Having deleted some Mail messages by mistake, I have had to recover them from TM. I can tell you that the recovery of mail messages will be done at the mailbox level. In my case it was half of the messages in a mailbox. So I recovered the complete mailbox from TM. Then I copied the messages from the recovered mailbox back into the mailbox I use in Mail. I hope that helps.
Please be aware that TM is a backup application and not an archival application. What that means is that if your TM drive gets full, it will get rid of older files which could be mail messages to make space for newer backups. You might want to consider archiving your mail instead of using TM if you need to maintain your mail messages for extended periods of time.

I have an old iPhone 4 that finally stopped working. I have an unlimited data plan and want to keep it. When I called customer service, I was told like in the past that if you purchase the new phone at full price, you can keep your old plan. However, after some time on the phone i was told by the csr and supervisor that their system is not allowing them to complete the transaction without changing to a limited data plan. Seems like people having this problem are those coming from a phone that doesn't have a nano SIM card...so when Verizon issues them one they end up changing their plan. No clue why this keeps happening but stay on top of them. As long as you initiated the request for your plan to be reinstated within the 14 day time frame they should put it back. Interested in seeing how this plays out. There is still one phone in my house that hasn't been upgraded (an iPhone 4). I'm hoping when we do upgrade it at full retail they won't mess with her unlimited data plan

Trying to figure out a way for them to purchase a book that they need to fill in information.

Not as such. You would have to put a pdf version on your web site for download, which the reader would then have to print for himself. A pdf version might look rather different than the epub or .ibooks version, you would have to try that yourself to see how much. -

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.

Am running FCP5, but upgraded to iMac a few months ago. Noted that some features of FCP5 like Boris text are no longer available. Was told by local Apple store that new operating system I now have (Snow Leopard) will drop some such elements. Is this true? Noted same thing in LIVE TEXT.

I have Mac OSX snow leopard , which I think is OSX10.6.8. I did as I was told and migrated to icloud having advised that not all devices were up to the Lion. I now find that the mobile phone receives the emails and so does the ipad, but not my desktoptop. I have received an email from apple saying I would be able to receive the emails. Why cant I? What do I have to do ? Surely it is not necessary to buy another upgrade???
10.7.2 is required for full iCloud facilities, but you can still use your email. In theory you should be able to access your email in Mail at the same server settings, but this hasn't worked for everyone: you can set Mail up manually to access your iCloud email:

I have a client that uses Windows that has recently told me she can no longer open the PDFs I send her. I can't find this elusive "Always Send Windows-Friendly Attachments" setting that I have read may solve my problem. Can someone get me there?

It was from InDesign that I was creating the shared pdfs. I was one of two Mac drivers in a corporate sea of Win users and had to make the change I mentioned in order for the Win users to see my pdfs for review. The difference from what you appear to be doing was that were all on an MS Exchange Server so the files were shared over the company's Exchange Server e-mail system. However, some of these files occasionally went to outside users via regular e-mail and those people had no issues either.
So what I did was tested and worked for years.
You might look at the Adobe forums or Knowledge Base to see if that is a reported issue with newer version of CS. I was on CS2 when I was doing this, and the other Mac driver was on CS3 but had no problems either.
Some Win users I've talked to find a problem opening some pdfs (not mine) in general and found they had to open Reader first and them open the file from Reader's File menu. That most often happened if the client was using an outdated version of Reader. -
My daughter's iPhone 3gs has just been replaced by Apple. When she tried to restore her backup files she was told to upgrade to itunes 10, but she can't because her Macbook is too old to run it. What do we need to do to get all her stuff onto the new phone?
Here's what I'd do, go back to the Apple store, take the phone & computer. Ask the geniuses how to fix this since they replaced the phone. You never know, they may just update the computer for free...its happened before...can't gurantee it will happen for you, but worth a try.
Otherwise, you're looking at purchasing a retail copy of Leopard, however if her computer can handle Snow Leopard you can purchase the $29 upgrade disk & install a full copy of SL. -

I found the answer to my question.
When you attach a device (iPhone, iPad) to your Mac, in iTunes 12 in appears as a tiny icon in the second "row" of the iTunes display. Click the icon and the familiar iTunes display for the device appears. From there, on the Summary screen, you can see the dates of the backups of the device (iCloud and backup to the computer). You can also use the button to backup to the computer. -

MargaridaIt also depends on what documents you are wanting to add these comments to. On documents such as the A/R Invoice/ Delivery, and A/P Invoice/ Goods Receipt PO you cannot change the UDFs on the line item after the document is added (regardless of whether the document is closed). Sales Orders/ Quotes and Purchase Orders line item UDFs can be changed as long as the line hasn't been closed (or partially received/delivered/invoiced).
Hopefully that makes sense. I could give more of an explanation if I knew what documents you were wanting to add these line item comments to. -
