How do I keep the vocal soundtrack from on imported video while inserting clips from another video?

I'm new to iMovie10 and this is a first for me to ask a question on the community support site. Anyway, I have this video of a stationary shot of a demonstration with the presentor giving his vocal explanation of how to perform the task at hand. I also have a video of hand-held shots with close ups and different angles of the same presentation filmed simultaneously. How do I insert the clips from the hand-held video into the main video without losing the audio of the main video? Thanks ahead of time for any help.

First, go to iMovie/Preferences and make sure the Advanced Tools are enabled.
If so, you can use the Cutaway Feature.
Drag the second clip and drop it on the first clip at the frame where you want the second clip's video to start playing. A popup menu will appear. Choose Cutaway.

Hi,
I notice the time and date stamp changed when I exported the photos from iPhoto 11 to a external HDD.
When I looked at the information about the exported photos on my external HDD the time and date changed to the time and date of when I exported the photos form iPhoto instead of keeping the time and date information of when the photo was taken as it appears in iPhoto.
I thought the time and date stamp is in the meta data of the photo file and can't be changed, am I correct?

How can view the meta data from "finder" or do I need a 3rd party app?
"Get info" function only gives me the creation date which is the export date and time.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.

If so, not good, you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone to your computer. File>Devices>Transfer Purchases

file size? you mean dimensions or file bytes ?
Jpg is compressed so it won't be the same
Tiff is losless / lossy format to get the better quality
as for 16bit jpg the format doesnt support it

If you're talking about closing running apps, they changed it up a bit from iOS6. Now you just double click the home button to bring up the running apps, side scroll to the app you want to close, then just swipe up.

If, by "shrink" ... you mean by using the AppSizer, the
answer is "not really". You can configure AppSizer to a defined
size, then with the mouse pointer double-arrowed on the "edge" of a
window, right-click and your window-size selections will appear in
the AppSizer "list" (that you set up) and can be selected there.
But there is no re-scaling of the window contents, if that is
what you mean, so the smaller window may now require scrolling.
But keep in mind that if you use the recording option for
"Software Simulation" > "Custom Size", you can then snap the
application window to that size...

connect your device and right-click or control-click it in the iTunes Source list, then choose transfer purchases from the shortcut menu that appears.
