Am i right in thinking that it is a Revison C it is an iSight?
If not how do i know that im looking at a revision C imac?

How my EntityBean knows about its primary key?

Well, i found a dubious place in my EntityBean.
I wrote an ItemBean with some simple getter and setter methods.
It has 3 instance variables:
- String id, (primary key)
- String productId,
- String name
Here is the code of my application client:

i traced the method invoking and checked the server log.

the bean's constructor is called to create a bean
setEntityContext() is called. but now the primary key in the entity context is null
ejbCreate() and ejbPostCreate() is called
( i inserted a row to the DB in the ejbCreate() method)
ejbStore() is called
// when calling remote.getPrimaryKey();
ejbLoad() is called, so all the bean's instance variables are refreshed
but non of the getter or setter methods are called
I think that the primary key is taken from the entity context instead of the bean.
but when did the entity context get the primary key?
I never tell the bean that its primary key is its id.

I never tell the bean that its primary key is its id.You should be returning the primary key from the ejbCreate method. The container picks that up and pops it into the EJB context.

itunes wont open when i plug the ipod in th computer and if i have itunes open and then plug in the ipod it just frezes (itunes) and i clikc ctrlaltdelete and it says 'no answer' (or whatever it says in english).
and when i try to get on the ipod through 'my computer' it also says 'no answer' after freezing and then me pressing ctrl alt delete

There really is no sure way to tell. Your best bet would be to send it into a 3rd party repair company who offers free diagnostics to help you determine the cause of issue or bring it to your local Apple store and see what they have to say.

Did download of 3.6 12.took ages,and computor auto shut down when done how do i know if its installed?

firefox indicated a new download version was advised.I indicated go ahead.the download took several hours and i checked every 1/2 hour
but at 10.30 my computer had shut down.I cant find anywhere that tells me if it was applied? ah I see below i am on 3.6.10 still what should i do now?

When you skip an update, as you did by missing the 3.6.11 update, Mozilla downloads the entire Firefox package which isn't compressed. You end up downloading ~10.4Mb instead of a ~2.4Mb update, or a full, compressed Firefox_setup package that's ~7.7Mb. Not a big deal if you have a hi-speed connection (about a minute or so to download ~10.4Mb), but it sounds like you are on dial-up connection. Unfortunately for you, the 3.6.12 version was released just a few days after 3.6.11 was released due to a security fix that wasn't known of at the time Mozilla decided to release 3.6.11 - very rare for a series of releases to occur that quickly, but it is reassuring that Mozilla can respond with a security fix in like 48 hours from notification of the problem to releasing the patched version to their users.
My advice is to download the installer (Firefox_setup) and install it over your current 3.6.10 version. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Is that a week 38... and how do you know if its a good screen one??

To know what week you have look at the 4th and 5th numbers in rhe serial number. Also remember to search these forums before posting a question. This question has been asked well over a dozen times. To do a search simply type in the words at the box to the upper right of this page.

How Do I Know If Schedule Shutdown Occurs?

Dear Forum
ive scheduled a shutdown of my machine each night at midnight and for it to restart at 6am. its not a sleep but a full shutdown. daft question possibly but how do i know if its done what i ask if i'm not up at these times? is there anything to monitor the activity or somethign i can see where it tells me the machine shut down and woke as commanded?
i'm using the built in scheduler in Power Options... does this work well? i see lots of people do teminal commands via a script. Would that be a better way to go?

I've initiated this because my machine ,which sits on a static IP, seems to lose connectivity after a few days of being on. I work away and access it remotely. once it loses connectivity, i cant access it. i cant remote reboot it anything so have to wait until the weekend to reset it. My wife at home cant access any of the films that stream to devices on it either.
the daily reboot works most of the time, but now i find that if it doesn't shut down properly, receives an error on shutting down, or something else very minor, i'm still left without the ability to access it, as I am at this moment. Wife wants to watch a film with the children and Mini is nowhere to be seen. i try and logon and its not responding. I know that in its shutdown last night it must have come up with an error and is probably waiting for me to log on within the same network to view. Oddly, ive just Teamviewered into the my wives machine which is on the same network and the Mini isnt viewable on her machine either?!?!?!
any ideas on a process to adopt to get around this?
