How can I know about the latest updates / versions which when available for all the CC products, without having to install and check it with the Desktoip Creative Cloud Application ?

Thanks for looking into this Jeff!
I work with an Inventory module software and is responsible for software detection across several computers. Once an updated version comes up, I update our database with latest software details to get it detected if installed on any machines.
    The problem tracking updates with Desktop Creative Cloud Software are;
1)We have to have it installed with the CC applications in-order to get the notification of the latest updates and have to check everyday.
2)Only relates to the latest updates, so in-between we may miss a prior update unknowingly.Hence, the remote machines having those updates may not get  detected with the software version update which would create problem in reporting.
3)For all CC products, there is no base or previous updates available for installation if we miss one.
I went through the Adobe Products Update pages [Product updates] which holds good when it comes to Acrobat and Reader software which I follow to track down any newer updates but this is inconsistent when it comes to CC products like in After Effects CC, Dreamweaver CC etc...
So overall to be very specific, is there any one channel I can follow to get the notifications only for the updates on CC products and then may be I can rely on Desktop Creative Cloud for installation if not available anywhere like in product update pages of Adobe ?

  • How can I know the request is come from the link in header in the filter?

I am using the tile for layout management and each page has a header, menu, and content body. I want to do something at the filter If the request is come from the commandlinks in the header and menu.
How can I know the request is come from the link in header in the filter?

Basically all you have to go on is the request data. Examine the encode/decode requirements for commandLink; you may be able to determine from the request attributes which commandLink has been invoked.

  • Software update on iMac. Trying to update software I get message "an error has occurred. the request has been timed out" how do i know if there are updates?

Am trying to update software through "Software Update" on my iMac (latest Lion operating system).
I keep getting message "An error has occurred. The request timed out"
How do I know if there are software dates available to down load.

Two things, bushmanernie (love the name)
First what version of Lion are you running and have you downloaded any Combo updates since you installed it.
Second; I see you only have 10.6.2 in your profile.   You might like to update it.
I don't have Lion myself but I'm guessing you don't have the very latest version.  You can check what should be available through the opening Apple support page > downloads.

  • HT2404 How do I know which software to update?

I have had my mac book 2 and a half years, I don't think I have updated the software on it since I have had it.
I don't think my software is now totally compatable with safari, and I am having dificulties with corrupt cookies and logging onto certain websites.
I am really rubbish with all this and have to keep reseting my safari to remedy this
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks Lynds

How do I know which software to update?
Software Update will only offer you updates relevant to your machine.
Click on this link for details
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1338
Also I think doing each update one at a time, reduces the chance of the system tripping up over its shoelaces.
With your Safari problems, from the menubar Safari choose Reset Safari and also Empty Cache.

  • How do I know if formhistory.sqlite on firefox 3.6.8 is corrupt?

Ever since I updated to 3.6.8 (Wiindows XP), Firefox looses form history on restart, even though all settings are for it to retain and there is no such setup on my antivirus. I tried support chat and agent zzxc suggested that perhaps my formhistory.sqlite file was corrupt.
Problem is, how do I know whether it is corrupt?
Should I try to reinstall Firefox?
Has anybody else had this problem?

Did you check the [[Clear Recent History]] settings?
    Are you keeping History?
You can look at these prefs on the about:config page.
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.history_expire_days (180) (also affects saved form data)
    *http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.history_expire_days_min (90)

  • How do I know if an email I received is legit? its about a purchase made on my user ID that I didn't do

i received an email saying that a purchase was made on my iTunes account, using my apple ID, but I didn't make the purchase.  How do I know if this is spam or if my account has been compromised?

In iTunes use Store > View My Account to view your purchase history. If needed enable the menu bar with CTRL+B. The email may indicate an unauthorised purchase or it may in fact be part of an attempt to compromise your account.

  • Automatic app updates in iOS7:  How do you know what's been updated?

Once you turn on the automatic/background updating of apps in iOS 7, is there any way to know which apps have been recently updated?  For example, there may be new features in an app that you would want to know about.
    Thanks,

You can also open the App Store app > Updates and it will list the apps and date they were updated.
There should also be an alert in your Notification Center (swipe down from the top of the screen) under the "All" tab

  • How do I know if the security update is really from Firefox?

I just had a screen shot advising me of a 'Security Update' and I was strongly advised to install it.
It offered a webpage for further investigation and an 'Install' button ... I was busy, doing several things at once and by mistake I clicked 'Install' and whatever it was downloaded .. then I thought to myself '''what was that?'''
there did not appear to be any way to verify who, why, what, where etc...
it said the 'Security Update' would take effect the next time the browser was restarted - which hasn't occurred yet, I sincerely hope it wasn't malicious!

I just ran a scan and all was '''Clean''', when I re-started FF it said '''Installing Updates'''
Although, it was my fault, as usual, I didn't read the screen good enough before clicking 'Install', however, I would say that the 'Security Update Alert' could do with looking a little more, er, how do I say this, Security Minded or Authenticated somehow .. having said that, when I compare FF to IE I find I like FF much better. I haven't long made the change to FF and this was the first 'Security Update' I encountered.
thanks for the advise on the Malware Scan - appreciated

  • How can I know if I can update my Ipad 2 without it being locked by itunes ?

I want to update my Ipad,
Can I normaly update it on Itunes, or it may lock it afterwards ? (Like for some of  the Iphones, when you update them, they will lock )
If it may lock, how can i check ?
    Thanks

You don't have to worry about your device being locked as long as it isn't jailbroken. If it is, you should probably update with the next version of the jailbreak software from where you got it from. Otherwise, the update should not lock out your device as long as you let it update without any interruption (ie you don't unplug it while updating).

  • How does JWS know the files have updated? Is this a bug?

Ok, I have the following problem. I have applications installed on computers which are not in the same timezone as the server where the installation is - they are several hours ahead. The 1st time I start the application, it never checks for updates, it just starts the old version installed on the computer. The 2nd time it always downloads the application from the server, the 3rd time it doesn't and so on - regardless of whether the application has changed on the server or not!
I believe this problem started with the JWS from jdk 1.5 - I think the 1.4 was updating properly.

For the basic protocol, javaws makes HEAD requests to the server and uses the timestame informatiopn returned in the response. This code is the same in 1.4.2 as in 5.0.
Your problem sounds like a problem in 5.0 (fixed in update 1) where the timeout value was changed from 1+1/2 seconds to 1/2 second. For applications with offline-allowed, if javaw scannot determine within the timeout if the application has updated, it will launch it from the cache and then continue the check in the background. on the next launch, the update would have completed and marked that the application needs updating. By changing the timeout value to 1/2 second, we caused many apps to timeout where they would find the update within the 1+1/2 seconds, so it was changed back in 1.5.0_01

  • How do I know which firmware to update to?

    Zen Vision M, 30 GB.
I'm running Windows XP service pack 2 (rolled it back from 3 because I read in another thread others could mess things up?), WMP.
Current firmware allows me to put music on device, but I'm having a charging problem where it indicates full charge when plugged in but won't start when disconnected.

Where did you get the player from & how long have you had it's You may need a new battery. To find the firmware version on the player go to the Main Menu>System> Information. The firmware version number will be there along with the # of albums, tracks ect.Rollback the WMP to WMP0. http://forums.creative.com/creativel...hread.id=66060
