How do I keep the Element Catalog displayed?
..and why is it closing itself all the time?
Also, is there an option of setting the document window and the Structure View to be synched? So that when I move in the document the correct element is highlighted in the Structure View?

Hi Russ and thanks for addressing the question. The element catalog did stay displayed until a few days ago. Now when I position the cursor (appears as black arrow) in the Structure View window and right-click the mouse the element catalog vanishes.
Regarding the non-synch document view and structure view windows, so far haven't experienced synched scrolling. When I scroll in the document view, the current cursor position is not reflected in the Structure View window (it stays static). Only when I select the text in the document view window does the Structure View window jump to that corresponding point/element.
Is there any place where these preferences are set?

I have purchased a watchband for my ipod nano 6th recently, overall is okay but i don't know how to keep the watch to display without pressing the sleep/resume button on edge? Also, the screen is not showing the watch immeditaly when I press the button, it shows the music/cd folder, then I need to scroll the screen back to the watch display. Please help.There is no way to keep the display on permanently, as doing so would significantly reduce the overall life of the battery. It would maybe last only hour, maybe not even.
As for having your iPod wake up to the watch view, head to Settings -> General -> Time on Wake -> On.

How can I keep the browser window stretched across my two displays?
I run am trying to run dual monitor setup and have the Firefox browser span the two monitors. Whenever a Firefox dialog opens, such as Preferences or Print, the window zooms to fit the one primary monitor. How can I keep the browser window stretched across my two displays?

Only on them fits in the screen window and that makes the font so tiny. The others are too wide or too tall. I usually view at 150 - 200% for vision issues.You say it's better to do the Media Browser? I'm fairly new to movie, dvd and garage band. How would I go about using the Media Browser instead of straight to iDVD?
Select Your project - go up to Share - Share to Media Browser and as Large (Not HD)
In iDVD select a nice theme - click on Media button - click on Movie - Select Your movie.
NOW - Save as a DiskImage - and test this before burning DVDs - if this Plays OK then either burn the Image by using Disk Util tool (and set down burn-speed to x4) - or burn via iDVD (will take more time)
I want to keep as much quality as I can.
Then don't use iMovie'08 or 09 or 11 - as they all discard every second line resulting in less quality on the DVD. I use iMovie HD6 or FinalCut any version.
Also...I tried to split my project in iMovie...but couldn't find a way. I wound up just making a copy and then deleting out a handful of scenes from the copy...I still have the original at 4:12hrs. Is there a way in iMovie to split a project?
I would make a copy and cut away a bit from the end - calling this Part 1 and from start of the other copy Part 2.
OR - there are other programs that can squees in more to a DVD e.g. Roxio Toast™ - BUT this has two cons.
• It costs - to me it was well spent mony as it can so much more e.g. back engineer a DVD to an editable form
• Squeesing in more on a DVD - costs in QUALITY - and as You want as much as it can be - then 90 minuts portions encoded with Pro-Quality encoding and full quality interlasced material from a video-editor that delivers this is the way to get 100% of what DVDs can do.
DVD is as standard only SD-Video - HD not possibly. Then You need Blu-Ray. (also Roxio Toast™)

I am not able to keep the changes made in light room when I transfer to photo shopSomething you need to understand. Unless you are using the latest version of Photoshop Elements, it's possible that some of the adjustments that you make in Lightroom won't transfer to Elements if you choose the option to open anyway. If you choose the option to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments then Lightroom will create a TIF or PSD file (depending on your preferences), and that file will include all of the adjustments that you have made using Lightroom. Then you can finish your work in Photoshop Elements.
The process of transferring an image from Lightroom to Photoshop or Photoshop Elements involves the Camera Raw plug-in. It has to be used to interpret the Lightroom adjustments and apply those adjustments to the image after it has been converted. Files open in Elements or Photoshop or no longer raw images because those programs are incapable of editing raw image data. I don't know if this will help you in this situation. Feel free to ask if you have more questions. -

InDesign's PDF export engine does not transcode your videos, they are embedded exactly as they were in the original file. The Flash Player runtime which displays video inside PDF files may not show a perfect match to Quicktime etc. because most video playback tools aren't designed for a color-calibrated workflow, but they should be close.
The playback quality (blocking and aliasing) will be affected if the clip is not playing at 100% (screen pixels != video pixels) and in PDFs with the standard video player widget, that will only ever happen when you use 'floating window' mode. PDF pages have physical dimensions, so viewing them at "100%" does not make them match screen pixels.
If you don't mind the video clip being smaller than the media annotation in which it's playing, then use my free upgrade to the Acrobat playback widget - VideoPlayerX - which maintains 1:1 pixel scale until the page is zoomed out too far for it to fit. You can install the widget into InDesign so it's used by default when exporting. -

Ok, so my whole family has the same apple ID so that we can all get the same music, and we want to be able to use icloud so that when one person buys a song it will push to all of our devices. But the problem is when I want my calendar on my mac to also be pushed to my phone it pushes to all of my familys devices. How can i keep the music pushed to everyones but the calendar and notes just between my phone and my mac using icloud?
Oops my bad...I see that during my troubleshooting I inadvertently left Ringtones unchecked in iTunes.

How do you keep the same URL connection connected continuously?
I am trying to extract information from a web page, but it puts a cust_id in the middle of the URL. It generates the cust_id randomly everytime you use the site. I connect to the initial URL to find the cust_id, I substring that to the new URL and then make a new connection to extract the information, but the web page gives me an error saying that it doesn't recognise the cust_id. As if it was a new connection with the wrong cust_id.
How can I keep the first connection open and with the same cust_id information and then jump to another web page but using the initial connection. Using IE6 I can just cut and paste the second URL and get to the page, but with my java application it doesn?t work. Please have a look at my code and let me know if I am doing anything wrong.
