - then when all is selected ctrl-Click in one of them and Change Date & Time and all will change)

How does LabVIEW Render the data in 2D Intensity Graphs?

Hello,
I was hoping someone could explain to me how LabVIEW renders it's 2D intensity data. For instance, in the attachment I have included an image that I get from LabVIEW's intensity graph. The array that went into the intensity graph is 90000x896 and the width/height of the image in pixels is 1056x636.
Something I know from zooming in on these images as well as viewing the data in other programs (e.g. Matlab) is that LabVIEW is not simply decimating the data, it is doing something more intelligent. Some of our 90000 lines have great signal to noise, but a lot of them do not. If LabVIEW was simply decimating then our image would be primarily black but instead there are very obvious features we can track.
The reason I am asking is we are trying to do a "Live Acquistion" type program. I know that updating the intensity graph and forcing LabVIEW to choose how to render our data gives us a huge performance hit. We are already doing some processing of the data and if we can be intelligent and help LabVIEW out so that it doesn't have to figure out how to render everything and we still can get the gorgeous images that LabVIEW generates then that would be great!

Thank you for your understanding. I do have a few tips and tricks you may find helpful, though as I mentioned in my previous post - optimization for images or image-like data types (e.g. 2D array of numbers) may best be discussed in the Machine Vision Forum. That forum is monitored by our vision team (this one is not) who may have more input.
Here are some things to try:
Try adjusting the VI's priority (File»VI Properties»Category: Execution»Change Priority to "time critical priority")
Make sure Synchronous Display is diasbled on your indicators (right-click indicator»Advanced»Synchronous Display)
Try some benchmarking to see where the most time is being taken in your code so you can focus on optimizing that (download evaluation of our Desktop Execution Trace Toolkit)
Try putting an array constant into your graph and looping updates on your Front Panel as if you were viewing real-time data. What is the performance of this? Any better?
The first few tips there come from some larger sets of general performance improvement tips that we have online, which are located at the following links:

How can I change the date on photos I got from someone else?

I attended an event with a friend and the photos of hers that I downloaded from Facebook have a very old date (December 2009). I suspect she doesn't have the date set in her camera. So iPhoto thinks the event went from Dec. 31, 2009 to Aug. 24, 2012 and organizes it in Events in Dec 31 2009, so it isn't where I look for it. I have tried changing the date on the pictures I got from her, but that field is uneditable for those pictures. I can change it on my own, but not hers. How do I get these photos to show the correct date so that they appear in the correct order?

How do I keep the "use iCloud" in Settings Keynote from turning off

I recently opened Keynote on my Ipad IOS5. All of my presentations disappeared and I got dialog that they had been put into Icloud and were no longer visible.
On my Iphone 4s I can open Keynote and they are all there.
So I go to settings and to Keynote in setting and switch the Use Icloud to on. They I go back to the Keynote app and no presentations. So I go back to settings and it's back to off. I try this a couple of more times, restart the Ipad and get the same result. I can't keep the Use Icloud on "on".

How do I change the date format in Forms Central from mm/dd/yyy to dd/mm/yyy?

I'm using Forms Central on a Mac and need to convert the US date format to the one used in Australia ie from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy. I've tried Field properties and can't see any other options. Is there a quick fix somewhere?

How do I remove the data symbol on Line Charts in Numbers for iOS?

When I create a chart with many data points the data symbol gets in the way and hides the line.
I have done a lot of looking around in the chart format options and searched online but I can't find the answer to this issue.

Hi all......as the title suggests, I'm looking to upgrade to the 2011 MacBook Pro.
I currently have a 2008 MacBook and I would like to transfer all the info (Pics, Music, Apps etc) from the MacBook to the Pro - How do I do this please? Should I take it to a store to be done?
Also, I would like to "gift" my MacBook to a friend once I have the Pro - can I clear the MacBook and give it to my friend as a blank (but retaining the OS)??

How do I keep the date/time when exporting photos?

When exporting photos from Photos.app on my Mac, it doesn't use the metadata that it displays in Photos--it uses the current date/time. So when I export a photo from 2010, it says it's dated 2015 when I import it into Aperture.
Is there a way to export an image with its original timestamp? Is this a bug? Thanks.

If you are editing tif files, then you have only a couple of choices.
Flatten the image before you save it. This will reduce it down to one layer. That's the smallest you can get.
When you first open the image, look to see if it's 8 bit or 16 bit tif. It won't help you, but if the image is 8 bit, and you save it as 16 bit, you will have dramatically increased the size of the file for nothing. If it's started as 16, no worries!
check if you are saving with compression. Tif compression is lossless, so unless you did something like resize+resample, it remains the same bit density, etc, so should be just as printable as what they sent you (unless you messed up!).

It's easy for 5-digit ZIP codes to use the Number System format. Set to Base 10 and 5 places. Part of the goodness of this approach is that if you have already lost the zeros to the Automatic Format, this will reconstitute them.
ZIP 5 plus 4 codes are not a problem because the dash in the middle causes a default to Text.

How do I keep the Hotspot feature on my iphone4 from timing out every 90 seconds?

It seems that Apple has decided that 90 seconds is long enough for inactivity on the hotspot feature shared between Iphone4 and iPad2. Anyone know how to keep it alive longer than 90 seconds. It would be nice if Apple made a software change to allow users to select their preferred timeout period. Ideally minimum of 5 minutes before diconnecting between devices but adding at least the option of 15, 30 60 minutes would help. What a pain to have to constantly restart the connection if you get interrupted for a couple of minutes and it shuts off.

In System Preferences > Mission Control > UNcheck "Displays have seperate spaces". Your second monitor will now function the way it did in 10.8.

I am using a LIN communication network to check the output data of my slave which is a dimmer module used in cars. There are 3 modes of operation in this module and each mode gives a different data byte response. I am reading out 3 bytes of data from the slave. Now i need to implement a code to check if these data frames read out are correct.
I am not sure how to compare 3 bytes of data in Labview ?
Can anyone help me with this ?

How do I keep the order of sequentially named images from randomizing on import?

I have several thousand images that I've named sequentially and I'd like to add them to my book, so that each image takes up a single page and the images display sequentially. The issue I've been having is that the order becomes jumbled when the images are imported.
I've been importing images a hundred or so at a time using different methods. When I go to INSERT, CHOOSE and then select my files they land on the page initially in the correct order. When I change their placement to INLINE their order randomizes.
I've also tried this process with only five images and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
As a way of trying to work around this, I found that if I make a pages document with the correct order and then insert it as a new chapter, the order seems to improve. But still the image order becomes jumbled badly in some areas. There does seem to be some improvement though.
Does anyone have any ideas of how to deal with this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
One more thing: The images themselves are very similar to one another and so the only way I've been able to tell which is which for sure is by selecting it and reading it's name in the inspector. Is it possible that this is actually some kind of lag between what I've selected and the image name updating? I am working with a bunch of images, but then again, I was having the same issue with only a few images so maybe not.

The files that I've been working with were originally exported automatically from a PDF and then renamed and resized using Automator. The names are sequential 00001 - 15000.gif but for some reason they only import in the correct order after I've run them through my PS action... Which is slow going unfortunately. I agree that it's unlikely that their appearance has anything to do with the issue. Not sure what was causing the problem, but I'd like to if anyone willing to make an educated guess happens to be reading.
The method I use to make a multipage iBook without placing each image individually is to edit my chapter template so that it's just full-page, linked, text boxes. Then I make a new chapter, grab up to 200 images in the finder and drag them on to the page while holding command. This places the images in the text box and adds pages automatically to fit everything I'm inserting.
