Actually, I'm using WaterFox 28.0, but that wasn't an option.
I try to access my comments to Yahoo news stories. I may be in the middle of posting a comment, or just running through them to see how people have responded. WaterFox suddenly interrupts me with a survey about FireFox. It interrupts what I'm doing, and afterward the only way back to the place where I was is to start at the top of the comments again and search for it. If I was posting, either my post is lost entirely, or it posted in incomplete form.
I've tried answering the survey in the hopes that it will go away, but it keeps showing up. It's exceedingly annoying, and, much as I love WaterFox I'm considering going with Chrome or Torch instead.
I have WaterFox set to block pop-ups, but apparently WaterFox doesn't think that applies to itself.
Does ANYONE know how to make this go away?

You have a bad extension loaded into Firefox.

Uninstall anything you don't recognize from your control panel. (Start > Control Panel > Uninstall a Program

I would like to strongly recommend that you update your version of Flash Player to our currently released version (17.0.0.169) and enable auto updates. The version you are using is insecure and opening your computer (and all of your data) to being easily exploited by bad guys.
As for the error you are receiving, this is most likely a restriction from the website. Each developer is able to specify what the required minimum version of Flash and require their users to have at least that version installed. The detection that is occuring and the message that you are seeing on the website isn't part of Flash Player, but instead part of the website's code.
If you go to this page and click the "Check Now" button, what is displayed (OS, browser and version number)? Do you see the "tree" animation playing below?

How can I keep the same dimensions while cropping in Preview?

I know how to crop in Preview. What I'm trying to do is crop a specific area of a picture while keeping the pictures original 8.5 x 11 aspect ratio. Is there a way to automatically keep this aspect ratio instead of having to maually guess? I always end up with a cropped picture that's slightly too tall or too wide.

You can select the exact content that you want to sync each and every time that you sync if you want to do so. You can also turn off auto sync so that iTunes does not automatically sync without you having the opportunity to select what you want.
Connect the iPad (or the iPhone) to the Mac and launch iTunes.

Only click on apps that you want to sync. Uncheck the apps that you do not want to sync.

It is recommended that most users not keep auto syncing turned off all of the time so that you do not forget to backup your device. I do not subscribe to that belief myself. Besides I have seen way too many users that claim to sync with iTunes or that use iCloud and they don't have a clue about what a backup is, where they can find it or what to do with it - if they even have one. The error is probably that your Worksheets variable is actually empty. Looking at your code I think the problem is that you try and get the value of the worksheets collection from the application then you should try and get it from the Workbooks object.

How can you keep the file name when using "Download Linked File As..."?

I'm a longtime PC user finally making the transition to Mac. Some of the tasks that seemed so simple in Windows have really stumped me! One of the tasks I do frequently is download files into specific folders. After much looking, I finally found the "Download Linked File As..." option if I right-click on the download link. The problem is, when I choose this option, I lose the file name. I get a window in which I can choose the desired folder, but the filename is always "0". If I want to keep the filename (and I usually do), I have to type it in manually. Is there anyway around this?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

HT4236 There HAS to be a way to get photos that were synced from the computer on to the iPad OFF of the iPad in a different way than having to email each individual photo back to oneself. And you can't delete them either, using up vital storage

My Ipad2 has photos synced from my main computer on it, taking up vital storage. I cannot remove them at all, and the folks at the Genius Bar can't help either. Apparently there is no way to remove them unless they were originally taken by the Ipad2 camera. And the only way you can get copies of those photos back on to the computer or another device is to individually email EACH photograph.
There has to be a way to remove these pics to free up the storage.
I almost was unable to load the new operating system because of the amount of photos on the iPad,which ended up on the iPad as a mistake in the first place during an early syncing when it was first purchased.
This is a HUGE glitch in the system. If you know otherwise, please advise!

The first thing is in iTunes; make sure to check the box in Preferences that prevents syncing devices automatically. Then check out the 2nd article, it will get all of your purchased content like apps and music into iTunes. Since update to 20.0.1 I have lost the "restore points" I used to have under "Tools". My life is now ruined. How can i get back to where I was a week ago?

I am operating under Windows XP SP3. I have always,previously, been able to restore my "crashed" sessions under Mozilla Firefox. Since "trusting" in the most recent update to Mozilla, my life is now in "RUINS". I hope you have a way for me to get back to the "world" that was working for me to finish a project me and my late wife, Joy, were working on that I had "many" tabs opened to accomplish this "tribute" and "honor" to her memory. Is it possible you were using the Session Manager extension for this functionality of having multiple restore points on the Tools menu? You can check whether it became disabled, and check for an update, as follows.
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category - note that the disabled extensions cluster in a grayed out area at the bottom

How can I keep windows in front while using other apps?

I want to keep a Preview window in front of all windows while I work in photoshop, how can I do that? I know it is possible, because I saw an artist do it on youtube. He had his references opened up in Preview, while working photohsop, and the Preview window some how stays above the Photoshop window. I know I can just have them side by side by using photoshop in window mode, and shtinking it into a half sized window, but I have porblem rotating the canvas and it is just to small to work when it is like that. He mangaed to use phoshop in full window mode (fills the whole screen) and still have his preview window stay in front. I asked him but I got no reply. So I was hoping some here would know.
