How do I know if my doc is corrupt?

Hello, power went out last night when I was working on a big project. When it came back, I got the "This document my be corrupt" message, but could open the doc, print a page, "save as," and continue working. Can I assume all is well?

No disrespect to Alec, but I would not be comfortable that it isn't corrupt. Not all file corruption is fatal, and some is not fatale until you're on deadline. It certainly wouldn't hurt to save as .idml and then resave that as a new .indd file. See Remove minor corruption by exporting

Hello, you can also try a partial clean and reload the latest firmware, see if that will work.

How are you creating the file, exactly?

How do I know if my drive is dead?

I have a pioneer dvr-112D and it has stopped reading/writing CD-R, writing DVD. It can only read dvd.
It trys to spin the cds but then ejects the disc.

The Archive and Install, is a reinstall of your OS without loosing your user items (no reformatting of the hard drive).

If you do so, make sure you select "preserve user settings".
One more question- did the drive work BEFORE the update to 10.4.9? The reason why I ask, is there were many problems, of all kinds, but many related to sudden "death" of combo drives, al occurring after the 10.4.9 update.
The solutions were-
1- Reinstall (Archive and Install) of the OS X, then update from "Combo" updates downloaded from Apple download site;
2- Reapply the update only (no reinstall of the OS X), using the Combo updater downloaded from the Apple download site;
3- Downgrading, or, moving back to 10.4.8, or the last version of the OS X before the problem occurred.
Without doing the A&I, you could try the reapplication of the update:

There is also a new update, 10.4.10, which is supposed to have fixed some of 10.4.9's problems:

When updating, it is best to do so from a downloaded copy- not by automatic update.
Recommended update proceedure, after downloading the update:
1-Repair hard drive and permissions (using Disk Utility)

3-Restart, and boot in Safe Mode (hold Shift key on startup, until spinning gear appears)
4-Run the Update only, with no other applications open
If the drive had problems before the 10.4.9 update, it may be safe to assume the demise of the drive (unlucky).

When I open the Airport Admin Utility and click Change Wireless Security, it says WEP in Wireless Security option, does that mean the password and name I chose in the setup process is working then? I didn't see "Not Enabled".
I was just curious if it was working because when I turn on my computer, the internet is on, I don't have to choose to join my network or type in my password. When it said "remember password in Keychain" does that mean only my computer doesn't need to type in my password every time I turn on my computer to connect to the internet?

If you have ECC the formual is there as well. In ECC it will be abap & not jave but the functionality will be the same on the delivered ones.
