How do I know if I will be charged for updating my apps Before updating them?
After downloading apps whether paid or free you receive notifications to update them frequently. However, I don't know how to be able to tell if I will be charged and how much I will be charged for it. It has cost me quite a lot in overdraft fees. Could someone please help me?
Updates for free apps are free. I have never had a situation where I was charged for updating a paid app. I guess if you were to be charged for for updating a paid app what would be the same thing that happens when you download a paid app in the first place. You get a prompt that askes whther you want to pay and download

I pay my itunes with PayPal. If I buy something, I don't see the charge till days later in an email from PayPal which only identifies it as coming from iTunes, but not which product. Thus I frequently have no way to figure out whether the charges are legit & what product they relate to. The latest is I just downloaded an app that claimed to be free. Shortly after, I got a $1.99 charge from PayPal from iTunes. I have no way of knowing was that the supposedly free app or some app I bought a couple of days earlier that just now showed up on PayPal. I can't go into iTunes & see which apps were bought when or what I was charged for them. I can't go to PayPal & see was I being charged for an app or song I even bought. How does one verify charges are correct?
Log into your iTunes Store account and click on the Purchase History. All your purchases with the prices you were charged will be listed there. If you believe you've been charged for an app that should be free, go here:

From this we can come to the conclusion that, whether to use one index or not by oracle
would also depend on the data which is present in the table. This has to be this way as
we see in the bind peeking, if oracle sticks to only one plan, say only use the full table
scan, it would be a performance hit when it searches for the second query ie where object_name
='emp';

where upper(ename) = upper(:p_ename);
Evenif we have the index on ename column, oracle wouldn't be able to use the index, as there is a function in the predicate column. If you need oracle to use the index, we need to create a function based index as below.
Create index idx_ename on emp(upper(ename));

It's still wise to check with the vendors' websites for compliance.
Biggest source of problems seems to be printer and scanner drivers.
Appleworks 6.2.9 works fine in SL under Rosetta (note; Rosetta is installed by default in Leopard - in SL you may have to select it from the optional installations).
Check particularly with Adobe products; some you'd think should work ok suddenly don't. -
How do I know if it will fit on one DVD?
So I am working on a DVD project (My first one) and I have about 12 movies that are about 20-25 minutes each in .avi format. The total size for all of these movies is about 3.07 GB.
How do I know if iDVD will be able to fit all of these movies on one DVD? Does it go by the 60min rule regardless of file size, or will all twelve movies be able to fit on one DVD? a DVD golds 4.7Gb of information right? So it should fit theoretically, but it is almost 3.5 hours of video.
Is there a fill bar or something within iDVD that can estimate how much space I have left for a DVD based upon the images, menus and movies I add to a project? I dont seem to find one in the iDVD project window and the Help file did not turn anything up.The size (MB or GB) of the input files doesn't matter to iDVD. What matters is the length (in time).

With a single-layer DVD you can fit up to 2 hours of content (video, titles, etc.); with a dual-layer DVD you can fit up to 4 hours of material. iDVD will make choices of how to render your video depending on your quality choices in iDVD Preferences. -

how do you know when yo have the lastest software updates on your older IPOD? I just purchased on home theater to replace one, Samsung, I was assured that the system would run my IPOD. I've sync'd my IPOD to my computer a number of times before the purchase and since. Samsung is telling me that I need to update my IPOD. My ITunes keeps telling me there aren't any updates out there.

To transfer your current hard drive I like the free application Carbon Copy Cloner. It makes a bootable copy of everything on your hard drive http://www.bombich.com/index.html You'll need a cheap SATA external hard drive case. Put the new drive in the case then format and partition the new drive and clone your old drive to the new one. Check that it's set up right by booting up from the external drive. Then replace your old hard drive with the new one and put your old one in the external case.
