i was not given option on install as to 32 bit vs 64 bit install and i want 64 bit for two reasons

How do I know if Mountain Lion has installed properly?

I can only guess that the install process was interrupted, maybe after the files were extracted but before the install, maybe on the reboot?
If it was dome ot would say version 10.8.  And you would have the reminder and notes apps as well, also an easy thing to check.

  • How would I get the Body element background to open at  the scale of the browser window

How would I get the Body element background to open at  the scale of the browser window? I hear that by using an HTML tag or CSS rule I could scale a background that is placed in the body element without using javascript is this true?

The most reliable solution is to use small image slices or tiles and repeat them down and across the page or container division.
    CSS EXAMPLE:
    body {
         background: url(your_image.jpg) repeat;

  • HT4906 how do i know what iphoto i have installed on my computer?

i am trying to get icloud to work but it wont work with uploading my photos for some reason and it says i have to have OS 10.7.3 or higher which i do and i hve to have iPhoto 9 or something???? how do i know whats installed on my computer already?

The following is for this Apple document: iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ
What do I need to use Photo Stream?
To use Photo Stream, including Shared Photo Streams, you need an iCloud account, compatible devices, and up-to-date software:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later
PC with Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel 2.1 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.1 or later
You can still use Photo Stream without Shared Photo Streams if your devices meet these requirements:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 5.1 or later
Mac with OS X Lion v10.7.5 or later and iPhoto 9.2.2 or Aperture 3.2.3 or later
PC with Windows 7 or Windows Vista (Service Pack 2) and the iCloud Control Panel v2.0 or later for Windows
Apple TV (2nd generation) with Software Update 5.0 or later

  • How does CM know that a PACKAGE is installed

I am a bit unclear on how SCCM knows that a PACKAGE is installed.  When a package successfully installs, does the CM client stamp the registry?    What if a package fails to install because of a bad command line, does the client cue the
package to try again later? What if I uninstall the package and I want to install it again (required deployment)?
for applications the above all makes sense, just not for packages.

You need to deploy or re-deploy the program. (package aren't deploy but programs are)
Yes, you will need to deploy or re-deploy the program.
No, if you change the version it will NOT update the program on existing clients but new client will get it.

  • N97 - How do I know what Maps I have installed - a...

    As above!
I recently went to Thailand, and thought I had downloaded the map for Thailand before I went. But when I got there and started up MAPS it started to DOWNLOAD via packetdata (no thanks it would cost 10 Euro/Mb). Apparently the Thai map was not installed, and there were no way of telling (as far as I can see).
Also, How do I know when a new version of a particular map is out?
In my Car System they update 4 times a year and I know when. But Nokia leaves me in the Dark.

The only way to check if the map is correctly installed (other than  believing what Map Loader tells you) is to zoom in over the country concerned and check for the detail being present. Even though I've never had a problem, I always check this way after downloading just for the sake of paranoia.
Nokia Maps are typically updated four times a year, but you won't get a notification - any time you conenct to Map Loader it checks your existing data, and if new stuff is abailable it deletes the old before you get chance to object and you then download the new maps.

  • How Do I Know My SSD Is Properly Installed??

    Hi,
I just received my Thinkpad T430, which came with 500GB Hard drive and 16GB SSD installed (and Windows 7 Pro 64-bit).
I bought the 16GB SSD with the understanding that the laptop would be boting off of that drive (thus making it that much faster). But looking at My Computer I don't see the SSD as a separate letter, and the Windows folder in its entirety appears to be in the 450GB C: drive.
    Link to picture
I went to the Disk Management window, and the SSD is there (see Disk 1) but there is no drive letter assigned to it.
When I right-click Disk 1's partition I can see the full menu but it's all greyed out except for "Delete Volume..."

Is this the way things are supposed to be or has Lenovo screwed up the installation? Can someone tell me how I can tell for sure?
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi Tripplec,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Perhaps I did misunderstand...
You say "You don't have an SSD HD in your system" - well the description for this when I was customising was literally "Micro Hard Drive (mSATA) - 16GB Micro Solid State Drive, Serial ATA3".. can I be blamed for thinking I did have an SSD HD?
Perhaps I also misunderstood the not one but TWO salespeople I called up at Lenovo (sorry, Digital River) to specifically ask about this mSATA drive, where I used the words "So Windows will be installed on this 16GB drive? Is it big enough?" and they used the word "Yes" and didn't give me the explanation you've provided.
The way you describe it the 16GB mSATA is kinda acting like a RAM cache except that it doesn't wipe out when you turn off the computer. Is that more accurate?
Well at least the laptop will be faster in the way you describe it.
I know they make these mSATAs in sizes up to 256GB now... if I installed say a 64GB or 128GB one, I assume I would then be able to install Windows and other programs on it, and use the HDD for storage of things like photos, videos and music...?
But if I did that would it void my warranty?
    Cheers,
    Wassim

  • Adding WWAN to X300 model 6476-CTO: how do I know if antenna is already installed?

It appears that it is relatively easy to add a WWAN card to my X300 (I watched the video tutorial) BUT I don't know whether or not my X300 came from the factory with an antenna pre-installed.
    My model is 6476-CTO
I want to order the Verizon WWAN card (Part number: 43R9151) and am hoping it is compatible.
    Many thanks in advance.

10.5.6 is Leopard. You will need to use the Snow Leopard DVD to install Snow Leopard. I would use my system for a while before installing Snow Leopard. You need more experience before doing installing Snow. And, when you are ready, come back here and ask for advice about installing Snow Leopard. There a great deal more to consider than what might mentioned in anything that came in your box.
I would not update anything yet. Use your system for a while first. Post back when you are ready to update.

  • How do I know if have Mountain Lion Installed on my Mac

Do i have it if not how do i install it? And how do i find game center? Ive checked on my applications folder but it isn't there…thanks.

    1. No.
    2. You either buy a download code for Mountain Lion from the online Apple Store or get Yosemite from the Mac App Store.
    3. Game Center isn’t part of 10.7.5.

  • How do i know an airport card is installed & not working or not installed?

    My Mac details are:
    Model Name: Mac Pro
    Model Identifier: MacPro1,1
    Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon
    Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
    Number Of Processors: 2
    Total Number Of Cores: 4
L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB
    Memory: 2 GB
    Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz
I've always just connected to the internet via an ethernet cable to my router/modem, but now I don't want the long cord going from the phone line to the office within the house. I have a Airport Express and was wondering if I could set this up in the lounge and connect my computer/laptop/stereo etc.
To do this do I need to have an airport card installed. If so, which one and are they easy to instal?
    Appreciate any help.
    Cheers

If you remove the side door and look down at the mother board, you can observe if the airport card is there. You can also use ASP . There are kits for the bluetooth and airport card available. Installation is not difficult. The difficult part is finding the connector wires. these are tucked at the top border of the mother board. The other issue is which lead goes to which connector. You can find the answer on the internet, just Google it.
Bottom line on the original Mac Pro the wireless reliability with that card is short range. Must have not too much interference.
