How do I know if my device is data roaming?

I turned on the device in a remote area on the Canadian side of US-Canada border near MI. Seemed that it was picking up 3G signal as it displayed "3G Verizon connected".  Does this mean it was not roaming.  How do I know when it is roaming or not without waiting for billing to occur.  Will it display an indicator when roaming? Please advise. Thanks.

Thanks for the tip. The device is the mobile hotspot, not a phone. Not sure if the display would differ but I didn't pay attention. Where I was there was no Canadian cell tower so I'm sure it was picking up US cell tower in MI.  I was expecting an indicator or some sort of an alert if I was roaming. The usage on Verizon website does not indicate roaming or not. Is that normal?  I will be sure to check for any triangle indicator if it works like a cell phone. Thanks.

  • How do I know where output devices are referenced?

When deleting an Output device using transaction SPAD, how do you where this output device was reference?  E.g. Batch jobs, user default, etc.  Ideally, I would like a program that can take an output device as an input and give me back everywhere the output device is reference within SAP.

I don't know and Ok, try RSPO0040 (better than nothing), but I really consider this challenge bordering on impossible in any non trivial scenario, if the whole output devices setup has not been thought through from get go (with logical output devices being "exposed" by spool system) and the changes being done under conditions of iron fist discipline... Not one of 5 productive instances I've worked on had a semblance of order in printer setup by the time I got there, not one had a concept, description, anything for printer setup... by the time I had to take care of the stuff I was happy if there was at least any naming convention used.
There are around 150 DB tables that have data element RSPOPNAME in it... more of tables if you consider other data elements for domain RSPOPNAME and who can say if it's only RSPOPNAME... Device names get assigned to SET/GET parameters, to custom development customizing tables not using RSPOPNAME, they get hard-coded in programs, stored in report variants - utter chaos is "normal" state of things in my experience . If you know what functionality is in use in the system (which SAP modules), you can narrow down, but asking for where used list of any reliability for whole SAP - impossible challenge.

  • How can i know the logging time per data acquisition?

    Hi There,
I'm using SignalExpress version 2.5.1 Tektronix Edition.
I'm connecting my PC with a Tektronix Oscilloscope through Ethernet cross-cable.
I use SignalExpress to log the data, the question is how can i know what will the time be for each data that acquire and saved in the log?
As inside the log, under the time row, it just only show number in sequence but not time.
Hope that some one can help me on the matter.
    Thanks in advance.
    Good Day!

    hi Priyanka,
    you can try
    1. check in metadata repository to get the data target name. rsa1->metadata repository->query
    2. if query exist in system, go to BEx Analyzer, type in query technical name or description, and 'change'/display the query in query designer, data target name is on right side (cube/ods).
or 3. go to table RSRREPDIR, COMPID = query technical name, and INFOCUBE is the data target name. (if you only know query description, go to table RSZELTTXT, get ELTUID and put the value to COMPUID in RSRREPDIR to get INFOCUBE the data target name)
after got the data target, go to rsa1->infoprovider, locate the data target, and right click 'show dataflow', you will get the datasource name.
    hope this helps.

  • HT4623 how do you know it wont erase my data

How do you know t won't erase all of my data?

Updating does not erase data on iDevices.  Of course, if you do the update connected to a computer running iTunes you will first get a backup, then update, then restore your content and settings.

  • How Do I Know if Drive Is Damaged?

Hi, all. I accidentally unplugged a firewire drive from my MacBook Pro without unmounting it first. I got the usual "you've incorrectly removed a device ... some data may be lost or damaged" message...
I've plugged the drive back in, and it seems to be doing fine. The thing is, how do I know if I lost any data or damaged the disk in a way that will cause problems down the road? Does anyone know exactly what incorrectly unplugging the Firwire drive actually does to the drive? Thanks...

As far as I know, though it may cause some physical harm if done repeatedly over a long period of time, I think the biggest problem associated with that is just the loss of recent data, and maybe as a worse consequence data that has been on there for a while.
I wouldn't sweat it all, I have a friend who does that all the time, and doesn't care, and he doesn't seem to have any problems doing it. Still, I recommend that you maintain the habit of unmounting/ejecting before pulling the cord out.....

  • How can i know if DAQ hw support "buffered task" and "Sample Timing Hw"?

    Hi,
i'm choosing the corrent DAQ hw for my application. I read in the NI-DAQmx documenation that if would use the DAQmxRegisterEveryNSamplesEvent(..) function, the hw should support the "bufferd tasks". How Can i know what DAQ device support this feature? Then, I know not all the DAQ device support the "Sample timing hardware". How can i know what DAQ hw use this timing type? Does the NI PCI-6220/6221 support these features?
    Thanks in advace.
PS: sorry .. but i'm new of "NI World".

All of the Multifunction I/O (MIO) products, including the PCI-622x products, support hardware timing and buffered analog input tasks.
In general, if a product's specifications include the analog input sample rate (e.g. "up to 200KS/s") then that means the product supports hardware timing and buffered analog input.

  • Software update on iMac. Trying to update software I get message "an error has occurred. the request has been timed out" how do i know if there are updates?

Am trying to update software through "Software Update" on my iMac (latest Lion operating system).
I keep getting message "An error has occurred. The request timed out"
How do I know if there are software dates available to down load.

Two things, bushmanernie (love the name)
First what version of Lion are you running and have you downloaded any Combo updates since you installed it.
Second; I see you only have 10.6.2 in your profile.   You might like to update it.
I don't have Lion myself but I'm guessing you don't have the very latest version.  You can check what should be available through the opening Apple support page > downloads.

    Hey Cherielly,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Since you are having an issue with syncing to a different apple id. You may want to make sure you are signing in with the correct apple id.

How can I know the Devices using my i Cloud or Apple ID?

This information is not available. If you have any misgivings, change your password at http://appleid.apple.com - it should be at least 8 characters - 12 would be better - of which one must be a capital letter and one a numeral. No punctuations signs, and no real words.

  • HT4847 How do I view the pictures that are backed up in icloud?  How do I know they are there before I delete them from one device?

How do I know for sure that my photos from my ipad , iphone and ipod are all stored in icloud.  I want to delete from devices but be sure that I have all of my pictures saved and accessable. Thanks.

Unfortunately, you cannot view them and I would not recommend to only store your photos via iCloud, because iCloud will only do a backup of your device including the photos that you have currently stored in your Camera Roll. I would recommend to store them (manually or via Photo Stream) on Mac/PC or with another cloud storage service like Dropbox.

    1. How does the client device know which Airport to connect to?
The Mac computer will automatically connect to the wireless access point with the strongest signal...which is probably the closest AirPort. An iPhone or iPad may not do this and will tend to stay connected to one AirPort.
    2. How can I tell which of the Airports the attached client device is using?
On a Mac, open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility. Click on one of AirPorts. In the area to the right, locate the AirPort ID and jot that down. Then do the same for your other AirPort.
Move your Mac near one of the AirPorts and log on to the wireless. Hold down the option key on the Mac while you click the fan shaped AirPort icon at the top of the screen. Look for the BSSID. That is the AirPort ID of the device to which you are connected.
If you are close to the "remote" AirPort, and you see the AIrPort ID of the "main" router when you are testing, then you know that the network is not configured correctly.
Can I use this second Airport Express to extend the wireless network via "Extended Wireless Network" while the other two are in "Roaming Netowrk" configuration? Without bogging down??
There will be a modest 10-15% bandwidth loss with the "extend" setup, assuming that the Express is located where it can receive a strong wireless signal from the AirPort to which it is associated. You can avoid the bandwidth loss if the Express is also connected via Ethernet as part of the roaming configuration.

  • MI 7.1: how can know my id device?

Hi, i sync with my device with the server, all work fine, but, in the device, how can know my id device?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Its actually very long process but just a one time job and not tough either.
    1. First in DOE you have to create all Dataobjects which are similar to syncbo's earlier.
    2. For that go to MI 7.0 system and get the syncbo definition file.
    3. Now in DOE go to transaction SDOE_WB and create a new software component version(SWCV) and make sure there is a check box which tells that this appliation runs in backward compatibility mode.
    4. Now right click on SWCV and click on import syncbo definition file.
    5. This will create all data objects in the DOE but you need to activate each of them which in turn generates all the dataobjects and also the distribution models for them.
    6. If there are any rules you also need to activate them.
    Now the client side changes:
    1. Import your old applications "eclipse.war" file as a project into NWDS 7.1.
    2. Go to preferences in NWDS 7.1 and in general setting configure your DOE system.
    3. You have a button which says "Import meta data" i guess, if you click on that
it will take you to DOE system and in that choose the SWCV you have created and also all the data objects (synbo's earlier) and now a new mi_meta.xml file will be created in your project.
    4. Now export this project as .sda file and upload it to DOE.
    Best Regards,
    Siva.
